service: - very slow curbside pickup , i've ordered 3 times from here and each time my wait was about 20-30 mins - as of July 2025 for some reason there's only 1 curbside pickup available so either they ran out of signs or someone stole them, perhaps they even blew away by the wind - there is usually one cashier which i understand is a staffing problem - self service registers available but from what i notice not a lot of people know about it or how they work, and a lot of people want to do an exchange/ return which cannot be done via self service selection: - small selection compared to most michael's - not a lot of variety in their selection but is the only michaels in the high desert - if u come here for options, probs should go to walmart instead value: - michaels is like ur last resort craftstore if you are on a budget or your first if ur loaded - michaels has good quality options, but prices are a little high even with the coupons sometimes - sometimes however the coupons are extremely helpful read more

Pretty terrible customer service. I didn't realize they had self service registers and was waiting in line while 2 workers were up front chatting with each other. One finally said for us to use the self check out. When we checked ourselves out we realized that one of our items were the wrong one and we needed to exchange it with the right one. Clueless middle aged manager who has zero awareness. Brought in a picture to be framed. She grabbed the tube and literally started pounding it in the table to get it out. It wasn't a million dollar print or anything, but who wants their art immediately damaged by some psychopath? Leave it to me to save things for the last minute, but came here 30 minutes before closing. Needed a "billion" stickers and I had been to way too many stores with no luck. Somehow found what I needed, but had to dig through the discount bins to match. Sweating bullets as the clock was ticking. I felt so bad to be at the register 4-5 minutes before closing. And if I had gotten attitude- I knew I deserved it. But Misty, sweet Misty, was not only engaging with me but she searched for a discount on my purchases. Nice people Rock! Service was horrible there was a crazy line and only one register open. They where instructing customers to use the check out app which is Bs a lot of people had cash and where being discriminated against because of it. So f you had an app or did self checkout you where good but if you had cash you had to wait for one cashier while 3 managers where onsite and could have easily jumped on a register to help. People where very upset and just leaving the stuff there and walking out.That just shows there lack of experience with customer service. read more

I was in Michaels in Victorville yesterday. At checkout i was watched like a hawk then told by the person who was watching me at the self checkout that i didn't scan all my things so i took that to mean shes accusing me of stealing. She went through my bag and compared my receipt with the contents of the bag. It was embarrassing and it left me feeling a way. I love love love this new location and I love the store. The old store was in a horrible location and the parking lot sucked. I used to avoid Michaels because the parking situation and the ghetto area. Now I am always finding excuses to go to Michaels. The layout of this store is different but it's better and after you get used to it you will like it. Everything is spaced nicely apart to help keep people from getting to packed in one spot. During each holiday they have the best decorations for my house. I love coming to by new stuff to help make my house beautiful. I'm a Christmas and thanksgiving person so it's easy to spend a ton of money around that time of the year at Michaels. Teachers save 15 percent and you can combine that with your 40 percent off one item coupon. read more

I just went to this location and was helped by a very nice lady. I dont have her name but she wears a lot of rings and has been there for 18 years, I believe she mentioned. I must say she is the nicest customer service rep. Hope her managers appreciate that from her since I've dealt with michaels managers and they are very unprofessional and rude. We are living in some crazy times right now. Being in quarantine is hard on us all. I originally thought all the craft stores were closed but later found out that in fact Michaels was doing curb side pick up so I immediately did and online order. I ordered yarn, a paint by number kit and a spring themed kitchen towel for a crochet project I have in mind. I found this so easy. I put my order in late Wednesday night and my order was ready by Friday morning. So roughly one day wait. Pick up was easy they had a sign in the front with the store Humber and you just call them to tell them your there for your pick up and they brought it out to my car. Super easy. In the order details you can also name another person to pick up your order as well. I have a feeling I might use this again before this quarantine is over. I'm so thankful for this cause getting stuff from a craft store during these times definitely helps you hold on to what sanity we have left. If I could give this location a 0, I would. There's a wannabe manager named Summer at the Victorville store that is beyond rude. As there was an extremely long line at checkout and she failed to acknowledge us or apologize for the wait. She just yelled out that self checkout was open for credit or debit. I was trying to do an exchange, and the cashier did a return and asked for my credit card. I didn't have it with me. My comment was, that is a stupid policy. Summer walks over repeats the same thing and doesn't offer a resolution. I said, wow no apology or other option. I had to ask for a store credit. Summer then has the audacity to call me rude and try to ban me from the store. (laughable) and would not finish my exchange. She tried to take my merchandise off the counter, beyond unprofessional. I statched the product from her and asked her to go away, stop talking to me, and get out of my face. I just went to the self check and purchased my items while she thought it was a good idea to continue arguing with me. It was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable behavior for a "manager" Summer, customer service 101, the customer is always right. It's because we purchase merchandise that you have a job. Horrible service at Michael's today we needed assistance at self checkout waited patiently but the cashier was a bit busy of course, there was an extra worker right around the corner in the aisle ahead of us my husband kindly asked her if she can help us scan a coupon but she wants to be extremely rude telling him "there should be someone up there" when she wasn't busy herself practically standing there doing inventory, I've been in retail for years, so I'm not new to this. It takes a couple seconds to help. I could hear her loud & clear with how rude she was to him? practically yelling, when I was just about to confront her, the kind cashier (I didn't catch her name but had long black curly hair was quiet young & very sweet) came over to help us & simply yet kindly explained what we needed to do to scan our code. This was our first time shopping at Michael's and we won't be coming back to this location. However for the rude women she was older, black hair in a ponytail her shift for today 7/30/23 around 1:56pm, she really needs to learn to speak to someone who is not approaching her rudely in any way or form. Why have a sign at checkout that says "ask a team member" that encourages people to ask for help yet to be told that someone else can do it ? Just from this experience ONE person in the entire store was willing to help and I can really appreciate her. However for that rude women that did nothing, fix your services. read more

I love this store as it has so much I need as an avid scrapbooker and card maker. However the store is painfully small. ESPECIALLY around christmas time with all the decorations. While they do have a lot of sales, what they tend to do is have awesome coupons for sales and then dock the really exepensive items (that you want to use your coupon on) by $1 or $2 that way you can't use your nifty 50% off coupon because its not valid on sale items. They do stuff like that all the time. Also it makes it difficult to actually get any items I want. By the time I get off of work to buy whatever it is need, the store has been ransacked by anyone and everyone. I like the store, but i find myself going there less and less. The check out girls are sometimes actually complaining about their jobs while they are checking you out so I guess working there isn't a walk in the park either. read more

Great store for arts and crafts. I had one bad experience here... October of 2016. I guess young men who shop alone are assumed to be up to no good. I was wandering the aisles one day, looking for interesting knick-knacks, and it turns out that a security guard was tailing me throughout the store. But here's the deal if you work in retail your going to have to put in some extra time during the holidays, you have my sympathies cause it sucks; HOWEVER being rude & obnoxious to your customers is not going to change your circumstances. I got in line and proceeded to walk up to the cashier who was in front of her register. As I walked up to her she proceeded to shout at me "I'm not open go down to the end of the registers!". I don't go to Michaels too often anymore however I have a Happy Planner that has to have calendar updates every 6 months, and that is probably the only two times of the year I go there these days. Of course it was a couple days after "Black Friday" and Michaels is about a half hour drive from my home, so I happened to be in the area that day and decided to get the planner. They were pretty much picked over, but I found 1 package left of what I needed. The lines were insane because of the holiday sales, but it is what it is. They had a lady going through the line of people and tagging their purchases to a plastic card according to what was in the cart, in order to speed up the lines, and I can appreciate that. When I got to the front of the line the cashier took the card rang up the order and it was surprisingly higher than the purchases I had made. I had found that they had strands of really nice beads on sale 3/$9.99, so I purchased 6 strands and then two smaller things that were a couple dollars each. The order had been rung, and on my phone she scanned my $20% off the whole order, and 40% off one reg. priced item. It still seemed high. I brought it to her attention and she assured me that the beads had been given the due discount. There was about a hundred people behind me and only about 3 registers so I figured I would just make sense of it in the car. On the Michaels app you have a scanner. I scanned my prices in the car (husband driving of course) and came up with a different total and that didn't even count the phone app discounts. The totals on the receipt were all over the map, of course supposedly factoring in the phone app discounts on the same individual items. When I got home I went over it with a fine toothed comb. This is not the people at the registers fault, but this has to be intentional: The numbers on the receipt for "like items" are all different numbers. I even went over them with my scan app and it doesn't match. If I paid $8 too much for the few items I had, and you have two hundred people getting the same issue on their receipts, someone is making bank on your ignorance. Not many people will go through all the trouble I did to figure this out. BUYER BEWARE!!! This place is ripping you off big time!!! It will cost me half of what I was overcharged just to drive back up there and back to get it fixed. I will just chalk this up to a lesson learned and buy my calendar sheets on E-bay from now on. This can't be coincidence. Those additions on the receipts are jumbled on the registers for a reason. I think people are just so used to computerized stuff these days they assume their receipts are honest. read more

If you plan on ordering ANYTHING from Micheals be ready to wait at least 24 hrs for curb side pick up because apparently even 3 small items takes that long to process. This branch has really poor customer service and it seems that they close early whenever they feel like it. Overall this branch lacks professionalism and efficiency. read more

There was one lady checking everyone out as the rest of the staff was standing talking in the back and the cashier was stuck with a customer so it help up the line. She never called for back up she just stood there waiting for someone to tell her the correct price for an item. Worst customer service ever! Worst experience I've ever had. Went in to do some shopping and brought in my reusable bags I had begun to shop and look around the store is clean and well organized, but here is where it gets weird. I was looking at something not focusing on my cart and I heard my bags Russell and I turn to look and there is an employee looking through my bags and I said excuse me did I drop something ? And she replied " just trying to see what you have in your bags" and I replied with " are you assuming I have sticky fingers and am trying to steal something?" And her reply was " oh I'll be sure you don't, you can expect to have your bags searched as you leave" I was so pissed I got my bags and was leaving I told the cashier about it and asked to speak to the manager... the lady looking through my bags was the manager I was so shook I could not believe that!
