This store has a large parking lot and is in the same shopping center as PetSmart. They're also in the same neighborhood as Sprouts. They sell arts, crafts, tshirts, fabrics, sewing items, knitting and crocheting items, faux flowers, gifts, licensed items like Minecraft, Super Mario, some anime and more, they sell seasonal decorations based on the season (Christmas, Autumn, Summer, Spring, etc) they have birthday items, household items, resin, resin molds, earrings and earring making kits, and so much more. It's a nice store but can get hectic (with long lines) during the holidays. Overall the cashiers and employees seem friendly. read more

Hobby lobby is a great place to shop. Their service is always great. Their lines are always long, but they always have great sales. Great selections of items and they have a good quality items, their prices are pretty reasonable. I come to Hobby Lobby A LOT! At least once a week and the customer service here is always over the top! I am pregnant and there are constantly employees (especially all the male employees) always offering to grab anything heavy for me or to reach something for me from the top shelves. Although I almost never need assistance it is SO NICE to be offered help especially at a a store that I love so much. I always walk in here and feel right at home lol but I mostly keep coming back because of 1. Obviously the store is great and always so much to see. 2. I never heard of Hobby Lobby until this one came to a nearby city. They have lots of neat stuff, and the guy named Jimmy in the photo frame department is extremely helpful. I really appreciated his help. Unfortunately, I didn't find a few of the ladies in the frames dept as helpful. When Jimmy is not in, the others just walk right by you. Nevertheless, most employees are helpful, and I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the cashier named Edna. She is very difficult to deal with, and seems to enjoy being argumentative with customers, even though no one is arguing with her about anything. She is also very short with people when you are talking. Meaning, she interrupts you with an answer, assuming she knows what you are asking before you finish, but she is always wrong about what you are going to say. I, of course, avoid her line whenever possible, but it isn't always possible. Finally, there is always some confusion at the register as to what to charge people, according to what is on sale that week. It causes me some anxiety, because I never know if they are going to apply the 40%, or 30%, or whatever the discount is supposed to be. I wish they didn't have to look on their flyer to apply discounts, I think the items should just automatically ring up at the sale price. That would eliminate much of the ambiguity. read more

I have been curious about Hobby Lobby (HL) for the longest time, but I never took that first step to walk into one of its stores. Today I took that first step LOL. So glad I did. WOW... what an amazing store! I always thought it is a store that sells kits of something for assembly. I had no idea that it is primarily a crafts plus everything else store... well, almost everything LOL. It's the Costco of Michaels IMHO. I'm going to be upfront... I actually came in here to use the ladies room LOL... it was very clean which was a good thing... thank you HL! After walking out of the ladies room, I was just overwhelmed with joy by the massive amount of arts, crafts, non-real flowers (looks real though), materials, home decor, table decor, wall decor... you name it! I ended up walking around and checking out the place... and buying one table decor. Staff was nice and pleasant. Prices were okay. It appears they have 30%, 40%, and 50% off on specific items most of the time. You just have to catch them on sale. My item wasn't on sale and that's okay. I have to say, I can spend many more hours walking around and bursting out in laughter from the life's funny quotes on the decor items. I am in love with Hobby Lobby! But after being repeatedly harassed and singled out by one of your employees, Michelle, I can no longer stay quiet. What I've experienced has not only been humiliating -- it has left me feeling hurt, judged, and completely unwelcome in a place I used to enjoy. The employee in question is named Michelle -- an older woman, likely in her 70s, with shoulder-length hair and a slightly hunched posture. She typically works on Fridays and Saturdays. I mention this only so there is no confusion about who has been responsible for this behavior. Over my last three visits, Michelle has followed me down multiple aisles, stared at me with clear suspicion, and made me feel like a criminal rather than a paying customer. She has called security multiple times to watch me on camera, told me I was being monitored, commented on my tattoos, and even told me to my face that I "have OCD" because I organized items in my cart. These actions were not accidental -- they were persistent and intentional. As a woman of color with tattoos who carries a large purse due to my busy lifestyle, I should not have to defend my appearance or feel like I am under surveillance every time I enter the store. I come to Hobby Lobby to shop, create, and enjoy myself -- not to be followed, judged, or made to feel like I don't belong. What hurts the most is that Hobby Lobby publicly promotes values such as "honoring the Lord in all we do." Yet the treatment I received was anything but kind, compassionate, or respectful. There was no dignity, no courtesy -- only judgment and unnecessary humiliation. It is incredibly disheartening to be treated this way by someone representing a company I have supported for so long. I spend a significant amount of time and money at Hobby Lobby, but this experience has made me seriously reconsider returning. No customer -- loyal or otherwise -- should walk away from a store feeling embarrassed, profiled, and emotionally drained. I sincerely hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed immediately -- not only for myself, but to ensure that no one else has to experience this kind of treatment. The only thing is that it can get a little pricey at the check out. The only arts and crafts store worth going to here in the High Desert. Good selection and pricing. I find all my yarn and scrapbooking supplies here. There are also periodic close outs on some paper crafting supplies so it is a good idea to return and check regularly. Lines can get exceedingly long, particularly around holidays, but it should not be a problem if you go during off hours. Cashiers are friendly. Plenty of parking in the lot. read more

I cant believe me and my wife have never been in or heard of Hobby Lobby before kind of made us feel like we've been living under a rock or something. This store is the greatest store ever they have everything to choose from and at unbeatable prices and the stuff isnt cheap stuff either. We have a large backyard with a in-ground pool and needed allot of decorations for the yard and we happily did not come up short. This store is also a Christian owned store with some great Christian stuff to buy if it fits your liking. Ive had nothing but bad experiences here. The workers are always rude. I went in with a gift card and my phone, expecting them to accept ApplePay (thats my fault), however, they don't. I was short 2 cents. TWO CENTS and the worker didn't care. She cancelled the transaction. Then I placed an order online and I received one of the items broken. It says you can do returns in store. So I went to the store and they first insisted because it was broken that I have to return online. They then said they would make an exception but I would only get store credit. When I have my receipt and paid full price with my debit card. I will continue to go to Michaels and even Joanne's because their customer service justifies their prices. read more

Victorville location: Those of us know about Hobby Lobby want to be at Hobby Lobby. I was there last week to purchase 3 chairs that I was settling on because I reeeally wanted the glider. I spent $325 on chairs that I hadn't picked up yet. But as luck had it I found my glider at another location.. I went back to the Victorville store and was reminded that I wanted to write a Yelp review from my initial visit I initially wanted to write a review to compliment Andrew. 5 Stars plus. Somebody smart and nice - hire this young man and take him out of the corruption of poor management. This young man was so kind, so polite, so helpful and had perfect customer service skills. Thank you Andrew. Management, Take note. At the front of the store was Tanya. Customer Service Bitch... I mean Manager. This girl both times I dealt with her, rolls her eyes and speaks with zero eye contact and the way she speaks to you can't be more disrespectful. Seriously. And being that I'd forgotten to write, I was reminded today when I went in to obtain a credit for the chairs. Yes the young man that she gave instruction made an error, but for Tanya to yell at him at the registers in the front of the store with several people in line. It didn't matter that the young man made an error because she was the one that looked like a fool. I absolutely love Hobby Lobby, as well as everyone I know. I live in Apple Valley, CA. and would be SO happy if we could have a Hobby Lobby store in our neighborhood. So often when I'm doing my sewing or a special craft, which I do all year long, I find things I need and I have to make a list for when I make my next trip to the Hesperia location and pray I don't forget anything. Please consider putting another store in Apple Valley, there are thousands of people who shop at your stores and if they were closer, you would do an even bigger business. Simply because of people like myself, I would be there far more often, and I do unintentionally purchase other items that I didn't plan to buy because they are cute or just because I might use them later. I LOVE Hobby Lobby!!! Unfortunately at this location I did not receive the customer service I'm used to. There is a piece of furniture on clearance that I really wanted but the three they had out were pretty banged up. I asked to speak with a manager because while I'm willing to take it home and do a little work on it to spruce it up I didn't want to pay $200 for something that needed that. I'm disappointed in Katrina for not coming to talk to me. She had someone tell me that since it was already clearanced they could not reduce the price any further. I can accept that. You have to go to register #1 and wait in line behind customers who have numerous items to buy, which I did. Yesterday afternoon I came into Hobby Lobby to return some items that I did not end up using for my wedding. I get up to the line and Katrina was the cashier and as she's ringing up my items and she says that my fake flower petals are not on the receipt. So I place them back into my cart and she says "your really going to put take back an item you didn't pay for". She was so loud and she tried embarrassing me. I tell her "yes because I know I paid for it so please check again." Surprise, Surprise Katrina. It was there. Not an apology or anything. I got my money back and left quietly. This location needs train their employees better because I have to go back for the 10th time to get my money back because these employees don't know what's on sale or not! I've never found someplace with more helpful supplies than Hobby Lobby. From their massive color palette in yarn to the vast array of brushes and specialty paints, if you can't find it here, you'll probably only find online. They'll even special order for you! Very nice stuff there. The thing is, I can't, in good faith, give four stars to a shop that so blatantly pushes their views on me as a customer. Say one thing wrong or wear the wrong shirt, and you can actually watch everyone's faces go from 'friendly customer service' to ' judging you extra hard' in 0.5 seconds. I found that out the hard way when I went in with my Geeks of the Universe shirt and blatantly boyish haircut. Try to keep it professional, Hobby Lobby. This place is pretty cool, I must say. They have everything there, from flowers, to home decor, and even stuff for all you men out there. Also they have some furniture, the place is pretty BIG. I bought a few things, and some of the items I bought had some scratches on them cause they were metal, so she asked if I had a smart phone, I do..so I went to their website and got a coupon, which I thought was cool :) They have Great sales, all in all I would so go back to here, because they have Unique Items, and I Love that :D If your planning on going, plan on staying for awhile, because it's a big store, & look around, enjoy yourself, I know I did :D Also they have awesome sales too, so take advantage of it all :) And their prices are reasonable, depends on what you get. Great store. If you are doing any kind of school, art, or hobby project, this place has what you need. Items range from seasonal items, furniture, arts and crafts stuff, framing, party supplies, yarn, thread and patterns, and other decor. They have so many things that those are the items off the top of my head. My daughter and I go here to get anything she ever needs for her school projects. They even have perler beads which are a bead that you can make designs with and then iron to make them melt together. They even have small model rockets that you can launch in the air. The amount of stuff you can make from items purchased here is limitless. My only complaint and this is a big deal, is the lines seem to always be long and extremely slow to move. A manager is always seen standing in the register area and they never, ever help out the lines. Maybe they aren't allowed to but they could at least call for some backup and ensure that the backup shows. Many times, after waiting what seems like 15 minutes, we walk out and leave our items in line. If you haven't been here before and you are a regular of Michael's, I suggest you check this place out. This would have to be my highlight shopping wise in the HD. Moving into a new house, I spent hours here and everytime I discover something else I need or think I need at that time. I love how it rotates that one week half the store is on sale, the other half the next and some things are just always half off. That being said, full price is too steep for me but half off just right. I have furnished two homes here, my favorite being the huge knob selection, it drives my husband crazy standing there while I pick out over 200 of them for our new home, LOVE IT!!!! read more
