I contacted them via email and told them about the situation and they told me that they thought that's what I wanted (even though I stayed otherwise). She tells me that the rust can be rubbed out with an S.O.S. pad, which did not work. Since I was painting it, I had to sand and grind it back down to raw steel, prep and paint. Whatever chemical they used to rust the steel caused several paint defects. They asked me to call them after I emailed to let them know about the situation, and they did not answer their phone. I've emailed them numerous times with no response. I don't recommend wasting time with this company.
