This is a no frills store. No returns or exchanges, just like a yard sale, except most of the stuff are store returns and never used. They are very clear on prices(the day of the week dictates it). First time customer, been to a ton of bin stores, Great stores and generally great service and great deals except for today I have family that live up in this area so I frequent up here quite a bit. I live in the El Monte area, but like I said I'm up here like twice a month. I walked in the door at about 3:15pm. After about 5 min I asked the gentleman up front what was the amount of the bins today. He stated it was dollar days and that they had a strict policy about opening boxes or packages he advised me that he had seen me do it but considering it was a zipper on a hard case he would let it slide this time if I wanted to see if I had any questions or I wanted to see what it was in any of boxes then I need to just bring them up front and he would help me he would open them up for me no problem I took his advice I took his policy and I followed it so anything that I had questions on I put it into my cart, now ahead of me in the bins was another young lady who was scooping everything over to one side of the bin with a broom and then going through each piece item by item and tossing them all the way across the bin to the other side didn't matter whether it's fragile or not to me it just looked like a customer that was having a bad day come to find out it's the owner's daughter who works there and was going to the bins to bring out more a selection of my items, I asked her about a couple items that she had just brought out and she stated she had to bring him up front to her dad so he could price them, whenever I went up front to cash out I went over the items that I did want the items that I didn't want change my mind on a couple items and then asked him if he could tell me more or if he could open this box or that package so I could take a look at them see if I wanted to purchase that item,or if they were what I needed for each item he kept telling me he was not going to open it cause it's only a dollar ite, after declining about 5 items in a row it clicked with me, that he was not going to stand by his word so I stated that to him and basically told him that he was starting to look like he was running something shady and he replied that it was dollar days it's just a dollar for crying out loud and that I needed to purchase the items if I wanted to find out more about them and that there are no returns no refunds no nothing. I took that as I need to risk my hard earned money cause he doesn't care, well that's not what he stated when I first came in the door I reminded him I'm a first time customer here as I told you earlier this is what you told me to do I am doing what you told me to do now you're going against what you said he got extremely upset that I was even questioning or reminding him of what he said and that this is the way it is I suck to my guns I dug my heels in and said this I'm doing what you asked me to do I could have just as easily opened them up over there you asked me not to do that and to bring him up here to find out more or to see them I'm asking you to do that I kept on pushing the pushing the issue and trying to make him do what he said he was going to do he instead snatched about 20 items off the counter and told me to get out to get the hell out of his store as well as a few other explanatives and started talking to me like I was just some homeboy on the street with hanging out with him and not like a customer. I honestly could not believe it I'm not one of the homies I was just an average customer asking him to keep to his word me what you say say what you mean That's a rule of thumb most people should live by and most people do live by unfortunately this gentleman the father and daughter team don't practice it and I for one will not trust what they say, so I can't trust the business either or the lessons that are being taught here. read more

This is a family owned business and I love to see their happy faces every time I go in. They keep their place so clean, which I'm sure is a lot of work because I watch people go in there and rip open their boxes and destroy their merchandise everytime I'm in there. Their prices are very fair! It's not a yard sale, I don't negotiate pricing with them, they're a store. They always have a wide variety of things to grab and save on. From cosmetics to home decor. My family had been going there from the beginning to support this family business. We are very polite and do follow the rules. One day the guy approached us and literally says "if I ever catch you guys open the boxes again.." that was more than enough for us to leave the business and decide to never go there again. They lost good customers and money by acting that way. Even if you are having a bad day you can not accuse a customer of doing something especially in such a way. Please do not go here. read more

When I walked in , quite a few boxes were open. as I was looking at a hose in a box, the young man at the counter came up to me and said , hey I caught you opening the box. I was dumbfounded a said to him it was already opened. He explained to me if I needed to see what was in it bring it to the counter. I said okay and kept shopping. I picked up another box that was already open and the girl behind the counter rudely said SIR DONT OPEN THE BOXES. I looked at her and replied It was already open, by this time I was getting irritated. Then one last time I picked up another and heard her once again rudely SIR SIR SIR, this time I just flicked it back in the bin. Then I heard SIR PLEASE LEAVE THE STORE. The young man walked up to me ( I guess he thought he was intimidating me) asked me to leave. I was on my way out already. I told him I'm sorry but all those boxes were opened already, and she needed to learn how to treat customers. I have shopped there many times and actually have spent a very good amount of money. Too bad for them. I was in the retail business for 40 years and never treated a customer like they treated me. The lure of finding a good deal does not outweigh the disrespectful treatment. I also have never posted any negative review for any business because it's just not my nature. Im posting this to make the public aware of their failed customer relation practices. The best thing about this country is free enterprise, so there are many other polite and courteous retailers I will now give my business to. This is my favorite bin store. The store is well organized and the staff are extremely helpful. They've made it easy to see/know what the items for sale actually are. From what I've seen, the products are mostly from Target and Amazon with deep discounts. If you enjoy purchasing home, garden and automotive items at great prices, check this place out. read more

Do not patronize this business. So we haven't been here in about 2 months because we were on vacation and had things going on. Anytime we do go in and if we need to see what's in a box we take it up front and ask if the person at the register can open it for us. Or if a box is already open I will peek into the opening that's already been made in the Box by someone else. So the other night we were at a restaurant eating dinner and the family who owns or owns and operates this business was in there with A very small child that was running around all the tables in the restaurant and screaming and bouncing a ball and just being very disruptive to everyone else. Now. We didn't complain to management or anything but we did give the child stink eye hoping that he would calm down or his parents would actually parent. So this time we just walked into the store and the lady comes up and tells us to not open any boxes and this will be the last time we're warned about it and we explained to her that we don't open boxes and then she said well.
