I stopped by this LB location to buy a lingerie bag. That's it.
When I walked in, both sales associates were behind the registers with indecisive customers or customers who had other issues. The fact that one cashier seemed to be new (or just not know what she was doing) didnt help matters.
If a customer walks right up to the counter without browsing, chances are that they just have a question. After seeing that the two customers already being served with were taking a while, an acknowledgment like "I'll be right with you" would be nice. Didn't get it. That should have been my first clue.
I interrupted after a few more minutes and asked if they had lingerie bags. One cashier replied that they were usually right up front, but that there were some in the back. I stood in line a good 15 - 20 minutes before one cashier was free. I walked up and told her all I needed was a lingerie bag. She replied, "Oh, we're all out." I said, "I waited all this time for you to tell me you're all out?" She said, "Hmmm, yeah. Sorry." She was standing right there when I asked the other cashier if they had any lingerie bags. No, "Thanks for your patience" or anything. You know, normal good customer service.
In my experience with LB, you're usually given the option to have items ordered when they're not in stock. That's the least they could have offered after I wasted all that time in line for nothing.
Good for everyone else that got good customer service, but this is not the first time I have visited this store and gotten less than friendly and welcoming service. Maybe I'm a little too brown for this store.
I'll get my lingerie bag elsewhere. read more
