I walked into your "Victorville store" dashed to the customer service counter, and "Alexis M." was at the counter. I told her my Delima she immediately jump into action and quizzed me on "Mrs. Major" (100yr birthday girl) I followed and she showed me a beautiful glass vase, she instructed me to purchase flowers for it, and in 16 minutes I was walking out. I went into Macys at Victorville Mall, saw shirts for my son. The price at the top was 14.95 I thought that was a good deal so we got two of them when we got to check out it was more than 80.00 for the two shirts I told the lady I got them at the 14.95 rack and there was several of each shirt there. She said someone must have put them on in the wrong place. Said we'll do you want them or not I should have left the shirts will not make this mistake again. I called macys to ask about an item in womens apparel. The employees answered the phone, said nothing placed the phone on the counter, and continued to help customers. I could hear every transaction and was left on the phone for 10 minutes before hanging up. No one ever came to the phone. Wow! How rude. This has nothing to do with this particular Macy's department store and everything to do with Macy's Online idea of a "Gift Box" option. If you are going to charge people $6 dollars for a gift box, how about putting a small description or even an image of what the box looks like. The entire reason a gift box is a gift box lies in it's ambiguity or ability to conceal anything about what it is. A red box would have sufficed, but a red box that has "Macy's" stamped in huge letters along with a gift card that says "Someone sent you something from MACY's!!! takes away the surprise! Why not just reveal what is in the box while you're at it? Fortunately I had the box sent to me first for approval and Macy's get a resounding 'FAIL'! I had to call for a refund and was told that it was done as a one time courtesy, well this was a 'one time' purchase for anything through Macy's Online ever. 10 business days to get my $6 bucks back?, The refund process for this company is pitiful at best. I was told that the Macy's branded gift box is standard. Yeah?, standard to who?, new customers who have no idea what the Macy's standard is because the Macy's brand is so full of themselves that they feel everyone is familiar with their counterproductive gifting concept? Maybe you should take notes from other companies like Amazon that know what the principal idea of gifting means, and it doesn't include a huge friggin' clue about where the gift is from!? Used to love going to Macy's for perfume all the time for my collection but lately the atmosphere has shifted specifically the women's counter for Jimmy Choo. Usually the sellers/workers are informative and helpful, but recently there's been a new hire (I at least haven't started seeing her till recent) named Bianca or Blanca she has dark hair looks hispanic? Ive never felt more pressured to make a purchase, I understand slight pressure is normal because they might make a percentage of the sale, however this worker on 9/11 was the most annoying and pushiest salesperson I've ever met. She even tried making up lies saying I HAD to purchase at least something right that second or else I lose on the freebies (which I know were lies because I've bought perfume from that exact brand before and I know which freebies are normal to always get with purchase) I told her I couldn't purchase just yet bc I forgot my Star Card at home in my other purse and if I were going to make such a purchase I would want points for it. I kept politely declining saying I would get it a different day so I wouldn't have to drive back for my card, but she was nonstop. As soon as I finally got away from her, I went to a Macy's employee to complain and they apologized and even told me that she's a third party seller for Macy's. Funny enough another customer overheard me talking to the employee and they even made a side comment to me pointing to that Jimmy Choo seller's general area saying something like "That woman? She did the exact same thing to me and my daughter last week I was here, She was practically forcing us to buy this gift set, we kept saying no and she even started following us after we walked away, so we just bought it so she would leave us alone and we just returned it the next day". I hope Macy's does better on who they choose to let sell at their store because that was highly uncomfortable and not just for me. read more

I'm one of those guys who has an odd shape body that's hard to fit into suits. Long arms, long torso, no neck, big arms and etc. It's super irritating and frustrating trying to find stuff that actually fits. I luckily run into Pamela in the men's department. She really knew what she was talking about and had the patience to help us find an outfit that fit correctly. Every time I come to Macy's in Victorville , I always have a great experience from the cosmetic department. This time I had the pleasure to be assisted by Melissa. First of all, Melissa was an absolute professional and sweetheart. Her makeup looked amazing. I came in search of a daily oil-free foundation because I did not want to use my Estee Launder double coverage for every day use . Melissa recommended I try the smash box foundation and so far im loving it! She also recommended a bare mineral moisturizer and explained in detail how to exfoliate correctly. So I go buy my wife her compact today.. It's at the MAC department.. There is an older lady finishing up a sale with a lady and her kids. The cashier (the old lady) makes eye contact with me , I believe I smile at her. Keep in mind I'm standing 6 feet away from the lady that's leaving .. as I step to talk to the cashier (the old lady) some other younger heavy set girl walks up with an older lady customer.. asking the cashier I was just about to ask a ?? A ?? Then they both start talking to the lady for like 2 minutes blatantly ignoring me which to me is beyond rude!! Finally after 3 mins the heavy set young Macys worker asks me "May I help you ?" Not even a "hi" .. "how are you " like they did with prior customer.. So I tell her sorry to bother you and I ask her for the compact.. so she say "sure" goes gets it and brings it back by then the cashier came back from helping the other older lady the heavy set younger macys worker brought over earlier. Then she she says "she's gonna ring you out " and tells the cashier I'm going back to my booth. Then the cashier rings me out and doesn't even talk to me just gives me my change and says "thank you " I told her .. I don't if it was me or I did something but y'all need to work on your customer service if not just acknowledge the customer with a "hi" she says "I'm sorry" lady shut up lol I thought lol then I told her it wasn't just you it was both of you so relay the message. I was in on Christmas eve, early, and there were clothes and items all over the floor - no matter what department you went into, it looked as though people were doing grab and runs in that store. There was no one picking anything up, total mess. Kohls was spotless, Macys - not at all! I will never go back to the Victorville Macy's. The whole management and staff should be fired and the store closed until some employees can be hired that actually care enough about the store and the community. What a disgrace. read more

We needed a nice store in the high desert so bad and I'm so glad that Macy's came to our tiny mall. I do not like that the store is so small but I understand that because the high desert is a small market for higher end things they can't support a huge store. I'm just used to the huge Macy's in Victoria gardens and I love shopping there. The organization of the store is kinda difficult to understand and it can be annoying when I'm looking for jeans and I have to run all over the store because the brands are divided. I love the shoe department and I could spend my entire salary in the shoe department if I didn't have a family to take care of. Oh did I mention that I love shoes lol. Today we had exceptional service by Marjorie. She was very instrumental in going above and beyond for us. Her customer service/listening skills are fantastic! The Estée Lauder area needs beauty advisers like Marjorie. Prior to my experience today, I would have given a one star. The Counter Manager Semira was rude and I saw her with myself and another customer, stereotype of us. The first time I had 2 of the large train case Christmas PAID gift with purchase and she offered to help me before helping a customer who had already been waiting. The second time, she treated me like I stole something I was returning because I couldn't immediately find my receipt. She wanted to issue me a merchandise credit even after I found the receipt because I bought online with Pay Pal and age stated she was unable to credit Pay Pal. I said cash was fine and she said she couldn't do that either. I asked for s manager and she funnily said she was the manager. I snickered and said, no dear - YOUR manager!!! He came and credited my Pay Pal account with the return. Customers. I'll give you one guess who originally sold me the item I was returning?????? Ding ding. Yes, Semira-the counter manager! If $35 is going to make or break your quota and or commission, you're in trouble! If I see you at the counter, I will not buy from you. I will call back for Marjorie. I used to love Macy's. However, I purchased two items from Macys with my new address. I was told they could not deliver them (order 2434895811 and 2382728483) I received NOTHING!! After much arguing over the phone, I was told, in March 2022, they would take care of it and I would have a zero balance. Today I received a text message saying I owed $71.00 by 5/9. I have not purchased anything from Macy's in over a year outside of these two orders that they supposedly could not deliver. When I tried to call today I was completely frustrated because no one could help me, I kept getting transferred to someone speaking Spanish, and then finally they hung up on me. I should have a zero balance on my Macy's credit card yet there is $71. Again I have received nothing from Macys but a lot of frustration. read more

Today, January 7, 2020 I went to Macy's to buy some make up. Upon entering the store I walked through jewelry...although there were some employees "working" they were obviously to busy for a customer. I went into make up and there were several "girls" talking among themselves. They were talking about make up... Not one bothered to ask me could they help me...in fact the didn't even acknowledge my presence. I looked at a few things...expensive make up that I was willing and able to purchase but still no help. I then left the store... If that is the way the customers are treated and attended to I won't go back....you lost a valuable customer today. When you wonder why sales are down after Christmas this may be problem. The employees are not helpful and it wasn't crowded in fact hardly any customers at all. I won't be surprised when the store goes...customer service is inferior..and poor. It is a nice department store. The store is located inside the Mall of Victor Valley. There are a lot of apparel items to choose from. Furthermore, some of those items are discounted. Of course, the regular prices are quite high. Still, if anyone has disposable cash, I would recommend to stop by this store. Of course, now nobody can shop inside. However they have curbside pickup availability. I remember visiting this store in the early 2010s period, when I used to live in High Desert! It was a good store. Today I went to return some items to Macy's. I had one of the worst experiences with a manager named Leo, he had horrible communication skills using the saying "doesn't know who the cashier that sold me the items, because they are just numbers" I then stated, so they are disposable. Leo also stated "we can take this any way you want" I'm sorry Leo, I don't your background, but you knew that you were talking to a disabled Veteran, and based on that you should have known that I have PTSD, the way you handled the situation was on called for. His management team and bosses need to do something about it, I'm welcome to talk to anyone that has an issue with this situation. Don't treat your customers bad, they are the reason you have a job. Worst Macy's ever! Really bad customer service. There's always at least a 20 min wait at the cashier because not enough registers are open. The cashiers are smacking gum with their mouths wide open. Today a lady was walking around with no shoes on and her feet were dirty and gross! When I mentioned it to the cashier she said "so what". That would never be allowed at another store! People were cutting in line, not lining up in the ropes for checkout and the cashiers just let them cut in front of those of us that were in line and didn't say s word. This is to caution people NOT to order online. The customer service is poor! It took me 1 1/2 hours just to ask for gift receipts. So after being on hold for 12 minutes or so the 1st time I was told to call back in 20 minutes. So I call back, ask for gift receipts, and get put on hold and then get disconnected. The 3rd time I called I asked for a supervisor - took about 10 minutes and explained what I wanted. Well, I can get gift receipts but it shows the entire order and I needed 4 individual gift receipts. So that means if the item goes on sale, the barcode is scanned, it might scan for less than what I paid. Last year I received the incorrect color 3 times - yep three times. Shame on me for not learning my lesson last year. The only reason why I didn't shop in the store is due to the fact of availability of a particular size and a particular item - as the store that I would shop at is always in disarray. You try to support local businesses but it's just frustrating not to be a ble to find the size I need, etc. Think twice before shopping online. read more

My sister and I came to this store and it really wasn't much going on. Staff did not greet us at all. It was just bland. However, when we walked past the MAC counter, with no intentions on purchasing any makeup, there was a loud and fun "Welcome Ladies!". SABRINA These 5 stars are for her and only her! This woman has such a warm and welcoming spirit. She is the true definition of optimal customer service! Due to the pandemic, you cannot sample anything. Sabrina was able to color match my sister and I with the spot on perfrct shade. She gave us awesome tips and recommendations. She helped us pick everything we needed. The Store is great! They always have plenty of clothes to choose from. Recently, the Store Manager, Mr. Avalos, took the time to come from his office to apologize personally to me. This was for an oversight by a cashier who left a security device on an article of clothing I purchased. He even presented me with a small token for my inconvenience. It was very much appreciated. Also, the cashiers always make sure to add any available discounts without me prompting them to do so. I love Macy's and I'm happy they're here in Victorville. read more
