If you don't know, I'm an art teacher -- so I find myself here a lot when I need to quickly find some supplies for my classroom. One of things that I've noticed about this location is that they always seem understaffed. Don't quote me here, but I would say that on average, there are only 5 employees per shift: 2 at the register, a manager in the back somewhere, and two out on the floor. The registers are usually backed up with 4 or more customers waiting in line and it's almost impossible to find someone to help out on the floor. However, when I DO get a hold of someone, they're very friendly and attentive to my questions or requests. I come to this location by default, only because it's conveniently located next to Frostbites. And while this Michaels has the necessities, I am sure that they can tidy up the interior and hire a few more staff members. read more

Yesterday we where looking for something at Michaels and they didn't have it, although on the website it says it was in stock. So today we ordered something for in store pickup at 5:00 and we didn't get a notification until 6:50 that the item was ready for pickup. It was Sunday so they close at 7:00. When we rushed to get there at 7:00 the lady refused to give us the item. And she was very rude. There was also a customer that needed something urgently. But the rude lady didn't let her in, Very bad service. read more

This place is awful, staff are not helpful to customers in the least. My poor mother had to suddenly use the restroom and the staff would let her, they said that that the women's bathroom was under maintenance, which was true, but they refused to let her use the men's restroom which appeared to be fine and they gave NO excuse. Wake up, it's 2018 and the bathroom required a key code to get in, so it's not like it was occupier by anyone. Thank you, backwards thinking Michele's branch for being so inconsiderate and rude to my 70 year old mother. We are never coming here again. read more

I love Michaels stores, but I share the opinion of Shalene, another Yelp reviewer, who said this place needs a little work. The layout is not logical and doesn't flow. Also, I've been to other, even smaller stores, that had more stock and a wider selection than this one. I wasn't asked once by an Associate if I needed assistance the entire half hour I was there, when it was obvious I needed help figuring out their store layout to find what I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I like Michaels a lot, I just think this location needs a little work. The way the products are laid out doesn't make a whole lot of sense and the store is almost always a mess. If you want a product that is out of stock, they can tell whether or not it is "on order" but not when they expect to get it in. Overall, they usually have what I need and their coupons help tremendously. I like that you can pull up a coupon on your smart phone and use it at the register. I go to this Michaels because it is close to my house, but I have been to other locations that are nicer. read more

Ordered online for curbside pick up and did not go to the store to get it. Online cancelling did not have a working link so I couldn't do it. Two days after the order was supposed to expire I got an email saying "thanks for picking up your order!" That was not me and I never picked up the order. I'm not sure if a store employee kept the order for themself or if it was marked picked up accidentally because I picked up another order 10 minutes prior to the email at the Corona Michaels, which is 30 minutes away with traffic at the time and impossible for me to have gone to this store in 10 minutes. Luckily I called corporate customer service and they helped me. I don't think I trust buying at this store again or at least with online order for pick up. Corporate customer service tried calling the store while I was on the phone with them, and the store hung up on them 3 times and he couldn't even speak to anyone in this store! read more

Place has no type of customer service. Went to the frame section and was not asked if I needed help, looked as if I could not be asking a question. Went to the front as I ordered online and stood in line which takes out the convenience of ordering online. I asked the cashier and she advise that next time we can just cut in front and tell one of the cashiers. You need a better process. read more

The employees are always rude and unfriendly and act annoyed at the easiest of questions. I remember when this location was over by the 91 freeway on Adams. I'll skip the part where I worked there for a few days and because they did not give me a back brace I messed up my back so 20 years later it STILL hurts.... It sucked over there, and..... OK, fast forward to 2014. It sucks here too. In a pinch, I just HAD to go get me some Smash Book brand products since I am behind on my scrap book crafting supply trends, and while I get that Smash Books are like 1.5 years old by now, (omg soooo old!!!) their selection was.... Mehhhhhh.... You'll find similar and BETTER Smash-like products in the same area, check those out, they are cooler than Smash Book stuff. :) I forget the brand, but you'll find them.... Spoiler: Smash books are just scrap books but are a branded product line which is already made better by other companies. But their crafting supplies aat this Michaels are always junky looking. Sale items always gone, people testing colored pens everywhere and their sale isle always looks worse than Salvation Army on half price day. Cashiers are sometimes surly here, wait times long, and I think stubbing my toe is a little bit better than shopping here. BUT if you HAVE to get some basic craft supplies because you need to use fat felt tip glitter pens to sign that get well card for your visually impaired friend, then this place will work in a pinch. read more

Went in to this location today 3/22 to buy some spray paint and card stock. As soon as i walked in i was greeted. The guy that helped me with the spray paint, I didn't get his name but he was stocking shelves by spray paint around 9ish AM, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Hayo was at the registered when I checked out. He was so nice. I was very impressed with all the associates customer service! read more

The store is one of my favorites but need to say that last time I went there they had a sign about "all yarn on sale " so when a went and paid they charge me the full amount. I went back and talk to a representative and she said it was only for the yarn on that stand. But the sign didn't said any brand it clearly said ALL YARN . I told her what the sign said and I ask if it wasn't part of the store policy she has to give the price on the sign. She took of the sign and told me the special wasn't available no more. When I saw her name I was surprise because I read she was the store manager her name is Casey . She will need more training on customer service if she has that position. read more

I usually love going into michaels but not today. I was having a really good time browsing and shopping until I reached the register. The cashier was rude from the start. Then I asked her a question about a sale price because the sign read take an additional 50% off the marked down price and she answered me as if I was stupid and couldn't read. When I told her that's what it said she got mad at me for even asking. NEVER!!! SO RUDE!!! I was even going to take my daughter to take this craft classes in the summer but forget it. read more

I went to Michaels today to buy a Xmas wreath. The wreath was in an area that said 60% off. The clerk called the manager Laura and asked her if she could adjust the price that was on the sign. She walked away and never came back. The cashier called her and Laura said she would not honor the price. She was very unprofessional and rude. This place is normally my favorite place to go for crafts for my preschoolers, however my latest trip here was very disappointing ! For one thing this place was understaffed, and the one staff member that I did talk to was very unpleasant. Her name was Laura. When we walked up to the registered she kicked the hand baskets out of her way. When asked about a certain item, she snapped at us and said they were out of it. We have gotten at least 20 posters framed here, all personalized to our expectations and came out great. Well we went today with an odd shaped poster and wanted it framed.... Catherine ignored us standing there for the first 10 minutes then snapped at us when we're selecting the matting saying "you don't need to mess with that" and slapped the counter then refused to use the framing choice we selected. We ended up not continuing the order. If you want a frame just take your Michael's to Aaron Brothers across the street for friendly more interactive experience. So disappointed. Michaels is of course a good craft store with good coupons. However the service at this Michaels is not so great. The store is completely under staffed. The employees themselves are great however it has poor management to let the lines get so long and allow people to be wondering around for help. They are always out of stock on the essential items I need (paper, markers, watercolors, etc), but have PLENTY of scrap booking stickers or kids mission building supplies. I've also noticed a downgrade in service. When I began going to this location over a year ago employees were always willing to help. One even showed me how to sign up for coupons! During my last visit the cashier barely acknowledged my existence and thought her time was better spent talking to other employees. You'd be better served to go to a smaller art supply store that specializes in art supplies rather than going to a big box store -- unless you want overpriced stickers. ETC: Just to comment on their framing, I recently got a mat board cut for $8. Not large, only 11x17 plain white. The lady tried to charge me double and seemed displeased when I noticed her mistake. And I've gotten better mats in the frames that come from Target. read more
