They are always out of a lot of things every time I go. The small craft paint is almost always all gone. The hot glue guns are also rarely stocked. Its not as nice as the other ones. Seasonal is always a hot mess. read more

Word of advice if you think you want curb side pick up- don't do it. Every time I check in I'm waiting for at least 15 minutes with no updates. I've had to call the store a couple times and ask what's going on and even then, still waiting about 5 mins for someone to come out. Best bet is to go in store and at least cut the wait time down to less than 20 mins. read more

My mom purchased 2 4-pk photo frame a few days ago only to return home and noticed one of the frames within 1 of the packs was broken. I went with her yesterday to try to exchange it but they needed her to bring all 4 of the pack back. So she went back today with all 4 and they denied her exchange and return claiming they need the wrap of it because it was being found in their system. Their customer service is trash and their return/exchange is trash. There's no other Michaels in the area for her to have gotten it from and it's their fault that it was broken. Never again will we return to this location with their unprofessional service in helping their customers. All she wants was to exchange a broken frame that was broken by their company! read more

Idk what changed maybe management because this store was always so neat and shelves were always full. Not this time, it looked and felt so empty and unorganized. There was nothing on the shelves, things were everywhere. Signage was off. I don't know what you guys need but it's the same staff that I love and they work their butts off but it has to be upper management changes because those employees do great there's no way they just switched up like that! Visited on 12/5/2024 around 8pm. As soon as I walked in there was a lady who walked out with something without paying. A woman with pink faded hair yelled at the shoplifter and proceeded to talk about her disgust which changed the entire vibe of my holiday shopping experience. The store was filthy. I just experienced the worst customer service I've had anywhere ever. After spending about 20 minutes looking for something with nobody asking if they could assist, I moved to another section where the person who appeared to work there had a phone stuck between her ear and shoulder. After another 10 or so minutes she never asked me if I needed help, and I finally had to reach in front of her to get what I wanted. She didn't budge but actually said on the phone something about how I reached in front of her. Unbelievable. She never looked at me but kept on talking and rearranging the shelves. At checkout the checkers were chatting with each other and directed me to self-checkout, which I did and left. No personal interaction or offer of assistance. There is so much to walk though that you can almost do a different craft each week and be busy all year! During the different holidays there are items to help you decorate your rooms and home! DO NOT GET YOUR BALLOONS BLOWN UP HERE. The lady took over 10 minutes to try and blow our balloons up, I should have checked up on her because I saw her keep peeking at us and then quickly look away, which screamed suspicious.. then she came out and asked her co worker if she knew how to blow up the balloons.. she didn't either...turns out, out of 4 balloons, she successfully blew up 1.. the 2nd one doesn't float and the 3rd, well she poked a hole in it and had the nerve to return it and say it just didn't blow up, while pointing at the hole she made. The 4th balloon, we took it back. What upsets me most is I was only refunded for 2 balloons and they didn't take accountability and replace my balloon they poked a hole in. Super disappointed In this location. Won't be back. She also had the nerve to say they sell other balloons, girl yall shouldn't if you can't blow them up with out screwing them up. read more

This is one of my go-to art supply stores, I do live somewhat far from this store, which doesn't help when I'm forced to wait in a awkward divided line for cash or card. I can see why this store has such a low rating! Went there with my fiancé as she was looking for costume materials. I went to use the restroom and there was a big sign saying the bathrooms were closed. Both bathrooms. There's literally no reason why both customer bathrooms should be closed. When I was walking away from them I saw an employee, a heavy set woman who, when I asked her if there was a way they could open one of them just to quickly use the urinal she said "no, they're closed" and when I asked why BOTH were closed she said "they're out of supplies and we won't receive those until tomorrow" which is ...hilarious since that was the dumbest excuse I've ever heard I asked if the toilets were missing and I think I made her short circuit like she didn't expect someone to debate her on their reason for closing the bathrooms. She kind of repeated the same thing but more rudely and I dismissed it and started leaving. Bathrooms are a right to humans, and just closing them because you don't want to clean them (which is your job) or to try to prevent shoplifting is NOT the customer's fault. What "supplies" would you be out of to make your bathrooms be completely out of service. Besides toilet paper and/or soap, which if that WAS the case then Michael's or the store manager there are not doing their job. Anyway, besides that rudely acting employee, the experience was ok. We bought a couple things, I found a porta-potty next door and left. I'm sorry for any elderly or female customers who may have wanted to use their restrooms and couldn't. I arrived a minute before closing time after racing there to get my daughter a stuffy after she was heartbroken the rainforest cafe didn't have the one she wanted. Eli asked the manager Jennifer if we could come in for her to grab one really quick - neither one of them had to do that but I'm very grateful they did because if not my daughter would have been upset the whole night and next day until we were able to get her one. I ordered online for the first time at this location for pick up. I needed specific vases as the other location off Tyler only had 3 . I was told to order online for pick up to secure what I needed for upcoming event , but I get a text this afternoon that my order was just picked up and guess what ?? IT WAS NOT ME! I called and spoke to employee who said there are bins that people can get their stuff for pick up . I guess they don't have to show ID?? Someone basically stole my a stuff and now I have to wait to talk to store manager tomorrow as they are not there at this time. I will update my review as to the process of refund and what I have to do Tomorrow. I don't even know if they will have those items anymore as they showed only 4 in stock and I purchased 3 which were essentially stolen. Today as I entered the store I asked an employee to unlock the cabinet for the oil paint. The employee said "I'll send someone to open it for you" when I arrived to the paint cabinet I noticed it was already unlocked. So when the employee arrived I said "nevermind, it's already unlocked"...instead of leaving the employee hovered as if I was going to steal something. I let her know her presence made my buying experience unpleasant and I left the store. As an artist our thought process in regards to our creativity is important and having an employee watching you hinders that process. read more

This is for the phone rep with Michaels. I purchased 2 large scrapbooks and a large photo album on 4/10/21. I asked for the receipt to be emailed to me. They had a wrong email, they misspelled my email. I used to get paper receipts but since 2/2021 I now just want everything emailed to me. That way I don't have to throw away paper. So, after I put all old photos away, I found out that I no longer needed the photo album since the 2 large scarp books were enough. I looked for my receipt in my email. No receipt. I called Michaels in Menifee CA today, Sunday 4/11/21 at 8:15am PST, and I was told from the store rep that they can't look up any receipt in their computer until they open at 10am. However, she told me that I can call the 1800 Michaels number - and they can look up my receipt for me anytime. So, I called the number and they looked me up and I was told that they misspelled my email and that's why I never got the email. I was ALSO told that they can't even look up the receipt until 48 hours AFTER the purchase. WHAT? What kind of BS is that? They have my correct phone number for the rewards. But I can't even get a copy of the receipt until 48 hours later meaning on Monday? I bought this stuff on Saturday. So now I'm going to be doing more stuff on Monday. WOW. I wish the store and the phone customer service center talked to each other. I asked the speak to a supervisor and the guy DIVERTED that request by updating my email and I never got to speak to any supervisor at all. This is poor customer service imo. I'm going to Menifee Michaels this morning to return the photo album that I don't need. If you sign up with anyone for receipts to be emailed to you, may you always make sure they spell your email right or else you may be dealing with this. read more

Ever since the hobby lobby opened across the street I've had no use for this store. Their prices are usually twice of hobby lobby. Not only do they never have anything inexpensive in their yarn section, but they barely carry yarn to begin with. Super limited selection. When they do have "sales" they're completely wiped out of the sale items. Hobby Lobby can't relate (they may be homophobic but at least they have craft supplies in stock). Also you wait in line for 20 minutes on average because they only have one register open and if there's two the employees just end up talking to one another or both dealing with a customer as you're standing there waiting for them to check you out. Horrible customer service. I'm upset, I went back to Michael's on 2/6/21 between the hour of 9am-10am to ask for my ribbons that I had purchased the day before around 12noon. I brought my receipt with me to show the staff and told them my situation that the cashier that rang up my stuff on 2/5/21 must of forgotten to put my ribbons in my bag before I left the store and I need my ribbons for my arts and craft stuff that Im working on. Anyway, So that cashier ask someone for help about my situation cause she couldn't find my ribbons anywhere around the cashier area. The person that arrived must have been a supervisor that was on duty, that supervisor went to check for the ribbons and checked there inventory....long story short...pretty much she accused me of liying about the ribbons that I had purchase and tried to make it seem like I was at fault for not having my ribbons and I must of dropped it or something. I'm looking at her straight in the eye telling her, why would I come all the way out here from the other side of the town just for some ribbons that I had purchased and obviously didn't get. "It's literally there on my receipt" and it wasn't in my bag and this isn't my fault. I wouldn't waist my time unless I really really need it. I felt like she was accusing me of lying and she kept mentioning about there stupid inventory and that I would just walk in there to ask for free ribbons. Where's the customer service? I've worked in customer most of my life. I understand of providing a great service to a customer and this situation was not the business. I'm not a lier, I wouldnt just walk into a store trying to play a roll of a thief. I was raise properly. I'm never going into this store Michael's again, I'm taking my service somewhere else. I love this store. It is my crafting hang out. Every time I go the staff is beyond helpful. I went for scrapbook stickers and ended up with other things and the young lady at the counter was so helpful. She showed my how to work my coupons so that I maximized my savings. Since I love fall, this store is my little haven with all of there fall stuff out. It even smells like fall. They usually have what I'm looking for but regardless of the time of year I go, the check-out line takes forever. They never have enough cashiers and the line gets longer and longer while my temper gets hotter and hotter. A Hobby Lobby Store recently opened up just a block away but I went to this Michael's because I had a specific item in mind. The store was almost empty (probably as a result of Hobby Lobby's proximity) so I thought that check-out would be a breeze. NOT! It still took forever with the one cashier overburdened with making her customer happy, answering the telephone, and looking for something behind the counter. Not going back. This Michaels is always kept very organized and clean. The staff is always readily available when I need to Find something which is nice. The only downside of this store is they have now put a key code box on the bathrooms so when you need to use them, you need to track someone down to open the door. Super inconvenient.
