    Full set NexGen
    Dee Dee B.

I decided to come here because most nail salons in north DFW don't use acrylic anymore. I was considering going back to acrylic because I was wasting money with NexGen. The owner talked me through my options and I ended up getting the NexGen anyway. He listened to my concerns and applied the powder according to my concerns. My pedicure was rushed but the polish came out nice and my feet are soft. My eyebrow wax came out nice as well. If my nails still look sustainable in 2-3 week, I will return.

Wanted to try this place out since it was nearby but I will not be returning. The lady doing my nails cut me so much that it looks swollen. I had already told her that she cut me and she kept on rushing her work, not to mention my thumb is already chipping off...Moral of the story just don't come here

Clear polish turned yellow and owner said that's normal

Absolutely the worst place to get nails done. They hurry through everything and don't make sure that your nails look right. When they're taking off old nails they won't take it off completely so your nails will look clumpy. I already had to go back after getting gel polish on my fingernails because they made the polish itself clumpy and so it lifted/peeled two days later. The biggest problem I had with them was I got a french pedicure and the clear polish they used turned yellow by the next day. I got scared that I got fungus or something so I peeled back some of the polish and nope, my nail was normal underneath. Went up there to talk to them and get them fixed and the owner tried to tell me it's from my socks....I spend extra money for gel so that this kind of stuff doesn't happen. I told him I've gotten french gel many times before and this has never happened and I didn't wear socks for two days later!! He proceeded to try to convince me it's my socks and it's normal. Told me it would be another $20 to redo the polish. I'm blown away by the lack of professionalism and I definitely won't be back.

They did an absolutely beautiful job!! I loved their attention to detail and how clean everything is. This is a family business and I will continue to support them. Bring your money here. The prices are reasonable as well!!

    Horrible color change

Just moved to the area & didn't want to drive 20mins to the nail shop I usually go to.... wish I would have now! Very disappointed! Went in for a repair(2nails) & color change! Waste of $15 for sure! I should have walked out when I looked at the nail color selection! Most of the colors looked used & abused! The tech painted my nails horribly! My 2 year niece may have done better! Smh! Will NEVER return to this place! 3 hrs later & my nails are chipping... the brush strokes are visible & even my boyfriend noticed that she did a HORRIBLE job!

I was looking to get my nails done same-day. When I called, the man who answered was helpful and answered my questions. It was a pleasant call. Luckily they were able to get me right in. I brought in a picture of the look I was going for because I dont really know the correct terminology of what to ask for. Lily was the nail tech who took care of me. She did an amazing job and perfectly matched the picture I brought in... Like an EXACT match. I was so pleasantly surprised. The attitude of their staff and quality of Lily's work made it a perfect experience. This is how one should feel when they go out to pamper themselves and I appreciate it very much. This is my new place now and I'm so glad I found them.

So today I tried going their and the lady got so distracted that she cute into my skin

I used to be a really good fan of this nail salon until one day I was trying to paint my nails white and I have dark skin so one of the old lady's there refused to let me paint them white because apparently that color and I quote "are only for white people" so after a long time i decided to come again and omg the worst mistake of my life the lady left my acrylics uneven and she was so distracted that she even cut one of my pinky's with the machine thing she did

I don't remember her name. She was young. Love her work. I definitely recommend the place.

I have been going to Michael's nails since 1996. A couple of different owners but I've had consistently good service.

I used to hate this place. I've lived in the area for years and the quality was just bad. Went in today and was pleasantly surprised!

I've never bothered much with my eyebrows, despite a vague realization that they really could use…read moresome tidying up. When I first heard about "threading" a couple months ago (yep, I'm so with it), I had the mental image of someone taking a needle and thread to my eyebrow hairs to weave them together into some sort of nice shape. This is how clueless I am when it comes to eyebrows. Sooo...after reading rave reviews of this place and finally getting the nerve to experience this "threading" stuff, I called Jamila, who was able to book me an appointment two days later. An hour after speaking with her, she called back and said she'd had a cancellation, would I like it? Would I ever! How nice of her to call back. I dashed out to Carrollton to find Radiant. TIP: It's located at the southeast corner of Josey and Jackson, facing Jackson. Hard to find unless you know that. Look for the Blockbuster on the corner. ANOTHER TIP: Her name is pronounced "Jah-mee-lah." Poor woman probably gets called something different every day, but she was very polite in correcting me. As soon as I was settled in the procedure room, the first thing Jamila said to me was, "Your eyebrows are too light." She then horrified me by penciling in what they should look like. Granted, this is what every woman WITH A CLUE's eyebrows look like, but it's a big change for me. I compromised with her on doing a slightly lighter shade for the tint (which I hadn't even been planning on until she made me realize how bare and ugly my eyebrows au natural looked). The tint turned out to match my hair PERFECTLY, and I'm very happy with it. I'm going to invest in an eyebrow pencil now. What is this world coming to?! Anyway, she then proceeded to do the threading, which was painful, yes, but not as painful as I'd heard. I do have high pain tolerance, so that probably helped. She listened carefully to my request not to make my eyebrows too thin (I like the distinctiveness of my slightly Brooke-Shields-esque brows). They're not shockingly different from what they looked like before, just slightly more polished and darker (thanks to the tint). Next time, I might be more brave and go for a bit thinner and a bit darker. But I need to work up my courage for that. Best part of the whole thing? The tint ($10) and shaping ($10) were ridiculously affordable compared to pretty much anywhere else I looked. And it was super quick and relatively painless (once I got over the initial heart attack from seeing my eyebrows so dark). I may have just started a new beauty regimen. Who am I?! Next stop: find a shrink to help me deal with the changes in my life. Aaahh!!
