Many times staff appear nice and fixated on something, you can be in the store for 20 minutes not get a hello or any help unless you ask. What is posted online and what is in store don't match. Online makes it seem like they have a full in stock store of items. I prefer to see the item when getting home goods before I buy. Online they prefer you to come in store to pick up. I was in the store for a good 30 mins and not one person working greeted me or asked if I needed any help! I was looking all around for things to get a feel of their layout. There were several workers stocking stuff and walking around. Super rude. I saw a lamp that I liked but they only put their displays on the floor and the rest in the back so you don't know if it's available or not. I asked someone if they happened to have two and she seemed somewhat annoyed that she had to go back and check. Then she made a comment about how I could or couldn't be lucky depending on what they have. Turns out they only had one. Not a big deal. She did end up telling me that they had some available at other locations but why in the world would I drive an hour or so away just to get them? Overall, this store is ok but expect to fend for yourself. And if you have a sensitive nose I do NOT recommend coming here.

There was also plenty of wall art, lamps, and basically everything you expect from a good HomeGoods. I went on a Sunday evening around 5 PM, and the parking lot was big enough. They weighed a big handful of all sterling silver (over 14 ounces!) and offered me $10, and when I complained that the going rate, as indicated online that morning, was over $2000 per ounce, they insisted that pawn shops only offer 70 cents on an ounce! And that's not the biggest rip off! I also had few small14k and one 18k gold piece to pawn - a few pieces. They offered me $300, which I also didn't think was fair. I then drove to South Charlotte Jewelry & Loan who loaned me $533 for the same gold (without the sterling silver) that Smart Pawn offered for $300!! So beware! I would never, ever go back to Smart Pawn and Jewelry again! Their prices are out of touch and they are ripping people off! At South Charlotte they were sweet as pie - like I was in a different world. They deserve your business and are only 10 to 15 minutes away from Smart Pawn but worth the drive!
