Mansfield Michaels -- Mansfield Crossing : 280 School Street, Mansfield Interior
    Brandon K.

A bit better. Still not nearly the best Michaels location though. Now that the Westwood Michaels has opened 8 minutes from my house, and is brand new. Nothing compares as well. This specific Michaels store, always is rather empty. At least, when you walk into the store, the right side usually has seasonal stuff but today and my last visit at least was trashed and empty. The back of the store where clearance is, is TINY (as is the storefront sign, which is weird). The selection of the rest of the store isn't a problem and I actually like the layout (since it is the same as most of the other Michaels stores, now that they renovated). The checkout area is fine, and normally doesn't have too long of a line. This Michaels stores is easily described as 4 stars. YET : -1 star for incorrect receipt address. My receipt states they are located at "280 School Street - ST 220", which is half incorrect. It should be " 280 School Street - ST 160", which their storefront and website read. I have called multiple times, seems as they just don't care...... All in all, ok Michaels. Don't go out of your way to go to this specific location. UPDATE : May 2017 This location continues to improve! Shannon and the rest of the employees are just fantastic! Everyone is friendly, kind, and helpful all the time. Here is my message to corporate after an astounding experience here and a horrible experience at the Stoughton Michaels "Shannon at the Mansfield Michaels is amazing. I was looking for black canvases and couldn't find them at any other Michaels. The Stoughton location employees were so rude and didn't even carry the product. Shannon was super friendly here and helped me quickly locate the items I needed. She made my checkout experience fast as well. Wonderful. I will be doing more and more of my shopping in Mansfield rather than the Stoughton Michaels! Thanks Shannon!" Shop here. They are always improving! Still mad about the receipt being wrong, but the wider selection, amazing staff and service make this the best Michaels in the area. 4 stars.

And the pricing is very reasonable! Must check it out. Not to mention the hobby side is excellent too from a great selection of movie inspired vehicles to cars and trucks. Plenty of models to start or in my case restart my hobby interests. Just picked up a starter model airplane for my kiddo there. Good selection as well of military vehicles from multiple eras. Something to check out!

We had a family emergency this morning after we spoke and it affected our entire day. Will followup tomorrow after we open at 12 noon. Again my apologies. The next day He sent me photos of the ones available. Mind you for Facebook yardsale they were overpriced, usually they're $5-8 used, but I understand the cost of a physical business. Before I wrote back I needed to check which ones I already had or had completed, but before I could do so had a personal emergency that prevented me from writing back to the message right away, which he should have understood could happen based on his own message. He wrote the next day, any interested, then I just get a message that says "There is no common courtesy these days..." Meanwhile on my end I'm handicapped from a recent spinal neck surgery going through a medical emergency and I come back and find this rude message when I went to write back a few days later about the puzzles. Had actually planned to buy all but one but this guy's snarky rude remark definitely does not make me want to get the ride over to do business with him and his overpriced puzzles. What a absolute jerk who obviously does know how to offer good customer service. Started off strong only to be an utter disgusting disappointment of a business. I walked into Hometown Collectibles in Emerald Square Mall. As I walked into the store I greeted the guy working behind the he said hi and I proceeded to look through the store. About 10 minutes later an older man (who I discovered later was one of the owners) walks in and starts to loudly berate the counter worker about a person wandering around the store (me) and he wasn't watching me well enough. I have been collecting comics for many years and in the back of the store I noticed a huge stock of comic books, but they are separated from the customers by display counters so there is no way for me to look through or purchase any of them. The owner came over to me pretty much to see what I was doing in his store and I asked about how he sells the comics. He told me a story about how he sold some comics at a low price and that purchaser's friend came in to also buy comics and "bragged" about getting a good deal. The owner does not sell out of the store anymore because he doesn't think he can get every penny he can and will only sell graded books online. I highly suggest you stay clear of this place. The owner does not care about making happy customers only about how much money he can get out of you. The prices are unrealistically high, the greed factor is very strong with this establishment. The owner will not even sell to you unless he is confident he has gotten your very last dollar. The owner treats both his employees and customers with a great deal of contempt.

Everywhere you look there's something that takes you back in time. The owners are awesome and very friendly, which makes the visit even better. I'm also especially grateful for the 10% discount they give my son when he does a great job at school -- such a thoughtful and encouraging gesture for kids. The store itself is neat, organized, and packed with things to explore. There's so much to look at that you could spend a long time just walking around remembering old favorites. The prices vary across different ranges, so there's something affordable for everyone. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

He told me that there's a little something for everyone in this store, and he was absolutely right. After talking for a little I told him that I was defintely interested in some of the retro games. He walked me over to the aisle and explained their selection and which games I could find that I was looking for. They had a huge variety of GameCube and PS2 games, in fact, the most variety I have ever seen in stores alike. Five star customer service, excellent assistance, super down to earth people who have your best interest in mind. I look forward to coming back soon!
