The assistance I received was great. When it came time to check out and I enquired as to weather they gave a military discount and was told, only if you are a member of of Michaels rewards club? What a gimmick and and insult to the military and veterans. How about Michaels join the military and serve the country that allows you to take advantage of its men and women who have served that have you that freedom to rip them off. read more

Went in looking for seasonal decorations. They had a good selection of items and more than a few that I Really liked. The fact that everything was 40% off (and it's still a month until the holiday in question) makes me think items were probably marked up too much to begin with. Overall we were happy with our purchases and got everything at a fair price. read more

I'm a fan of Michael's stores and this one did not disappoint. Packed with customers, but all the registers were open and they had staff stocking shelves. My only disappointment was that the Halloween stock was quite depleted and it was only the first weekend in October. They are able to scan online coupons on your smart phone, so you can avoid paper waste but still save money. read more

This is the worst Michaels I've ever been in. I'm not just saying that because I had one bad trip. This is the closest one to my home and I've been many times. The last time I went was the icing on the cake! First of all the bathroom was so disgusting I had to walk down to Bed, Bath & Beyond to use theirs before I could get what I needed. Secondly, they were out of some things I needed. Lastly when I got to the checkout there was one cashier and 10 people in line. Another person eventually came to open a new register but nobody was sure if she was open for all customers or just one person since she walked up with another woman (a customer) who seemed as though she was returning some items. She didn't turn on her register light. It was confusing so everyone stood in one really long line that wound around the aisles and it was extremely confusing for people walking up. The sad part about it all is there were people doing inventory in the store that day. I could tell because they were counting and had those little machines. I saw what I thought were two managers walking around, looking official and discussing something with a colleague but none of them could be bothered to check out what was happening at the front counter. Clean, has a myriad of stock and doesn't run out of high use items. Have had nothing but good natured help and directions from the staff. At the register, if you have a problem I have seen three people to work until it's resolved and it usually involves a return item. Management stays on top of things. As a guy, I am not big on doing a bunch of hunting around for what I am looking for and I appreciate Michaels getting me in and out quickly. read more

I've always had a pleasant experience coming here. It's in the big Publix plaza, so parking is not an issue. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. This Michaels is located in Argyle Forrest. The store is near Bed Bath and Beyond. The store itself is a pretty good size. They have a nice selection of craft items such as stickers, photo albums, scrapbooks and much much more. Their fondant area is a good size and I was able to find pretty much everything I needed. I have also bought baskets and decorations for holidays and picture frames as they have a great selection. They accept coupons which I really like and their service is pretty good. I haven't had any real issues at this location. The store is well organized but can feel congested. I would recommend this store for your crafting needs. read more

I'll start off with the good. Came in here looking for a specific item. One woman was kind enough to greet us and ask us if we were on the hunt for anything. Unfortunately, they didn't carry what we needed but she was kind enough to point us in the right direction as well as other places it could possibly be in. Another woman who was passing by us on her way to another section greeted us with a warm smile and asked how we were doing. I really appreciate these two women as they made us feel very welcomed! I was looking for a specific pumpkin that was not in an area that I had already looked. It seemed like others had already took them all from the bins. When I got to the check out I asked if they had any more. He said there was more outside in another bin and also on some high shelves that they'd need a step ladder for. So I went to look at the ones outside but they were dirty and had a lot of scrapes on them. So I come back and he said he'd call someone to get the ones off the shelf. So I said well while he's doing that I'll grab one from outside so you can ring in the SKU to make it easier. If he wasn't trying to rush me through the line, he would have understood what I was trying to get at. Somehow I ended up purchasing the other pumpkin that i told him i didn't want anymore. Now there is a line so he's rushing me even more(which i didn't even notice until later). He tells me that I can head over to a certain area and another guy will get the larger pumpkin for me. So I go over there and he's still trying to talk me into getting a pumpkin from the bin. He tells me that they all look worn and that's just the "look". Funny because these on the shelf look 10x better than the scuffed up ones outside. I tell him there aren't any more in the bin in the store and he tells me that I just need to dig. Obviously taking a pumpkin off the shelf for a customer is way too much of a daunting task as he will then have to replace it with another. Mind you, I went back to the bin after he FINALLY gave me my pumpkin off the shelf and it did NOT have the type of pumpkin that I wanted. There was only one and it was the beat up one that I brought in for him to scan from outside. Terrible customer service. I've been in the industry for years and the last thing I'd EVER do is make a customer feel unwelcome and that the display is more important than their time and money spent there. I've been a Michaels fan for awhile now, and this is my usual location. What I love about this store is: It's easy to navigate, it has everything I need or want and more, and they offer some pretty awesome coupons as well. Sometimes you can find a really great sale too. I like that the store isn't astronomically big, where you get lost and overwhelmed. The cashiers are normally friendly and fast. Ribbons, special paper, scrapbooking, flowers, cool tie dye sets, fun gifts, it's all right here. Without getting into things too much... let's just say my brief fling with another craft store has been put to an end, and I'll be shopping at Michaels exclusively from now on. read more

I'm a huge fan of Michael's. They have a lot of cool crafts for many things. I go there for everything I've planned many baby showers and bachelorette parties, so Michael's would always be the place to go to for nifty items. I've always gone to the locations off Southside or Hodges & Beach. Never a bad experience. Just the other day, my husband and I were out in Orange Park and we went ahead and visited this location in Argyle. We both walked in, passing a working who looked at us as we walked through the door and not once did she welcome us in. I'm no celebrity, so I'm not begging for much when I walk through a door, but I'm making that a point because someone else walked in a min later and she clearly noticed that person enough to welcome her in. We were in the front aisle looking at adobe apothecary jars so of course I noticed it. Maybe because we're a young Asian couple... I try not to think of it being the color or our skin, but who knows. There are still people like that. Anyways, so I finally decided on which jars to go with and we're ready to check out. Our luck, the person at the register is the same young lady who pretended not to see us walk through the door but clearly noticed the other person after us. Great. No sort of greeting once again when we got to her line. Didn't ask if we found everything okay like most places would have asked. Cashed me out, handed me the receipt, I said "Thank You", I hear nothing back and my husband KNOWS that is one of my biggest pet peeves, not getting the proper acknowledgment. I really cannot stand bad manners. Please, thank you, hello, and have a nice day is VERY important to me. So my husband goes "thank you, have a good night", she ALSO did not respond back to him. Tell me, how do you NOT hear it twice when it's being said back to back? Now I'm really feeling like it's because we're Asian. That little girl needs to check her manners. She clearly do not need to be dealing with customers. Especially, not in this location. Argyle is full of Asians. If there weren't 3 other people waiting behind us to cash out I would have asked if she heard us, but I do not believe in embarrassing anyone. Maybe she had a bad day, but one day she is going to learn. She might get someone else who won't be as nice as us who will just walk away without being acknowledged back. Especially, after spending some money in their store. We will not be back to this location. No thanks. The 2 stars was because they had the jars I've been looking for. That's all. read more

For customer service, I'd give this Michaels a definite five stars. They were very helpful and friendly, and VERY coupon friendly. My wife had texted herself a coupon (50% off all Recollection stickers and Washi tape), and, while trying to pull up the coupon for the cashier, she accidentally deleted it. Rather than tell my wife 'so sorry, tough luck', the cashier took the time to locate the coupon on HER phone and scan it. The store was also very clean, and nice. The only reason for the deducted star is that the scrapbooking paper supply selection was pretty limited. I'd definitely still go to this location -- it wasn't sub-par in any way, just not an overwhelmingly amazing selection. read more

I enjoy coming to Michael's. They have stuff to fit every single personality. Whatever you want to do they have the means to make it happen. My last project was a picture frame that we painted and glued pictures onto for my grandson. I've also bought several other children's crafts they are usually made out of foam and require a lot of Elmer glue. I especially enjoyed buying the holiday crafts for the children under six years old. They are very simple to follow the directions and to help your child be creative. read more
