During one of my visits, I offered to help with repairs and ended up finding this shop. From day one, the staff has been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. What stands out most is that they never make you feel inexperienced for asking questions. Instead, they take the time to explain how things work, walk you through repairs, and teach you in a way that's easy to understand and encouraging. On my latest visit, I purchased another RC car (which I'm sure my brother-in-law will eventually destroy), along with a new battery. Andy went above and beyond--he found a Traxxas sale and made sure I got the discounted price, helped me figure out a better repair approach, coached me through the process, and even lent me tools and some thread locker to get the job done right. Customer service like that is rare these days. Andy is a stand-up guy, and the entire team has earned my trust and business. This is absolutely a shop I'll continue coming back to every time I'm in Jacksonville

With that in mind, this is definitely a venue aimed at a particular group, but it certainly shouldn't make others feel shy about visiting. There is fun to be had for all. I first visited Nerdities at a Yelp Elite event during the gallery opening but have since visited on my own. I don't know if Nerdities is truly a different business than Mythical Mountain Comics but they are connected and appear to be just a different arm of the same business. Nerdities in a nut-shell is an "art gallery" of geek-culture inspired art and decor. When I went the first time I expected it to feel a bit more like an art gallery and less like a pop-culture store but definitely doesn't exactly fit the feel of a traditional art gallery. There are some very cool prints and sculptures to be had and everything is at very reasonable prices but I have to admit that I missed some of the high-end art that I expected. The few artists represented here have some neat stuff but very few items were limited editions or original pieces. If I am going to buy art I tend to prefer something that has a limited run or is an original work. I would have liked to see some well-known artists represented here that do stuff in the nerd world like Greg Guillemin, Olly Moss, Butcher Billy, or Mike Mitchell. There are also a ton of local artists that do some really geeky high-end stuff that could be represented as well. I do love the fact that once you are done on the artsy side you can just head over to Mythical Mountain and get your fill of comic stuff and toys. This place is definitely worth a visit.

I didn't have time to really look at all they had, but it stayed on my mind all day, while I was at work. It must have been a sign to get it before the sale is over. I needed fabric for 2 projects. One is a royal blue, and they had the perfect fabric for this one. The other one, I needed a gold color. I saw one, I was unsure, but since it was on sale, I decided to get it. I only needed 2 yards. The fabric department is busy! I was like the 3rd in line. It was a gentleman assisting everyone, he was very nice and super friendly. When it got to me, there was an employee trade off, she asked him to go and assist a gentleman, that needed something heavy or big taken down. As the lady assisted me, she asked me what I was going to make, I told her a couple of headboards. She was shocked. We were talking about the person I follow on YouTube Yoduvh Essentials, I showed her a couple of videos, I think she is now inspired to do a project as well.
