I would be remiss if I did not compliment the outstanding customer service I received from Adla!!! she took her time helping me find a pillow to match the one that I was getting. Not my forte she walked me through the pillows and helped me find the perfect match. You do not find that level of customer service any longer, so I was very grateful for her patience, understanding, and professionalism. Homesense - Lighting Stores Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

My sister was looking for a vase, being that Homesense is for home goods, we decided to stop in and see what was available. To our surprise, there were only 2or 3 vases in the entire store, this really shocked me. So, while we couldn't find what we needed, we looked around the store and there were plenty of nice home decorating items. I loved many of the artworks and pillows. I don't live nearby so I didn't by anything, but it's a nice store that has some good variety, just don't go looking for a vase. read more

My new favorite home store is Homesense in Mandarin! I stopped by with a friend for the first time last weekend. The store was larger than the average home store, and I could stroll the ailes for hours. I purchased a few pillows for my couch and love seat. And the prices were fantastic! I saw so many beautiful items, from stemware to comforters and vases. There were lots of clearance items scattered throughout the store. Cha ching! Nearly every section had some mark downs, which was easier on my wallet. I purchased a few clearance gift bags, which were so pretty. Check out was fast and friendly. I used my TJMaxx credit card for the reward points. If you haven't stopped by yet, add Homesense to your to-do list soon! read more

What a fantastic addition to Jacksonville! They finally opened today and I was excited to go inside. This store sells home decor and home furnishings. Everything is well organized and it is very spacious. The merchandise is beautiful and the prices are reasonable. They have furniture, lighting, rugs, chairs, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom essentials just to name a few. Their pretty holiday decorations were also on display. I can spend hours in this store! I'm so glad they decided to open here. read more

If you love Home Goods and At Home, you'll want to add HomeSense to your rotation. There's lots of larger home goods and furniture than their sister stores. I feel like this store is spaced out a little better so you're not on top of people when you are browsing. Like other TJX stores, you can expect affordable prices and there's plenty of variety. We didn't need to engage with store employees but noticed they have a dedicated loading zone out front and employees carry/ wheel tour purchases out to you as you pull up. read more

We were treated so poorly by I believe one of the managers named Jennifer. After being so rude to us we asked her and one of the employees if they could hold 2 chairs for us (1 was damaged) so we could check another store. When we returned to pick up the chairs they had sold one of them. She then tells us they don't hold unless we put money down. Neither one of them mentioned that to us. Very disappointed! When in Virginia visiting my daughter, we went to the HomeSense there, and I was thrilled to find that one has just opened near me. I was curious to see if it would be as grand and it certainly is. First of all, it's huge and the inventory is immense, but more importantly, the quality and variety of items for one's home exceeds one's imagination! It is an must destination for anyone looking for indoor and outdoor decor or just normal necessities. And did I mention the prices are very reasonable and employees extremely friendly and helpful. It was a little busier than I expected but with it being new I think people want to check it out. I found a Christmas gift and a plant pot I needed. Very similar to home goods. Wait for checkout was fairly quick. No real complaints. I think I prefer homegoods but honestly it's the same thing. Comparable prices to HG read more

Love that this location is so close to me! I furnished much of my new home from here at great prices. Staff is always friendly and helpful! Their selection is always extensive in all departments so you have many options and choices. Definitely worth the trip. My tip would be to come back often as they get new merch several times a week but grab it when you see it bc items go fast. read more

My wife and I were in the store last Wednesday at 2:50 pm and came across two wine cabinets we liked, a blue one and a white one. We secured the barcode for the blue one to bring to the register at checkout, however, the white one had a sticky note indicating it was being held for someone named Nicole until 12:50. We flagged an associate down and began to ask her about the sticky note and whether or not we could purchase the item when she rudely cut me off mid sentence saying "above my pay grade" and proceeded to radio to someone else. A "coordinator" came over and advised the woman who they were holding this for was done shopping as they only hold items for 2 hours per their store policy so he removed the sticky note and told us we could buy the item. This cabinet did not have a barcode anywhere to be found so we grabbed the green ticket showing the sales price. We went to the register line and my wife and I were discussing the cabinets when she advised she was walking back to search all the drawers to make sure we didn't miss the actual barcode. Upon her return, no luck. As we were next in line to be called to the cashier, a woman in line behind us tapped us and asked if she could skip us because she was late picking up her son for school. I jokingly said "as long as you're not buying what we were" and we let her go ahead of us without any concern. Upon checking out with the cashier, we advised him of the fact the 2nd cabinet did not have a barcode so we brought the green ticket. He advised it was store policy to have a barcode. In the midst of my discussion with him my wife over hears the lady who skipped us and Ms. Above My Pay Grade, who is at this point the 2nd cashier, discussing holding an item for 24 hours. My wife politely asks the woman what she is purchasing after the woman ignored her at first. She replied she was buying a wine cabinet and when asked which one, she pointed to the one my wife and I were in the process of buying. I requested to speak to the manager, a woman named Jennifer, to whom we had explained what just transpired. She advised it was the store policy that whoever had the barcode gets to buy the item. The woman who was purchasing, Nicole, smugly apologized saying "maybe they have another one in the back". Of course they did not and we were told by Jennifer there was nothing she could do about it. Okay, so we pay for our items and proceed to head out, frustrated. Before leaving, I asked Mark, the coordinator from earlier, what is the store policy if they don't pick the item up in 24 hours? He replies, "it goes back on the floor for resale." Cool... I come back 30-45 minutes later to pick up my item when Ms Above My Pay Grade sees me and says "I'm sorry, if it means anything, I would've rather sold the item to you all." I sternly advised her apology meant nothing as she did not have the integrity to speak up when her manager was present to advise her and Mark had told my wife and I we could buy the item, no less then ten minutes before we checked out. We checked out at 3:15 according to my receipt. My wife and I actually came back the next day after 3:30 and the white wine cabinet had not been picked up. We happened to be seen by the coordinator again while looking at other furniture and he jokingly said "I wouldn't buy that if it has a sticky note on it." We chuckled and I requested he get his manager because 24 hours has passed and according to their "store policy" the item should be back on the floor. Jennifer came back out and advised she was going to hold the item until the end of business and if it was not picked up my wife and I could purchase and pick it up in the morning. Okay.... So... 9:30 am Saturday comes and I'm heading to the store to get what I thought was our wine cabinet only to find out Jennifer called my wife and left a voicemail advising the item had been picked up. I get there at 9:50 am and witness two pickup trucks out front with furniture loaded that appeared to be a 3rd party service maybe. I requested to speak to Jennifer who came back out and advised me the furniture had just been picked up. I asked how this could happen when she told me we could pick the items up if they weren't picked up yesterday. She kind of shrugged her shoulders and said something about them requesting same day delivery and the truck being full yesterday so they couldn't pick it up, which is why they did it this morning. I questioned this and said it could not have been "same day delivery" as the item was purchased on Thursday and almost 2 days had passed. I then asked Jennifer why their "store policies" only applied to certain people like my wife and I and not the woman who missed the original 2 hour hold store policy time, lied to skip my wife and I, removed the barcode from the store (against their store policy, and missed the 24 hour after purchase pick up period? I was met with a shrug and a "sorry there's nothing I can do about it." read more
