The store was a mess but as to be expected when doing holiday switches. They had a ton of sales and even honored the online prices in store.

The weekend before Christmas and a multitude of consumers are out shopping. Pulled into Michael's and found an open parking spot very close to the door. Saw a couple people sitting in their car close around me for a few minutes. Then both of them got out of their cars, put on their Michael's vest and walked in to go to work. A company that allows their employees to park close to the store rather than saving those spaces for their guest is a company that I desire not to do business with. read more

I usually go to the location on Litchfield and McDowell , but they were out of stock on a balloon I needed. So I drive to this location to grab it. The employees at my location are friendly , enthusiastic, and eager to help. This location... compete opposite. Not one single employee spoke to me or acknowledged my existence, or asked me if I needed help finding what I needed. Not to mention the other customers in the store are also grumpy and rude. I'll never come back here . Totally different vibe from my usual location. read more

I can't believe I have to do it, but this Michael's was pretty meh. Right when I walked in I was met with totally empty shelves. Crazy that's what your see upon entry. Not sure if they're out of everything or changing decor but not great first impression. I came in looking for a larger picture frame in white. I used to love Michael's a d could spend forever in there. These days I'm lucky if I spend more than 10 minutes inside or come out with anything. Prices have really increased over time and the coupons really suck lately. Store was clean and I was able to find a frame pretty quick. Service was non existent. I ran into at least four employees and not one acknowledged my existence unless you count the ONE person running the register up front. read more

Usually Have What You're Looking For I don't go to Michael's often. However, when I am in need of craft items Michael's usually has what I am looking for. In addition to arts and crafts, there is a variety of home décor products. Michaels also carries a variety of seasonal products from New Year's Eve through Christmas and every holiday in between Michael's has it all. At times the lay out of the store is somewhat confusing for me at times it can take a while to find what I am looking for and the sales associates aren't available very often. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of merchandice is good. However, be prepared to wait in line it is usually one sale associate working at the registers. read more

Ordered a brush online. Got an e-mail a few moments later advising it was ready for pick-up. Went to the store. Picked it up. The location is very convenient right on the Peoria / Glendale border. Lots of ample parking with nice, wide parking stall because door dings are the bane of my existence. The front of the store was clean and since I hadn't ever been to this location (or ordered anything online from Michaels), I wasn't sure where to go in the store. I went up to the customer service desk where they do the returns and the woman there informed me that online order pick-ups are done in the back of the store at the framing counter. I headed back to the framing order and pressed the button for assistance. A gentleman came out and assisted me right away. He retrieved my online order promptly and additionally, it was accurate. I would definitely order online again for store pick-up. Very convenient and easy! read more

First time here was to shop for some supplies I needed to craft some 2017 Xmas gifts. There was holiday shoppers, but I was still in and out within 15 minutes. Awesome. Great stock and easy layout of the store had me find exactly what I needed right away. When checking out, I remembered that I had gotten coupons emailed to me a couple days before. I didn't want to stand there and have everyone wait while I flipped through my emails looking for them, but I think the cashier read my mind. Apparently she had a nearby barcode of a coupon and she scanned it for me on my transaction. Wow. Even though my purchase was less than $15 to begin with, I still got a discount without asking for one. Awesome. I will definitely be back to this location if I ever need more crafty things. read more

This location is just okay. It definitely felt like an older store with floors that were in need of a deep cleaning - I knelt down to look at some of the paper on the bottom shelves and when I got back up my leg was dirty (like black dirty). They have most of the regular offerings for this chain and we were able to find some of the matching paper we needed that another store was out of. We head to various craft stores pretty often. I have a small shop on Etsy and I like to make things regularly for my store, gifts for friends or just for us to have around the house! Overall: B The staff was friendly and the store was pretty well organized, but due to its distance and the smaller size of the location compared to other stores in the area for this same chain, we will most likely only go if if there is a need or we happen to be in the area. read more

Their curbside pick up is a joke. No one in this store communicates with each other. Took them a whole 7 hours to pull my order. I even went in and offered to pull my own order just to be told I would have to pay for it a second time. Was told by a so called manager that my order had not been picked or even fully received by them on their end. She then told me I had to wait until the next morning to pick up my order. I went home just to receive a freaking email saying my order was ready for pick up. I should have known the curbside pickup was a joke since the 1st time I used it. I thought I would give you another chance but nope. I am really hoping it's just this location. Well I will find out today when I pick up another order from a different location. read more

This store used to be pretty good all of last year. Something has changed, and not for the better. I am an artist who frequently went there to get hanging wires put on my paintings. This is done in the framing department. The framer Jamey was very good and the rest of the staff was also very supportive. When Jamey was not around, someone else would prepare the order, I would pay for the work, and they used to call me when it was ready for pickup. Now they have a new framer Amie who I met in January. She was extremely nice and she did an urgent framing job for me. She happened to be at work that day, so I guess I got lucky. Recently I needed to get wires placed on some paintings so I went there today. Amie was not there but I was not worried because I thought I would do what I was doing for a year. Someone else could prepare the order and I would hand over the paintings, after paying for the job. However, the sales person who showed up (turned out to be the manager) refused to take order for my paintings even though I was willing to pick them up another day. The reason given was that she could not prepare an order when the framer was not there. I asked why. She said she didn't know how much Amie charged for putting wire. I was stunned. A manager was telling me that she didn't know how much her employee charged? Do these people even talk to each other? I was told to come Sat-Tues because those are Amie's work days. It is very inconvenient for me to go to that store on multiple days because the manager has no plans to help their customers three days of the week even though the store is open. This is the worst management I have ever seen in a store. It was around 2:30 pm on a week day. The store was not crowded. The manager just didn't want to do her job of planning, how to help their customers. If one employee is not in the store, they can't help the customer in that department? I am going to look for another store. The Michaels in Ahwatukee was very good but it is too far from me. I will not go to this store On Northern Ave. It is terrible in its current condition. The most mismanaged store. read more

The manager of the store did contact us and apologized for our experience. She said she reviewed their in store surveillance tapes and was truly mortified by what she saw. She added that their behavior was not only inappropriate, but unwarrented. While I don't blame her and I do appreciate her call we will never return to another Michaels store. read more

After Thanksgiving Sale: Because our classroom does a Christmas craft using clear plastic ornaments and glitter glue, Michael's is a must-stop for our shopping tour. I picked up ornaments for 20 ornaments for $7.50. I was saddened that glitter glue was priced too high. I will have to save up weekly coupons for 1 for 50% or something like that if I wanted those. I heard from a friend that they were selling art kits for $2. I missed that. Bummer! read more

We ordered a bulk order that was delivered to this store 2763 according to the delivery service, the Michael's app and the Michael's Customer Care representative we spoke to while still in the store parking lot. The tracking showed that the package was in fact signed for by a specific employee, Leah M. However, according to store manager (at least the one on duty), Amy, the package was never delivered. She took no responsibility for her employee signing for a package that was, according to all other sources, delivered to her store. She passed off the responsibility to the delivery service. She also made a point to tell us that Michael's Customer Care would not be able to help us however, within a matter of moments, the representative rattled off the details of the shipment, where it was delivered, the store number and date. She confirmed that the order SHOULD in fact be at the store. Michael's Customer Care also DID take ownership and offered options. We appreciate Michael's and will continue to be customers but will steer clear of this store under its current leadership and encourage others to do the same. read more

What a disappointment! They almost deleted the whole cross stitch selection. The scrapbooking section is pretty good. They accept Joann coupons so that is nice, but they limit sooo much as to what you can use your coupon on. For example, Joanns lets you use your coupons for discount off pattern books, and magazines, not michaels. Whenever I ask a question about a product no one seems to know about it. I go in here in a pinch because it is close to home, but for sure like Joanns and Hobby Lobby much better. read more

I registered myself and two others for the cupcake decorating class, first the website would not allow you to register so I called And I spoke to two managers one Mary and one Leah . Leah registered me and sent me an email list of all the supplies that I needed and then I called back the day before the class and the manager Mary who is the assistant manager argued with me and told me that I'm not actually registered for the class and that I do not need to purchase supplies for the classes but I tried to let her know it clearly states that I needed to purchase $35 worth of products for the class that was free I then finally spoke to Leah the day of the class she clearly stated that Mary was absolutely wrong and they would give us all the supplies that we needed! when I got to the class Mary was pissed and told us we all had to share supplies spatulas paint brushes which everybody had their own cupcakes and would have prolonged the class so we demanded that the instructor get the supplies that each of us needed Mary was pissed came into the classroom giving us dirty looks telling us we don't need anything else very nasty she should never be in customer service such barbaric behavior trashy behavior! Leah the manager was super nice I'm just sorry anyone would have to work with someone like Mary so vile! read more

Usually, everyone is friendly & the store is kept pretty neat. The cashier named Andrea, was VERY rude on one particular day. She told my mother a certain price on storage containers when she asked earlier. When she was getting ready to pay, the cashier told her a different price. My mother told her but that's not the price you stated. Andrea then goes on to say, WELL, IT'S SIMPLE MATH IF YOU KNOW HOW TO COUNT, $3, $6 $9 IS WHAT THE PRICE IS. I was shocked & had my mouth drop to the floor. I asked for her name & she said Andrea & said WELL MY MANAGER IS OVER THERE IN THE CORNER. I said no, that's okay I will just talk to corporate. It was obvious no reprimand was going to occur. I am never going to shop here again. I cannot believe how rude she was. When I was going to pay, she just told me the price & just gave me the receipt. No apology, no hello, no thank you, no have a good day. She should NOT be in customer service. I'm disappointed in Michael's especially since it is so close to my home & now I have to drive to Joanne's, or another craft store. read more
