I was working on a project and needed some specialty items and couldn't find it any arts and crafts stores near me. I found this store and looked it up, and they had the peacock feathers in stock. That's how I got here. This store is located in Main Street at Exton next to Old Navy and Burlington coat factory. The parking lot is shared and plenty. As you enter the store, you pick up a cart, and you will see how well the store is maintained and stocked. Things are arranged well, and aisles are clearly marked. The staff was friendly and answered my questions with patience and even walked with me to locate the items I needed. I also installed their app and found coupons and used it for purchase and provides great value to the shop. read more

Self Check out has evolved from a convenience when I have one or two things - to MANDATORY even when I have a basket full of items. I was informed of this by the store manager as I was waiting for someone to come man the cash register. I asked if I could get the employee discount if I do their work for them. This was a "no" but the manager said he could "help" me check out. He ran my items through and balanced them on the counter. I told him I don't do self checkout because I'm trying to save their jobs. He responded (in front of the 3 employees that were standing around at the helium station) that nobody will loose their job because of this policy. I observed that to be obvious bullsh!t - why else would they do it. I was rightfully called out for my language - there were no kids around but there certainly could have been. After he showed me out EASY it was (completely missing the point) he said I could run my card and walked away. I said "I guess I have to bag this all myself now too?" To which he replied, "Oh, you didn't tell me you wanted it bagged." I'm curious, did he think I was just going to gather my 30 items up in my arms and carry them out? I would think they would cover that in Management School. I have spent thousands of dollars at this Michaels over the years and I'm sad to see your service so degraded. read more

This location always has fantastic stock, cleaned up shelves, decent deals, and great variety. I worry they keep going more towards toys and candy but so far the craft and frame supplies seem to stay centered and their class offerings are always fun. Good parking and other shopping spots close by. read more

Kristy is incredible and has exquisite taste and a high level of attention to detail. She really pays attention to what the customer wants and always make sure the customer is happy. While I was there another lady was picking up a frame that Kristy made for her. It was for her daughter who was going through treatment and Kristy did such a gorgeous job. She had picked out the matting and it looked so professional and perfectly executed. The lady had tears in her eyes for the level of work Kristy put in. I had worked very hard on publishing a paper and wanted to frame it. Kristy realized that the frame I bought off the shelf should have master glass so I paid extra for it and Kristy took it to the back and told me to come back in a few days so that she could make sure that she measured it and put it together perfectly. She really cares and it shows. I really appreciate her and her kindness and professionalism. She is a lovely person and excellent artist. Every time I've gone to this Michael's, they have had what I needed. I shop at Michael's all the time so it is great to know that this store is always updating its shelves and that it is so close to my new apartment. I think it will be a little dangerous with my love for decorations and shopping, but I'm thankful for the services they provide. The people that work there also know where items are located which makes it easy for me when it comes to asking questions. read more

Had to run down to Exton Michaels for last-minute supplies on a dog memorial ornament I made for a charity auction. Online said my store had plenty, nope! My store was less than professional about it, not even an apology for the wasted trip due to their lying website. Called Exton ahead and the associate who answered was polite and professional. She ran to locate merch, held it for me, whipped it out when I arrived. No issues. Thank you! Ironically this was my second trip to this store, and the prior one was for more supplies on projects for the same charity auction (which were unavailable elsewhere)! Exton will deliver. Apparently this place has what you need, when the other locations nearby don't! read more

Disgusted that there were no motorized carts in store. Associate said that they 'might' have some wheelchairs but there were none at entrance. I will not be going to this store again. read more

A big store that's organized and clean. There were plenty of sales happening and we had a coupon for 40% off one item that brought us in. We were looking for sewing things and knew they weren't going to have the selection that Jo Ann's would but they did have some tools. No fabric whatsoever. Any kind of apparel crafting I would go to Jo Ann's and stick to Michaels for the rest depending on where you live. read more

Very sad and non-productive visit to Michael's in Exton today. I'm an avid scrapbooking and paper crafter and have counted on Michael's several aisles of crafting supplies for many years. Stopped in today on my lunch hour and found staff packing up the stickers aisle as well as stamping supplies and tools (like the Fiskars and We R Memory Keepers lines). Is the store closing? Without Michael's in the area we are forced to buy online via Amazon and the 2 or 3 remaining online scrapbook sites....had to walk out not spending a penny. read more
