When it apparently went to Puerto Rico (on its way to Colorado) and hadn't arrived after a week (2 day shipping), I inquired with the USPS and was told I couldn't track it as I wasn't the shipper. When I contacted GCW, I got unhelpful responses essentially saying, "it shipped, we're no longer responsible". I'm still waiting for the package to leave PR, and have no idea when I'll get it. The person at Great Craft Works doesn't give me a name, any suggestions for getting the product to me sooner (and having me return the original package whenever it arrives), and isn't even friendly or sympathetic to my issue. I was going to set up a wholesale account with them for my business, but now I won't given the poor communication and customer support. To follow up: I got an email this morning from "Stan" today saying: "If you read our shipping and ordering information page. We always take about a week to ship. We are set up to handle the bigger accounts like stores and designers which allow for great shipping times. You may be happier with Amazon or your local bead shop. If you're a small business or an individual, don't expect to be treated well by this company.

I've personally taken several Polish language classes through the Night School. The instructor was great and you can't beat the cost - around $100 for 8 weeks. I've also enjoyed classes on the history of espionage and volleyball through the Night School. For adults who enjoy life-long learning, but aren't concerned with earning college credits, the courses offered by the Night School are perfect. No tests or grades - just the fun part of learning. Why, thank you, sir, how well-bred you are! (This is something called manners, that I would NEVER hear at the Wayne store.) I was loving the other clientele, and didn't even mind waiting in line the night before V-day! This store is bigger than it looks, and they have it packed with stuff, as is normally the set-up for Hallmark stores. Light and bright inside, smelling fragrant, and it felt homey and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. A customer in line ahead of me left without her license, and the associate got right on top of calling the customer's cell (which she had given for the rewards program) to make sure she didn't get far without it. After a one on one consultation, it was clear that Lauren could see my vision for the shop. There is something to be said for working directly with your designer, especially when you are investing so much of yourself into a project. I believe that Lauren Brown was excited for the concept I was working on and totally poured herself into the design of my logo. After seeing what Lauren put together for me, I hired her to do all of my branding. My shop is only a couple of months old now and doing well. I have to give Lauren some credit for our initial success. Our logo and branding very effectively communicates who we are and attracts our target market. My inspiration for taking time to write this comes from a compliment paid to me by a customer. They first asked who had done the design and then went on to say that they were also a graphic designer ( he shared his portfolio with me and it was impressive). This guy then admitted that he is usually quite critical when it comes to logos and branding and finds most people get it wrong. But, he said, in this case, he couldn't find a single thing he'd do differently!
