I enjoyed the project and learned about the process. Though, I should have started with an easier kit. Finley's Art Shoppe was really helpful in figuring out a nice frame and mounting. When I created this mosaic, I had to hide the uneven mosaic boarder, and they did a great job centering it. After I get done my second, simpler kit from Intessere, I will have them frame it!

While I was being rung up (by a wonderful staff member) and other patron was donating art and filling out paperwork. One of the employees assisted and because the paperwork was messed up the owner said loudly and with a tone "there are too many hands in the pot". The employee and artist looked flabbergasted and I was shocked at the way the owner handles herself. Although the store has alot of supplies not found in craft stores, what I went for the employee stated they were out of stock of 5 items for watercolor. The staff was extremely nice, but because of the owners personality I will not be returning.

The parking lot is shared but huge with ample parking. You can pick up carts or small bags as you walk in the store. The store layout is very appealing and should be able to sort things out after couple of visits, also the aisles are marked well. On left hand side the seasonal art and craft supplies were amazing starting from Halloween, Thanksgiving and the huge collection of Christmas items Then it leads to the back of the store where you can find greeting cards, Stationeries and school projects and towards right back end you can see the portraits section. So I hunted for art supplies in Philly on a whim, and there was a sibling! And wandering around on Yelp, I've found yet another! This A&C S is the smallest of the three that I have been so lucky to visit. There is something to be said for a downstairs space to rummage and roam for treasure. While this one is one floor, it is still a worthy member of the clan. I tried to go for just one or two items, but ended up with a slew of pens and pencils. My only regret was the fact that my carry on was the limit, not the items in the store. The staff were a great balance of attentive and laissez-faire. I like being able to enjoy looking at things and touching things without feeling weird or feeling as though sales folks are going to vulture me. I felt welcomed and a part of the store, but not smothered. Also the staff was friendly with each other but did not ignore a single customer in their reach. I liked that balance.
