You've heard the saying, "One person's trash is another person's treasure." After refreshing and restyling my living and dining rooms, I found some less-loved items that someone else might enjoy. Knowing I planned another visit to the King of Prussia area, I brought my no longer loved items to the Neighborhood League Shops, a nonprofit in Wayne since 1912. This is my first time consigning. I learned that each drop-off is limited to 15 items, and no books are accepted. The ladies in the shop were very friendly. They explained the consignment process and accepted my two boxes containing less than 15 items. When shopping for preloved items, the quality and value of these older, well-made products are second to none. The Neighborhood League Shops offers an excellent selection of reasonably priced cut glass, crystal, sterling silver, etc.

The main floor has lots of cut glass and fine china pieces, jewelry and some art. A few lamps. Not a large space. Laid out well and clean. I headed to their basement, which had more everyday "home decor" items, some linens, small electrics, etc. I saw many lovely things, though nothing interesting enough to purchase. We then headed over to the Alley Door, which is around the corner. Despite it being almost noon in weekday, and a sign stating they open at 10, the store was dark and locked. Huh? We walk back to where we were and ask about this. They know nothing, they said, just that the cash box had not been collected. That's it. I imagine these stores are run by volunteers, and it's a good cause. I'm not sure I would make a special trip to shop there. When I'm in the area, I'd go again.

He sat on the floor for a little bit silently, and when everyone started looking at him, he started screaming and grabbing his foot, oddly making a weird noises of grumbling and screaming, then the Hobby lobby employee proceeded to tell my friend's mother to go get a wheelchair for the poor man then she asked him if he's OK and he says it's these dam crocs then he proceeds to get up and walk away and disappeared although 10 out of 10.

Decor is wonderful, changing rooms are the most beautiful changing rooms I've ever seen (I should get some pictures next time I'm in there, they're neat). Makes this place certainly a little hidden gem. I browsed for what feels like a pretty long time, but only ended up getting a candle cause I only meant to pop in to see what the store was all about. Me and my wife are kind of regulars at Rocky's Pizza (same shopping plaza) so we've seen it and wondered what was inside. Well now I know! Certainly blew me away. I already mentioned the decor, but the general displays are nice as well (I work in retail, I can't help but be impressed by that). I was the only person in the boutique, but luckily I wasn't hounded. There was one person working there--didn't catch her name but she had long black hair and a nice sense of style herself. In the past few years I've had meetings in Miami, Atlanta and Africa...AND I've managed to find something here to fit in in each of those environments. Don't write them off as a Preppy Main Line boutique that only caters to people with money - like that scene in Pretty Woman where no one wants to help Julia Roberts (SOME of the other stores close by have made me feel that way) . Even though I only hit up Skirtin' Around during their 50% off sales the women who work here are always super duper kind and helpful and make shopping fun.

I recently visited KOP and while I used view it as heavenly place, it's crowds feel like riptides. This Ann Taylor Loft is part of a strip mall in Paoli, which is a perfect alternative to a busy mall. The sales associates are always helpful and will grab alternate sizes if you need them. The lighting in the fitting rooms is great. The Loft makes pants that hug my curves just right. They're also petite sizes for my stunted height. As does the ridiculous amounts of sales I've come across lately. On my most recent shopping excursion, I purchased a pair of pants for $4.94 (originally $69) and a skirt for $20 (originally $79.50). All in all, this makes me a happy camper. **Signing up for this companies incessant e-mails can feel annoying but paired with this store location, the discounts can seriously work out in your favor!**
