Wow... I thought they were closing? That's what the signs said. Big sale since March or even…read moreearlier saying they were closing and "ALL MUST GO." Then for a month it was the "FINAL DAYS." Then it was the "LAST DAY" (...for 2 days). The whole promotional scheme lasted into August. Upon a return visit in September I see instead of it being "Mahogany & More," now it's "MM Furniture." Same location. Same phone number on the signs. Same style of signs. Same cars in the parking lot (which tells me it's the same workers). It looks like the same truck that the big banner is on too. Plus, very similar writing in the "About Us" sections of the mahoganyandmore.com website and the mmfurniture.com website. Hmm... People were guessing they would merely change the name, and it appears that's what happened. I'm not going to research it further, but I'm feeling about 98% certain this was a store re-branding and not a store closing, as was advertised for months. Kind of silly. The lesson? The next time you see a furniture store advertising that their store is closing, be skeptical.

We ordered a custom sofa from Sheffield with COM fabric. All dimensions of the sofa were clearly…read moredelineated on the order form, carefully reviewed by Sheffield, and signed off by Sheffield and us. The sofa was delivered with the correct fabric and looked good. However, we later realized that the chaise portion of the sofa was 3 inches narrower than specified on the order form. Instead of being 39" wide (interior) it is 36" wide. Sheffield has refused to do anything to make the order match what was specified, what they agreed to, and what we paid for. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.

Never had any issues buying floor from them and they tell you before you purchase if they are back ordered or out of stock. Never again will I even consider buying from them. Horrible.

$25,000... for TWO Christmas Trees?!…read more I don't normally blast a business on social media, but this one... this one deserves it. And honestly, I need to vent before my head explodes like an overinflated ornament. As many of you know, my wife and I recently moved into a big, beautiful new home. So, wanting to do something special for her first Christmas in it, I decided to surprise her by having the inside professionally decorated for the holidays. The plan was simple: we'd walk up to the front door after our Thanksgiving cruise, she'd see a single elegant wreath, open the door, and BAM--Christmas magic. Hallmark-movie level brilliance. Something she'd remember forever. Well... she'll remember it. Not in a good way. I found a company online called Black Eyed Susan in Doylestown. I spoke with Susan herself -- and in hindsight, the red flags were waving like a parade. But I ignored them, gave her a $25,000 budget, sent photos of the house, arranged access while we were away, and paid a deposit. Fast-forward to the big reveal. We pull up to the house, and instead of holiday wonder... We're greeted by two massive flower pots tipped over on the front steps. Dirt everywhere. My wife is already annoyed. We spend 10 minutes trying to lift the things before realizing the bottoms are ROUND. Not flat. ROUND. Who even designs pots that way? The answer: someone selling overpriced junk. But hey, maybe the inside would redeem things... right? Spoiler alert: it didn't. We open the door expecting Christmas brilliance, and instead--we get... A Christmas tree in the foyer. Just one. And not even a remarkable one. Literally just... a tree. And some droopy, wilted green garland that looked like it had fought a battle with a weed whacker and lost. That's it. For the whole entryway. We turn the corner into the family room, and there's another Christmas tree -- this one comically oversized, like it was trying to escape from a shopping mall. A few random glass balls dangled from the upstairs walkway. Four windows got lonely ornaments. And the mantle -- which on Susan's website looks glamorous and luxurious -- had the saddest strand of wilted garland you've ever seen. I've seen more impressive greenery at Home Depot in JULY. So for $25,000, what did we actually get? Two Christmas trees and some wilted greenery. That's it. That's the whole list. After a few days of trying to reason with Susan the Snob -- who, by the way, speaks to customers like she's hand-selecting decor for the Queen of England -- I realized something: My wife was supposed to get a Hallmark Christmas. Instead, I accidentally hired the villain of the movie. I even tried to be MORE than fair. I told her she could take everything back and keep $10,000 just for her "time." But nope. Susan the Snob decided she wants ANOTHER $5,000 from me. $5,000. For... what exactly? The dirt on my porch? Feel free to tell her what you think of that idea. And finally -- if anyone wants two giant, overbearing Christmas trees for next year... come get them. Free of charge. Because we will NEVER be using them again.

I now needed a dishwasher and thought it's Memorial Day let me try Lowes again Well they didn't honor the veteran discount they used to give! It also was on Memorial Day and my husband is a veteran, my husband and I were shocked! We bought the dishwasher anyway! Well delivery day came and the dishwasher was put in The installer left and I went to work Here the dishwasher was leaking all day long Leaked into my kitchen and then down to my basement! The only way to stop it was to go to the circuit breaker I went to my basement and realized that too was soaked and much damage was done! Ruined my sofa Ruined my desk and computer as these items are beneath the dishwasher in my basement. When I got home from work at 7:00 I was exited to go use my dishwasher and to my demise I slid across the kitchen floor onto my booty from the water that was running all day long!!! I called Lowe's sad and upset as anyone would be and the assistant manager said he had a bad day and didn't need to deal with this and hung up on me!! I then called back and got a nice man names Sam who was helpful and cared! He said they would bring me a new dishwasher tomorrow Well tomorrow came and a service company came to take the dishwasher without a new one and also said he couldn't remove it because it is installed! An absolute disaster to say the least So I still have no dishwasher and a soaked sofa with a sad boy with no computer! All while Lowe's is doing nothing I don't know what happened to their service! Such a disappointment and unnecessary waste of time and energy. I like to give the benefit of the doubt but this is every time I get an appliance from them! Do not use Lowe's Support a mom and pop shop!

Install vendor and the store didn't coordinate. Probably had to call them 10 times to follow up on various issues. Must have talked to every manager to try to get things straight. Never did get everything but GAVE UP. SOOO frustrating! Love the end result of the closets that WERE installed, but many apologies from staff and a $250 gift card just doesn't make up for the hassle.

Had to wait in line at 11am, no big deal. It just was unnecessary because the girl literally cleaned the counter and everything between every single guest. It's silly because my item didn't even touch the counter I handed it right to her and she had so much protective gear on . I just think if it ever were to get busier than the 4 people in line on a week day at 11am, I don't know how they'd handle it. It should be the customer's choice. Regardless. There was tons of staff in store all stocking, none asked for help. Which is fine by me, but I know that deters people sometimes so it's worth mentioning. All in all my one and only experience with container store is okay.
