I use to get their catalogues all the time and loved flipping through them for design inspiration…read more I made my first visit to their store a few weeks ago before the Christmas rush. First off, loved the welcoming entrance. The wide doorway was literally spilling onto the mall sidewalk with eye catching displays. Once inside however, I felt a little overwhelmed but in a good way. There was just so much to look at it, so much to take in. Ballard's is really a designers dream for home accents. And speaking of design, I know they have free design services because their workspace is in the middle of the floor but not one associate sitting there offered that assistance to me or my friend as we wandered through. In all it's still a good place to find some cool home decór.

After months of waiting, I was informed in November that the delivery would be delayed until mid-November. It is now December 1, and the order STILL has not shipped. When I requested to cancel the order due to these repeated delays, I was told that custom orders cannot be canceled and that delivery dates are merely "estimates." This policy is unreasonable--how can a company take my money, fail to deliver within a reasonable timeframe, and refuse to offer a refund? At this point, I have lost all confidence in Ballard Designs' ability to fulfill my order, let alone provide reliable service. The lack of communication, failure to meet deadlines, and rigid cancellation policy make this one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Ballard Designs, your customers deserve better than empty promises and endless delays. I will not be ordering from this company again and urge anyone considering their products to look elsewhere unless you want to risk waiting indefinitely for your items.

He immediately showed me a couch just in, explained its background, gave dimensions and specs on the mattress, and said that this sofa is one of the best sleepers the store typically receives. I appreciated the context. I thought about it for two days, then called in and ordered it over the phone on the spot. I worked with their delivery partners that day to deliver it. The sofa was significantly less than similar three-seat sleepers at retail price. When I had the couch fully situated in my apartment - I saw it was the perfect color and size for the space!
