We've gotten most of our furniture from here to fill our new home - custom dining table, custom pine console tables, swivel chairs, pillows, artwork, dining chandelier, and a dresser. AAAAGH I want to give it 10 stars!!! Vintage home moved a couple of doors down to a much larger location, and their selection is AMAZING! If you are furnishing your shore house (as I am) or going for the cottage/shabby chic look, this is the place in the 'burbs. The prices at Vintage home are so reasonable. They (the three ladies that own it) buy quality "vintage" stuff - not necessarily antiques, but think stuff from the '40s-'60s, and paint them white. I bought an incredible oversized carved mirror and it was only $200, a good sized antique french style linen press for $400, and a pair of french style bedside tables for $300. All are solid wood and very good quality pieces. For the price, it's not even worth hunting and hunting for decent quality furniture at yard sales, etc and then painting it yourself. These ladies have done all the work for you. Their prices are so low that they don't negotiate - and the stuff flies out of the store. They won't hold anything over the weekend since there is such turnover of their inventory, so if you see something you want, buy it. Have your measurements in hand because if you go home to measure someone else will scoop it up (as I did with the linen press. ;-) ) If you are looking for something in particular, you can give your name and they'll do the hunting for you. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about the quality customer service this store offered me and my family. I'll admit, at the beginning of our issue (which I'll explain below), I read all the negative reviews here and thought, "oh crap, we are so screwed," but Vintage Home definitely deserves a lot of credit for the way they treated us. I hope someone takes the time to read this positive review (not just the negative ones, as we are all inclined to do) and gives them a fair chance. My mom purchased a natural wood bar cabinet here for her second home in Florida, which she absolutely loves. The piece was super unique and functional, we had never seen anything like it. About a year after she received the cabinet, she started noticing sawdust piles on the shelves and surrounding floor. We did a little research and determined that the cabinet was infested with powderpost beetles that were eating the wood. Powderpost beetles can infest raw, untreated wood at lumber yards, and it can take a year or more for their larva to mature into bugs and be noticeable. My mom called Vintage Home and alerted them, and they told us to monitor the situation to see if it worsened. My mom was not down in Florida for several months after that, and when she returned, the problem was much, much worse. The cabinet had visible holes from the bugs and was essentially ruined. We were so bummed!! It had now been almost two years (!!!) since she purchased the piece (which was not cheap) and we were worried that Vintage Home would not be able or willing to help. I called Vintage Home on my mom's behalf, reminded them of the situation, and told them I understood the bug issue was the manufacturer's fault, not their own. I sent photos of the damage so they could see for themselves. They were so kind to me, and worked with the manufacturer to secure a replacement cabinet for us as soon as possible. They even shipped the new cabinet white glove to my mom's house in Florida (even though the first one had been purchased in Paoli, and driven down by us) and took the damaged one away at no charge. All of this was zero cost to us, and zero gain on their part - but we were still treated like a priority. Truly, I am baffled by the poor reviews here. I urge everyone purchasing the natural or raw wood items to buy them with your eyes open. To get that beautiful natural wood look, these items are often not sealed with poly products, and are susceptible to watermarks, stains, etc if you aren't careful. If you can't live with furniture like that, seal it on your own! Waxing furniture with white wax is really easy to do, and helps protect it. We own two other pieces of natural wood furniture from here (dining table, entertainment console, both not really sealed) and have never had any issues with beetles or quality in those. Yes, our dining table has water rings and food stains. That's life, and that's our own fault!! Please ask the sales people how durable the finishes are before you take them home. read more

I can't say enough about this place! It has a great inventory of furniture and accessories. The prices are fair and you can find a lot of great deals most of the time. The staff is friendly and is always willing to help you in anyway that they can. They are willing and able to paint furniture, and make sure you love it before you take it home. They are great about pick up and delivery. They also offer a wide variety of upholstered chairs, sofas and chaises. If you special order anything they are great about communicating with the customer throughout the process. I highly recommend this store for all of your home furniture needs! read more

As a follow up to my review... My chairs FINALLY arrived on January 2nd, 4 months after having ordered them. I only paid for one chair and was not going to pay or take the other. My husband picked up the chair, got it home and there was a tear on the bottom. My husband contacted the owners and took back the chair. They still had the other one that I ordered and never paid for. The owner "could not imagine" how the tear occurred and before leaving the store with the replacement chair took a bunch of pictures. I can only assume she felt we were going to take it home and do some type of harm to it :) I reiterate my initial warning of BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I am continuing to share my experience with anyone and everyone I run into. read more

This store has many adorable items and nice furniture. We have two pieces from here. We bought a table and a few days later it developed a huge crack. A few weeks later when I was in the store I mentioned it to an employee but didn't really expect a response since she insinuated that they have a no return policy. A few days later the owners emailed me and offered me a new table without me even asking. The new table came a few weeks later- brought right to my house with an even better finish on top that they had applied for me. I will definitely be back! I feel confident now that if I have any issues in the future they will be addressed. read more

I'm not sure if these reviewers are friends of the owners or not. I have been in this store many times and not once did I experience friendly staff. Most times there is one person at the counter working on the computer that totally ignores you. Granted, the inventory is gorgeous! No doubt, but many thing sold here I have seen in home good or TJMaxx and they buy it and stage it and mark it up four times what they bought it for. I have the same exact chairs from home goods they have in their shop right not that I paid 69$ piece for and they are selling four of them for 1100$! No, I didn't accidently add an extra zero in there. I would not recommend this store to anyone. There are plenty of others out there with just as nice inventory where you don't get snubbed if you don't walk in looking lone you have money! read more

I had high hopes visiting Vintage Home. All were quickly dashed. There were about three people working in the store (one unpacking a box and two behind the counter). They were all conversing with each other and laughing. I passed by them multiple times and was the only customer in the store. Not only did none of them make a peep of a hello, not one of them even looked at me! I was in shock since most stores in this day and age give some sort of greeting and/or acknowledge seeing a potential customer. My feelings about the store continued to drop as I walked around. Some of the merchandise is interesting and different. All of it is overpriced. I could not believe the prices on the tags. I walked through once and got out of there before the ice created by a colder than chilly reception cracked. I, too, wonder about the rave reviews and see no reason to ever enter this store again. read more

Over the past couple years, I have bought smaller items at the store. I love going in to see what they have. Recently, I went in with my teenage daughter to look for a dresser/armoire to replace her dresser that had drawers big enough only for baby clothes. We both fell in love with an armoire that Leslie fixed up and painted. Very unique. It was a big piece and I wasn't sure it was going to make it up to the third floor of our older home. Leslie and Margie were wonderful working with me to make it all work. The delivery company they recommend was also great to work! You will find more unique and better made pieces than Pottery Barn and at better prices! read more

Stopped by Vintage Home last week and was wowed by the selection of furniture, lighting and accessories. The prices are amazing. I was looking for an unfinished sideboard for my kitchen and found it hard to make a decision among several pieces. I worked with both of the owners Margie and Leslie and they were so helpful. Some of the furniture is locally made and one of the imported lines uses all sustainable wood and is using environmentally favorable standards in their furniture production. They offered to deliver the piece to my home and Leslie is coming back to help me finish my family room as well. They now sell area rugs, pillows and have really beautiful accessories. I'm so glad I will finally have a finished room. I read some of the other reviews here. Doesn't seem like they went to the same Vintage Home. I would recommend it as a great shopping experience. read more

Bought a piece here. Came broken. Owner said they'd reimburse us for cost to fix. When I called with the total...a whopping $90 repair bill (on a $800+ piece of furniture) the owner offered me a $45 store credit. I pushed back and she got nasty...but her best quote was, "if you want quality furniture, maybe you should go somewhere else"....that in itself was worth the laugh and the $90. Do not buy furniture here. Stuff is not great quality and when (not if) if breaks...you will be left with a hollow store credit offer. read more

I visited this store Thursday when I was Passing thru PAOLI the items in the front window caught my eye. Their merchandise is beautiful and staged well if you like French decorating or the distressed look. Which I do. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The prices to me were reasonable. If I tried to buy the same thing in the Lehigh Valley it would cost more. Maybe somewhere else less. It depends on your taste, and your budget. read more

Went to Vintage Home for the first time today... My anticipation was crushed by inexistent customer service. The ladies at the register were not to be bothered and were talking behind customers' backs. That's too bad because the store itself is not bad but I work hard for my money and it is not to spend it on people who really don't care about their customers. It's not that you cannot find the same things somewhere else. I saw quite a few items from Wayfair and the likes. I was planning on getting an item I liked but once I heard they were saying mean things, that was it for me. The experience was like taking a cold shower in the middle of the winter!! read more

Terrible customer service. I bought a dining room table ( over $1000). When I got it home , I realized the top really didn't match the base. The base was lacquered ( as I was told). The top was not. I was putting a piece of glass on top so I decided to live with it. 3 weeks later , some water got spilled and seeped between top and glass and left a mark. I called looking for advice and asked the owner to come take a look. She refused. Refused to help , left me a downright rude email. Told me to sand and wax it !! I just had the worst customer experience at Vintage Home! I frequently shop at this store and loved it so much that I always tended to bring a friend or relative with me. I am all for supporting local business and try to do so when the chance arises. Not to mention I really liked the owner of the store, she had always been very friendly with me. However today, I had the worst experience at Vintage Home in which I will no longer shop their or speak highly of. I stopped at the store this afternoon and instantly fell in love with a piece in the front window. I didn't see anyone else that was working there except for the owner who was busy helping a customer at the counter. So I waited patiently and respectfully for her to finish before I could ask her a question about the piece. There was a few drawers that didn't pull out and I wanted to make sure that they could be fixed. In addition I also liked the garland on top and a few of the candle holders so I was inquiring about price. In the meantime a lady came in the door about 15 minutes behind me. She walked past the piece as I stood waiting for the owner. When the owner finished up I said out loud to her I was interested in buying this piece but wanted to make sure the drawers could be fixed as well as the price on the garland. As we were talking about the piece another co-worker said the piece was just sold. That lady said really snotty "sorry." I was in shock so for once I didn't say something. I had never experienced that and honestly I thought it was the managers and co-workers responsibility to ask if I was buying the piece prior to just shouting out it was sold. I left the store very upset. I decided to call on my way home to let them know that was very unprofessional and that could have been handled better on there part. The owner wasn't sure how to handle the situation, that was apparent. Hopefully nobody else has to experience what I did today. In the end they lost a loyal customer. read more

I really want to like this place and give a higher rating but my experience over time prevents it. Watch out for reproduction items that can otherwise be found at HomeGoods or Wayfair, etc. (exact items) but Vintage Home buys them and greatly marks them up. Inconsistent service: some friendly and some oddly indifferent staff plus owner seems very chilly. I once had a pewter display pot rack put on hold for me to purchase once the seasonal display was to come down (my info was taken down and a note placed on the item itself), only to be told it was not available after I waited two months and bypassed buying other options elsewhere. When I discovered it was taken down and "gone", no explanation or apology given; only complete indifference. That being said, they do get some interesting original pieces that are affordably priced; these move quickly so act fast if you see something original that you like. Just modify your expectations on attitudes/service, and avoid the cheap reproductions (search elsewhere online and you can locate them)... read more
