    4/13/24 Home decorations

4/13/24 I had never been here and it was recommended as an interesting place to go. The parking lot of the shopping center wasn't busy at all and we score front row parking w ease. I like seeing I'm the interesting home decorations. Some things seemed semi reasonable other things very expensive. They did have a great clearance Easter area when we visited and there were some great deals. My favorite part of the store was the international food area. These are non perishable items similar to Marshall's and Home Goods. I liked all the variety and packaging. It would be a great store to fill a gift basket. Also a fun place if you're feeling a little adventurous. They even carry drinks. The cashier was very friendly and there was no line. I would be inclined to go here again if I was back in the area. The store is clean and organized too.

Fun store to browse. Things are expensive if you go to other places that sell these things but otherwise it is nice to see everything organized and viewable all in one store. Foreign chocolate and other foods from various countries. What is not to love besides the price? The staff member who served me here was friendly although they had a coffee and tea sampling. I wanted to try the coffee too but since it was removed about 45 min before closing, I ended up definitely avoiding buying the tea or coffee potentially. I got foreign kit kats variety (variety is so so), two Portuguese cans, guava juice, passion fruit juice, and a Hibiscus cold pineapple lychee drink. Portugal is known for their cod and squid in a can sounded a bit different. I did like it slightly more than the fish I have had from a can for other cans, but feel the whole fish in a can thing, while cultural apparently, is a bit overly hyped in my opinion too. I don't come to this area often. So tried to get what I could etc. I would recommend only coming in-person to purchase items as too many people have encountered problems with delivery and ordering ahead of time etc.

Part of our haul on the latest shopping trip to World Markets

Are you in need of a dopamine rush? Step into World Market where you will find items from every corner of the world! Freeze dried Miso soup from Korea, Clearly Canadian premium sparkling water from Canada, Spaetzle from Germany, different types of pasta from Italy, this place has it ALL!!! My girlfriend and I went to World Market today as they had a find the unicorn scavenger hunt today. If you find one of the four golden unicorn cards spread throughout the store, they will give you a prize up to $100 worth of credit to use in the store. The clue today was, "Golden unicorn, where may you be?" Near a thing that starts with "T". We did not find one of the golden unicorn cards but still had a great time perusing all the unique items in the store. Our haul today included : Hazelnut creme filled puff pastries from Italy, Gluten free marshmallows, Mustard BBQ flavored beef jerky, Australian licorice, among a few other items. How cool is it though to go into a store and come out with a new item each time?! From a different county mind you! I love coming here and I highly recommend you check out World Markets if you have not been here before. As always people SYOY!!!

    Lots of interesting stuff

I first visited World Market in DC. Really like shopping there. Happy to find this local version that has most of the same items with the exception that the D.C. Store has an extensive wine and beer selection. This store has a nice selection of China and glass and also an area with gourmet food selections that are difficult to find elsewhere. For example chocolate covered marzipan which I really like. Thy also have olive oils and vinegars at reasonable prices. Cookies and jelly from all over the world will tempt you. This store also sells furniture and rugs also reasonably priced. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Finally, I scored some excellent delicious chocolate covered pecans that were on deep discount for .30 a bag. Can not go wrong there. Will be back for sure.

The sofa was delivered with the correct fabric and looked good. However, we later realized that the chaise portion of the sofa was 3 inches narrower than specified on the order form. Instead of being 39" wide (interior) it is 36" wide. Sheffield has refused to do anything to make the order match what was specified, what they agreed to, and what we paid for. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.

We purchased the Modular One set from Raymour & Flanigan (North Wales location) on June 8, 2025,…read moreand had it delivered June 11. We needed something larger for our growing family, and while we considered a custom set, we went with the Modular One since it was available right away. Unfortunately, I regret this decision. Within just a few weeks, one of the buttons on the back popped off. To Raymour's credit, the service team came quickly, and the repair was done on July 15. But that repair didn't last, and soon after we noticed additional problems: unusual fabric wear and cushions that stayed indented for hours after anyone sat down. This is not what you expect from "new" furniture, especially after less than 3 months of use. On September 11, I called to speak with a store manager but was transferred to a customer experience rep who opened a claim. The next day I was asked for photos. I followed up by phone, only to be told by a repair department rep that the damage was "normal wear" because the set is chenille. I find that very hard to accept--how can "normal wear" make a sofa look worn out in just a few months? Furniture should last years, not weeks. I also purchased a 5-year Platinum Protection Plan, which makes it even more frustrating. If the sofa is already breaking down before the protection plan is even relevant, how long is it really supposed to last? I asked to return the set and put the money toward something of higher quality, but was told no one in the repair department could authorize that. I was directed to the showroom manager, left my name and number, and am still waiting for a callback. Overall, this has been a hugely disappointing experience. The Modular One is not good quality, and I would strongly caution others against investing in this set. If furniture doesn't hold up for even 3 months, how can you trust it to last 5 years? I sincerely hope Raymour & Flanigan stands by their products and allows me to exchange this for a set that will actually last.

I heard back from customer service with an offer that would require me to pay significant $ to replace the inferior quality furniture which is less than 2 years old. and I will add that it's inky me and a 15lb dog. I declined the offer but still have a platinum service contract for another 3 years. I filed a claim to have another repair and now they are requiring me to provide a picture of the missing button and a picture of the sofa! I guess that's their way of dealing with issues.

I love stores like Home Sense. It is a great place to browse and get great ideas for your home…read more This Home Sense is located in North Wales just off of 309 in the Airport Square shopping center. To be honest, it looks like a knock-off version of Home Goods. They carry very similar items. If you see something you like, you better get it than because their stock changes all the time. They carry nice lamps, chairs, pictures, things for the kitchen, flowers etc. The prices are pretty reasonable, too. If you are looking to shop on a budget, Home Sense is a great place to shop.

This is definitely the spot if you're looking for larger items - lighting, furniture, rugs - these bigger items are more readily available in comparison to TjMaxx and Homegoods and Marshall's. This time I went and their holiday section was amazing, the artwork was very lacking but we did manage to pick up an ottoman which was really nice and a fair price! They had one employee at the door and she was a sweetheart but my cashier was a young girl who was very abrasive. She was not at all friendly and got very short with me because I could not hear her and was frustrated with me because of that and because I guess I was using an award that wasn't scanning which meant she had to do more work. She wasn't very nice. I'll still be back especially if I need furniture - I just hope the employees will all be more friendly.
