World Market is somewhat like a home goods except you can get items like candles, throw pillows, picture frames, furniture and of course food items from all over the world! When I arrived, I noticed thier was plenty of parking as I entered the store, I was greeted by a friendly store attendant. I noticed all the creative furniture but what caught my eye was the international snacks! I like how each item had the location of where the food orignated. They had crazy flavor chips. I ended up buying the garlic butter steak dorritos and fried crab lays I believe from Japan. I also got some olive oil from Italy. I spent over an hour in that store and probably could have been there longer if the store wasn't closing. I have email to follow up several times in still have not heard from anyone. On Friday I reached out to Christy at the corporate offices and left a voicemail. She never called back either. "It will take 7-10 days", this is their standard bull**** explanation. July goes by, August, Septembe, October... it had been so long we kind of forgot about it. We began calling, emailing customer service back in November. Numerous calls, emails, nothing. I finally reached out to them on 1/4 on Twitter and asked where the refund was. Again, this isn't $5-10, this was almost $200. They researched and said it would be refunded in 7-10 (that's their favorite numbers) days. No expediting, no we will fedex it to you because we F'd up and would like to keep your business, nope... We will send it snail mail. 2 weeks later it's still not here. Oh, when I asked about them doing something to compensate for their mistake they sent me a 25% off coupon that can't be used on 90% of stuff in the store. Customer service for these clowns must be run by Mrs. Lippy's 3rd Grade History class. Why do we have to do so much legwork to get you to fix something you totally screwed up?? Unless you hate yourself, don't shop here.

But still associates stood around just watching the lines. I finally said, "can you open another register?" She said she was not allowed unless her manager said she could. They have a abundance of floral decor, home decor, fabrics, party supplies, xmas decorations, toys, etc. Definitely a one stop shop for gift giving! Unfortunately…read morethough, the items that the Dollar Tree would carry are much less expensive at Dollar Tree, and the items you'd find at Walmart are cheaper at Walmart. So, sure the stuff's all under one roof, but that's about it. I went looking for a cheap recliner, and found a few, but after asking an associate about delivery, I was told that their delivery is basically them giving you a phone number. The cost (she thinks) is about $100, and you work out all of the arrangements with the delivery people. This, to me, is like being shown a pile of lumber, and being told it'll be a really nice house, once you get it all on site and put it together. No thanks. To summarize: In my opinion, there's absolutely no good reason to visit Big Lots, as other stores provide more for less.
