Wow... I thought they were closing? That's what the signs said. Big sale since March or even…read moreearlier saying they were closing and "ALL MUST GO." Then for a month it was the "FINAL DAYS." Then it was the "LAST DAY" (...for 2 days). The whole promotional scheme lasted into August. Upon a return visit in September I see instead of it being "Mahogany & More," now it's "MM Furniture." Same location. Same phone number on the signs. Same style of signs. Same cars in the parking lot (which tells me it's the same workers). It looks like the same truck that the big banner is on too. Plus, very similar writing in the "About Us" sections of the mahoganyandmore.com website and the mmfurniture.com website. Hmm... People were guessing they would merely change the name, and it appears that's what happened. I'm not going to research it further, but I'm feeling about 98% certain this was a store re-branding and not a store closing, as was advertised for months. Kind of silly. The lesson? The next time you see a furniture store advertising that their store is closing, be skeptical.

All of the vignettes were well put together and the variety of furniture styles and looks was inspiring. Upstairs was even more inspiring. We ordered a custom sofa from Sheffield with COM fabric. All dimensions of the sofa were clearly…read moredelineated on the order form, carefully reviewed by Sheffield, and signed off by Sheffield and us. The sofa was delivered with the correct fabric and looked good. However, we later realized that the chaise portion of the sofa was 3 inches narrower than specified on the order form. Instead of being 39" wide (interior) it is 36" wide. Sheffield has refused to do anything to make the order match what was specified, what they agreed to, and what we paid for. They claim that being 3" narrower is "within spec" and maybe a result of the fabric pulling it narrower. The fabric!?! Pulling a wooden frame in 3"?!? An absurb dodge to avoid their cost to rebuild the sofa as specified. Sheffield did not stand behind the contract that they signed to deliver quality furniture.

I have been waiting for the opening of this super modern furniture store after months of watching…read morethe build out take place. It was finally unveiled this morning. They are still putting the finishing touches on the showroom but from what I saw peering through the glass is a sleek, hip and inviting space. Platform beds, deep sectionals, upholstered dining chairs, bold primary colors and wood accents were just some of the things I could see from the front. We ordered a couch over Presidents Day weekend specifically to take advantage of their promotional Visa gift card. We placed the order on Monday with a scheduled Thursday delivery, based on their advertised 3-day in-stock guarantee. Thursday morning at 7:30 AM, we get a call saying only 2/3 of the couch had arrived. We were given the option to accept a partial delivery or reschedule, so we pushed it to Monday to receive everything at once. Monday got delayed due to snow -- understandable -- so we moved to Tuesday. Then Tuesday came... and once again, only 2/3 of the couch was delivered, with no notice. The missing piece -- the entire reason we rescheduled in the first place -- still wasn't there. We didn't receive the final piece until the following Monday, a full TWO WEEKS after ordering something that was supposedly in stock with a 3-day guarantee. When we reached out to discuss the situation, we also asked about the promotional Visa gift card. Instead of resolving anything, Michelle Knight spent an entire month going back and forth over email, giving conflicting information, claiming she was speaking with a manager, offering a delivery fee refund but trying to substitute the Visa gift card with a store-only card, and repeatedly saying she was "checking" or "out of the office." There was no real progress -- just constant runaround. After a month of this, I finally got a manager on the phone -- who hadn't heard about this situation at all. At that point, it became clear we were being misled the entire time. If we hadn't escalated it ourselves, we'd likely still be stuck in that loop. This was incredibly disappointing. Between the failed delivery promises and the lack of honest customer service, this experience completely changed how we view Raymour & Flanigan. We just purchased a new home and have a lot to furnish -- and after this, we'll be taking all of our business elsewhere. I'm tired of companies that don't honor what they advertise and then argue with you every step of the way instead of making it right.

Finally, delivery was fast and professional. We bought a sectional and they even took time to make sure I was comfortable with how to connect and disconnect the different sections.
