Easiest 5-star I've ever given. This local game store is unbelievably cool…read more I've been here twice now -- both times, I've received deliberate and friendly offers for help from several workers. And when I share that I'm browsing, it becomes a simple "Just let us know if you need anything." Which I always appreciate. Beyond that, the volume, variety, types of items, and organization blows me away. They have it all here -- ended up with a book for me , a book for my kiddo, and some mystery gift for me (from my wife). I will be keeping an eye on the dice for whenever one catches my eye. The one negative is the impact to my bank account -- not because of it is expensive (everything is VERY fairly priced) but because of how much cool stuff there is and how welcoming it feels there. Their loyalty program is going to pay off very quickly and I am already excited to return again. Thank you all for running such an incredible game shop! So happy to be in Oly with this as my LGS.

There's a wide selection of comic books and mangas. I asked one of the workers if they had any vampirella comic books and he showed me where they were. the staff was very chill and helpful. I like how they have Indie , DC and Marvel Comics organized by shelves. I am definitely going to come by here soon.

This is by far my favorite card shop! They have a great selection of seal product, usually a better…read moreprice then other shops around. They also have single cards at all prices ranges. The staff are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. You can tell everyone there cares about the hobby and loves what they do! As a customer I can feel that each time I stop by looking for product or even just to share my hits with them! They hold tournaments and are truly a vital part of the TCG community. I can't say enough great things about them. If you have stop buy check them out. They are the best!!!

Especially in these days with card shortages everywhere, these guys have pulled through. They were still working on their online shop when I went in, but that's ok! My first time walking in I was greeted by the sports card workers, and they politely showed me the side for Pokémon. Amazing!! Boxes and boxes of stocked up ETB's, promo boxes, and tins. It was just like being a kid again! The places was bustling on a Saturday evening, and there were many kids in the shop buying things as well. After a sale, I couldn't help but notice the sales attendant threw in some extra cards in for free! As well as for me once I told them it was my first time coming in! After some recommendations for a new collector, I walked out with a Celebrations ETB (Very hard to find for a decent price nowadays!) and a couple free card storage boxes as well. An amazing store, with an inviting atmosphere for new collectors and players alike!! Will highly recommend this store in the future!

When I first had occasion to go to Dugan's about three years ago, I was a bit perplexed at how long…read moreit seemed to take to be addressed and helped so I understand some of the other reviews I have read. But I want to look at this situation for a minute. Here was a local businessman and what a novelty it is to see THAT thrive in any economy, who gave his full undivided attention to his immediate customer's needs. I found it comforting. I suspected he wouldn't rush me through my inquiries and it afforded me an opportunity to look and listen and determine if this was a fair person. I said earlier he took care of his immediate customer's needs. Some times I didn't see a customer and would still wait for a few, but I came to realize he was wrapping up loose ends. Being detail oriented in the card business is essential. Pat and his small but well-informed staff have never let me down. We so often want that hometown feeling and touch of personal care, well, it doesn't get better than Dugan's. Being treated like family means you might have to share time, but hey, you can look around and cultivate your hobby while you consider how you can honor a situation that strives to respect every single customer and not rush them along like a simple, useless transaction.

I was in town today and decided to check for sports card shops. I inherited a collection of about…read more30,000 cards a few years back and although it sounds impressive, I'd say out of the 30,000 cards, only about 3,000 have value and the average value is about $2, so nobody is quitting their day job. In Seattle, we got a place called DJ's, and those guys are great, friendly, helpful and an impressive selection of anything you would want or need related to the trading card hobby. Never having been here before I read the reviews and people talked about rude and cold behavior, but the overall score of 3.5 was enough for me to pop in. The card selection here was really small, had this been the first card store I ever visited, I doubt I would have visited another. That said, I was the only person in the section and a couple people looked at me, even walked by me multiple times, but no one ever spoke, welcomed me in or offered to explain the layout. After browsing for about 10 minutes, I found some interesting cards in a consignment area My experience with consignment is it's items owned by a private seller, but sold by the business for a commission. When I asked about prices since nothing was marked, I was told the items are for auction and I needed to register to bid. 1) The guy had an attitude when I asked for help despite him doing nothing but twiddling him thumbs. 2) Is it consignment or auction. 3) You are killing your business, those items are not moving, which means they are taking up real estate. Your goal with any item, especially used is to sell it as fast as possible. Can you imagine cars sitting on a car lot for 30 days, then selling to the highest bid. You may have been able to sell that car In a couple days instead of clogging your lot for a month. In addition, I asked some other questions and people working there were clueless. I'm sorry, if you work in a card shop or card counter, you need to be an expert. If I ask if you have a specific team or player, you shouldn't have to ask anyone else. Even if you are unsure, you should at a minimum be able to say, check this area, but then again, from what I saw, the store had no organization. I think 3.5 stars is generous, I have no reason to return here. The cards are probably about 25% maybe even 20% of the store, so they have other hobby items, but if you are headed here from sport related memorabilia, I'd say keep driving.
