I was looking for a place to take my daughter to work on the ceramic wheel because she has been…read moresuper interested in trying it out. She is 8 years old and so when I called around, one of the places I called recommended this place. They offer a "try out the wheel" class, as well as multiple classes. The try it out class is $60 ish and allows you to work with an instructor to make a bowl or a cup. Then once it dries, you can come and paint it. Sounded like a good deal. I really wanted to love this place and I think if you go for the painting of ceramics it would be fine, but I would not recommend this place for the classes, especially for kids. I took my daughter and my niece and like I said, it was their very first time. When we arrived, we were greeted by the lady who ended up being our instructor. She seemed kind of low key rude but didn't think too much about it. However, as the lesson progressed, she seemed kind of annoyed with the girls. She didn't yell or anything but her mannerisms and the way she spoke came off as what the girls said "rude" and my daughter said "I wanted to cry". Not really the experience I was hoping for them, especially since this was an early Christmas gift and I would hope they would have fun. Maybe it was just the instructor we got. When they were finished the instructor came out of the wheel room and rolled her eyes while passing the other ladies working. Like I said, I wanted to really like this place, and I think my opinion of it would be different had we only come in to paint ceramics. I recently did a wheel class somewhere else and as an adult I think this place would be fine but it isn't ideal for kids.

I came here with some friends for a much needed girls night out…read more Despite it being busy with two birthday parties they had no problem pushing two tables together so that we could all sit together while we painted. They have a lot of things to choose from and the prices are great!! (Pic is before the piece was fired....will update once I pick it up)

You can immediately tell that the owner puts extra care and intention into everything she offers. I had the chance to talk with her about some of the pieces and materials, and I really appreciated that many of the options are local -- always a big plus in my book. One detail that really stood out to me (and that I learned sets this studio apart from others in the area) is that she also finishes the bottoms of the pieces. That extra attention ensures everything fires properly in the kiln and helps the pieces last longer. It's such a thoughtful touch that shows how much pride she takes in her work. I also loved that all services are included in the pricing, so there are no surprise fees later on. That alone made the experience feel relaxed and stress-free. The selection is fantastic -- from small knickknacks to decorative wall pieces, to dishes like plates and mugs. I genuinely think anyone could find something here that fits their style. And best of all, you're not rushed at all. You could honestly spend the whole day there and no one would mind. While we were there, another woman came in with pottery she hadn't finished from a previous session. She set up with her tablet and headphones and worked quietly for a couple of hours -- it was really cool to see that flexibility. If you don't finish in one visit, you can pack up and come back later, which I love. Turnaround time was also impressive. From when we submitted our pieces to when we got them back, it was only about a week or two at most -- much quicker than I expected. And the results were beautiful. I'm so happy with how everything turned out and can't wait to come back again for another occasion. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a creative, welcoming, and thoughtfully run experience.

One trip we sat by the window and we were all boiling!!! On their Facebook/IG it always says come in and enjoy A/C but the employee told us it's always super hot by the windows, so no hope of a cool environment if you're in a big party. On another visit (with my 5yr old) it took them almost 50min to bring out her Italian soda. We basically took it to go at that point. I also feel like prices have gone up a lot. The average piece is around $50 or you can paint a ceramic animal for closer to $20. Overall I know I'll be back because the employees are great and getting to paint your own pottery is fun, but I wish the building/food experience was better! Still 4 stars, and watch their social media for deals!

When it's busy, the place can get awfully squishy so I'd recommend making a reservation during weekends and holiday seasons. They also have coffee and ice cream. Regardless of the season, they still push out the finished projects in the same time so we were there on a Sunday, our items were ready for pick up the next Monday. Once your seat is reserved, you walk in and pick your items to paint and a helper will bring it to your table. The paints are on the table and you need to find the number that matches the sample pallet, which is very helpful because it shows you what the paint will look like afterwards. You can write the numbers on the paper on your table to help remember what colors you're using as a helpful tip. There's many sizes of brushes and paint pens. Afterwards add your name on the bottom and take a picture of your work, that's how you claim it.

Most…read morestudios I've been to are in strip malls and they are busy, crowded, and you're lucky if you find a table. This one is different: set on a private property in a quiet neighborhood in South Seattle, it feels calm, personal, and connected. For those of us who live just south of the city, it's such a treat to have a space like this nearby. The event space itself is gorgeous, and perfect for groups. The owner took time to walk us through everything and even offered drinks (such a thoughtful touch). What really impressed me was the selection -- not just the usual imported pottery, but also pieces made by local artists. I chose a heart-shaped dish I'd never seen before, and it truly feels like I created something unique. Between the fun variety of pottery, multiple art mediums, easy parking, an on-site bathroom, and pricing that's better than the mall studios, this place is a gem. Highly recommend for both casual painters and anyone looking for a more elevated, memorable experience.
