Neatest and best stocked store in this area. Too bad the service does not match the appearance of the store. Apparently the store manager (female, dark hair, in black logo shirt) could not be bothered to come to the register to fix a coupon problem. The other 2 employees that had tried to help were very nice but did not have the "override " power to make the coupon code work. The poor shift leader on the floor called into her radio numerous times asking for assistance. After 5 minutes at the register waiting for the SM to show up, I paid full price and left as I had stopped in on my way to work. Too bad this promising new location that has it together on store presentation fell short on their service. With JoAnns going out of business, they are missing a great business boost with bad customer service. read more

I'm not a craft person, so I have to chuckle when I walk into a craft store. I had some time to kill and I was in the shopping center so I figured why not. This is a big store an they carry a lot of different products. Jewelry making supplies, yarn, t-shirts, the types of floral I need ( the ones you can't kill!), all types of paints and canvas and a decent selection of picture frames. As with everything these days, you could tell the store was in dire need of more inventory, but that will change too. I enjoyed walking the store, thinking of all the things I could make if I was just one of those "crafty" moms! I did find myself seriously thinking about buying a cricut machine and then realized, I'd probably only use it once! Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

this is a great place to get crafts of all kinds. I usually look for coupons to use as everyone does . You can get pretty much everything here that you need- games, frames , holiday type items, candy too! The only thing is that it is difficult to die people to help you here. I end up buying a lot of my art supplies here and they also have kids classes that you can take advantage of! They are a chain so they are everywhere! This Michaels is alright! I get a little lost inside here because it's not my traditional Michaels. They had everything I needed to make my Halloween costume- t shirts, fabric paint, poster board and more. Once I figured out where the departments were in this location, shopping was an absolute breeze. The lines inside were short. The cashier was super friendly, cracking jokes with everyone. It was a pretty great experience. I'm not a huge craft person, but if I needed something from a Michaels, I'd definitely come by this location before heading to another. Pros: they have almost every home-ec craft item you can think of, and more fake flowers than you thought even China could churn out! If there is an obscure craft/hobby item you cannot find anywhere else, they might have it. Cons: Holy Cow are they overpriced! Everything, and I mean everything, is at least 300% more expensive than the same item in any other store. They must build clientele just based on having so much varied stock, but they are even 2x the price of Hobby Lobby, which is already a bit over-priced! Their framing prices are just bizarre...I do not comprehend why anyone pays those prices. Fools and money... I do a lot of crafts and so Michaels is one of the stores I frequent the most. I was in the area trying out a new restaurant when I decided to stop by and get some chain for some jewelry making. Every Michael's store I have been to is different. This one is huge, it is located in Glades and Lyons rd in Boca. The first thing you see when you come in are the flower arrangement and the flower area to your right. Directly in front are your l promotional items or items to whatever holiday is coming up, in this case it was summer. And to your left are all the jewelry supplies. This is just the front of the store. This store is huge, towards the back is where they have framing, woodworking materials, yarn, paining, children's craft etc. The store seemed relatively neat, and it wasn't very busy even though he was right before Mother's Day. I was able to grab what I needed and be out the door within 10 minutes. And I spent nine of them to browse around and look around LOL. they are also other interesting shops in this shopping center like Saks off fifth and a couple of smaller boutiques. It is worth coming by and make a shopping trip of it. Nice store! read more

this Michael's actually impressed me. Most Joann's and Michaels stick too closely to arts and crafts, leaving artists actually high and dry. I was impressed by the selection of the paints/art materials offered. Some of he brands I only see in Blick.Now granted, the prices are not as good as Blick, you can still waive a 40% off coupon on some 150 color box of Prisma and that would whittle it down to 180 instead of the usual 300$. That's not bad. So I went in today to grab some cheap water colors since I am out of a couple of colors and my paintings were beginning to clash a smack of warm yellow in the background of cool colors. Again, very impressed by the selection. I saw a box of 48 acrylics, and the last time I had seen that was in Blick's art store. I've never seen a Michaels that offered more than 1 shelf of paint options. So from an artist standpoint, I am a big fan of this Michaels. It saves me a run to Fort Lauderdale to the main art store now that I can get what I need here! read more

I absolutely love this Michaels. I come here all the time. I spent $150 today - oops! They had great sales on spring items and on fun party items. I also bought some stuff to make my own terrariums - they have really cute glass bowls and wooden boxes to put the succulents in. My favorite part is there areas where they have $1-$3 items -- I can be there for hours searching through the entire store with all of this stuff. Great place for crafters :) read more

As a frequent customer of different locations, I hope some day I find a perfect Michaels, one with good organization, an ample amount of associates who can help out when needed, and friendly service. That would be the winning combo. Today wasn't quite that day. I circled around three times aimlessly looking for what I needed with no help. At least I spotted a wooden sign that I can use for a project totally unrelated. It stated it was 40% off. I went to pay and it wasn't ringing up as such, so I expressed my confusion. The cashier literally said nothing in return. She didn't offer to check, nor did she apologize. Luckily I found a 40% coupon online since they're usually available. My wife has a love/hate relationship with the store. She constantly nags me to go with her there and I constantly have to come up with excuses on why I don't. It's not a manly store, but it does have some cool stuff for men in there. I can't be seen buying yarn or some paint canvas but for my man cave they had some great vinyl record frames, showcases and I even got a piece of art framed there. Fair warning, they are notorious for jacking up their prices so there is ALWAYS going to be a sale. For example, if they say 50% off framing it just means they doubled their price and you're paying the normal rate. Their framing is NOT cheap but they do a good job. Unless you want to go the easy route and just buy a pre-cut frame then you're best option is to get it professionally done. Throw a mat on there and whatever you do, don't fall victim to that "UV glass" trick. Just get what you like and what you can afford. I went in there thinking I'd spend $150 on a framed item with the discount and came out spending $350. By the time the framing staff helps you there are so many add-ons you'd think you just bought a car. Truth be told, I'm very happy with the outcome and I made sure they priced matched any new coupon that released within that period. They honored it but make sure you ask. Buying a frame at 50% kinda blows when a week later they're offering 75% off. Remember, EVERYTHING for the most part is double so unless you're getting 40-50% off on an item it doesn't make much sense. Look online, on your smart phone Michaels app or in their weekly paper. You will find a coupon. As for me, besides the frame, I now have about a dozen vinyl record frames, two baseball bat showcases and a few 8x10 frames. Aisles are organized logically, the staff is friendly and helpful, and their products are cute and affordable. I always feel inspired to live a craftier life when I come here. Unfortunately, I usually end up spending more money on art supplies then intended to. Take advantage of the good sales (they often have 60% off sections), and coupons. Every time I've gone to this Michaels location, its miserable. Over priced tacky crafts and fake flowers are their specialty. Customer service on the other hand is not. They are rude, unhelpful, and sometimes down right nasty. At any given time they have maybe six or seven employees walking around and only one or two registers open. Two if you're lucky. Which leads to giant lines and pissed off people. Never an apology for their terrible service, sometimes not even a hello, goodbye, thanks for wasting your time and money... I really don't think I'll go back to this location again. It's somewhat messy and even though we don't shop here much, we get some things on rare and needed occasions. During the holiday, even if is a busy times, yet pandemic, they had an employee vomiting behind the registers. Visible to others. I understand she might be in charge there or can't take a day off, but one would hope this company pays sick days. It's disgusting if they treat their employees that way and yet it's gross for customers to see her vomiting early in the morning and while COVID was still at higher levels. Second of all, I got something online spent over $30 to find one part missing. I've returned to the store within hours of deliver, with receipt and a girl tells me "we will give you a store credit." I said; no and why? She said because we don't carry online item. I told her that is unacceptable and it has to returned to original form of payment. Besides that we even spent over $40-50 on kid birthday favors online that we will keep. I'll stick to Target. She was rude. She then placed my receipt on her side of the counter and did not even bother handing it to me and wanted to reach over to get it and made a face. I wish they would keep their Shelves stocked and the store clean. The brushes are never in the right place and they leave dirty and broken products on the shelf. I have seen some of the same broke or spilled products on the shelf for weeks which tells me they do not have someone telling them to go around the store an hour before closure and have them reface and clean up the aisles and then walk do a walk through before the employees leave. read more

If you knit, crochet or tat don't bother coming here. Yarn selection is horrible and they carry hardly any crochet cotton if any at all. I've come here on a bi-weekly basis as if believing good crochet cotton or even regular yarns would somehow materialize--I must be delusional. I will drive up to Jensen Beach to go to Hobby Lobby from now on, as well as let Hobby Lobby know how much they are needed down here. It will be a better use of my time & fuel. read more
