I brought a German factory fiddle to Michael for evaluation. He was very honest about the condition, which he said was very good and worth repairing. I did a web search for various people and some price lists for work. One place listed $450.00 for a fingerboard, mine was almost falling off. I decided to have the work done. It was finished in less than a week. Split seams and cracks repaired. Fingerboard and nut re glued and shaped. New bridge and sound post. New tailpiece and strings. Varnish touch up. Chin rest, hard case, bow and rosin. All this for less than a fingerboard from the other place. Michael was very personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic to deal with. It was the right choice for me. I will do all my business with him in the future. His inventory of instruments is large also, if you are looking to purchase one. read more
