We offer tutoring in most subjects from Middle School through College, with subject expertise ranging from 7th grade English to Advanced Quantum Mechanics. We specialize in SAT, ACT, and GRE exam preparation. The material from the class was clearly well-aligned with the requirements to pass the PMP exam, as I was able to pass on my first attempt, scoring above target in all five areas. I found both the discussions during class and the real-life examples used by the instructor (Allen Young) to be very helpful and engaging, Despite the overwhelming amount of material to be covered the time spent in class passed quickly. Finally, a shout out to PMA for the portal they provide access to as part of taking the class. It is loaded with relevant training materials, and I found the sample questions they have available particularly useful as I was preparing. They were a great asset to have at my disposal.

Then a boilerplate contract with errors I had to correct for him. $3000 payment over Venmo, but when I marked it as "goods and services" he tried to get me to resend it. All further communication and scheduling done over text. I went ahead and signed my daughter up without going to meet with him first. $3000. Big mistake. When we walked in the door for her first lesson I was shocked. The place was filthy. He was wearing dirty clothes. The place was dark, lit by candles and the air reeked of incense. It was nothing like the pictures on google, not even close. He prattled on about how great he is. He felt more like a used car dealer than a professional. My daughter was so uncomfortable she refused to go back. When I demanded a refund he went silent. He's probably just a guy who's down on his luck, but it felt more like a scam. Whatever you do, go meet him at the location before you send him any money. There's a reason he's not up in Boston or MetroWest competing with reputable tutoring services.

Anyway, went directly to Varsity Tutors. They called me back immediately, and they have good reviews. Then my daughter reminded me how we used Varsity before and they worked out well.
