They were super nice and instructions were clear. I loved it. I highly recommend everyone to make their classes with them.

Ignoring her and texting on your phone is not exceptable as well. Also first lesson stop daughter not comfortable with exclamation and Rose told her if she ruins her transmission we are paying for it. Ummmm NO!!!!! Thats your problem when your teaching people how to drive, you can't expect them to know right off the bat how to drive. That is what you are hired for. No where in your add does it say anyone is responsible for transmission or any other thing that goes wrong mechanically with your vehicle.there is no contract signed to make any liable. Paying ROSE for lessons is one thing, but paying her $170 to refresh her and take her for test and not pay attention to her is wrong, and to tell her to tell the dmv she is dyslexic when she is not. I guess Rose picks and chooses who she will be kind to. I will never recommend this driving school to anyone. Rose is not professional and I would not want anyone to have to deal with someone so ruin and inconsiderate to humans.

For my first lesson, after scheduling the lesson, they contacted me almost immediately afterwards and were very responsive. My second lesson they ghosted me and did not respond to any messages until I called them to find out that they had changed the instructor last minute and asked on the phone if it would be okay and did not even apologize, the woman I had quit and they never thought to tell me. I ended up just doing the lesson because they had literally told me as I was in the parking lot anyways. The instructor I had was very distracted, called me a bad driver, gave confusing directions, and watched Facebook reels at loud volume and turned on and up the radio during the lesson giving very little instruction. I ended up failing the test because I felt so unprepared and nervous. I ended up going to AAA driving school instead and passed! There was actually a meija driving school car ahead of me and they failed the test because they stopped the car after the stop sign instead of before.

My son felt rushed, the instructor raised his voice, my son got rattled and lost confidence. At the time my son only had about five hours of experience behind the wheel. The instructor then got lost on the way back, started cursing (using the f word- not at my son, just in general) because he couldn't get his phone to work for directions. He had my son pull over and then my son helped him fix the phone (it was on the Uber setting, not on the driving setting-is this instructor an Uber driver too?). When they arrived at my house I asked where they drove out of curiosity and because I wanted to have my son practice the same trip with me, and all he said was "route 1". Not quite accurate. They went to the parking lot of the DMV in Providence actually and took 95 to get there and back from Warwick. I wouldn't be writing this negative review if the manager of Drive Right hadn't been so rude when I questioned these things, making excuses for the instructor and then said there's no way that the instructor could have used the F word (because he's been with them too long-maybe he said damn but nothing more she claimed). Essentially, she was calling my son a liar. He had no reason to lie. He was ready and excited to learn. I'm really disappointed in this company, I would never recommend them just out of a question of safety (and now for rudeness as well). Out of respect for the instructor who has to make a living, I will not use his name here. He is an older man though and perhaps patience is not his strong suit and proper instructor etiquette (at least as I see it) is not his way. They said they would refund my money for the lesson due to my complaints, but they never did. I would never recommend to anyone but possibly they have better instructors on their roster.

I love that no matter whatever I want to make, Patti still encourages me, and seems truly delighted in my meager accomplishments. She is a true teacher, taking time to explain details again and again. She willingly shares details and knowledge from her lifetime of sewing, down to what kind of pin to use, to where to find the least expensive magnetic pincushion. Who knew? I've even learned how to make my own patterns! The atmosphere is always calm and focused, and I find it a welcome respite from my busy day to day life. Sewing has become a meditative practice for me now, which I look forward to every week. Patti is able to juggle every skill level in class, whether someone is just learning the bare bones basics, to the much more advanced. She's pretty well connected in the sewing world too, and hosts really interesting guest workshops. The studio is small and very tidy, with easy parking just outside the door. Classes are currently on a month to month basis, which is nice because it's not a huge commitment. I've seen students come for just a month, to get help on a specific project. Yep, she can do that too. And for the record, I've seen 2 men in class, everyone is welcome, West Side Sewing Studio is my little weekly getaway. I come home relaxed and focused, and I get to make cute stuff!
