More than talking to me, he listened to my concerns and asked questions. By asking the right questions, he eventually lead me to form my own opinion on how to handle various situations and to articulate why they should be handled in that way. Invariably, most of the anxiety I was feeling came from imagining what might happen versus living in reality. I was, without fail, able to resolve every anxiety creating situation in such a positive way that it's truly changed my life. I very rarely suffer the anxiety attacks or sleepless nights that were par for the course during much of my career. His guidance has also allowed me to create some great partnerships at work in a way that I've never been able to do before. I thought I loved my job before I met Chris. Now it's 100 times better!

I strongly advise future law school applicants to steer clear of this consulting service. My…read moreexperience was deeply disappointing and felt exploitative. I worked with Janeille Matthews, who was assigned as my "coach." During our virtual meeting, she refused to turn on her camera and was audibly eating while speaking, which came off as extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I paid over $1,000 for guidance, expecting thoughtful, constructive feedback on my personal statement and resume. Instead, I received vague, unhelpful comments that did nothing to improve my materials. At the time, I was young and uncertain about the law school process -- rather than being supportive, the approach felt condescending and demoralizing. If you're seeking help with your law school application, I recommend avoiding this service. Instead, look into reputable LSAT prep companies or local writing tutors who are invested in your success. They're often more affordable and far more respectful and helpful. You deserve encouragement and clear guidance -- not discouragement masked as criticism.

As an incoming grad student to a policy program in 2020, I was interested in joint-degree opportunities at top law schools. I paid a $1,100 deposit with Anna Ivey but quickly decided not to pursue applications in that cycle. However, Anna Ivey refused to reimburse me -- at the time, I was a newly minted grad student for whom every dollar mattered, but Anna Ivey didn't flinch in telling me a refund wasn't possible. I wrote a customer review previously, but Anna Ivey reported my review to the platform and had it removed. I think potential customers should know these details when considering whether to work with them.

Manhattan Prep is an amazing prep course for the GRE. I took an in person class with John Cho and…read morehave nothing but positive things to say about him and the course overall. John was extremely knowledgeable about the test, content, study strategies, tips/tricks etc. He was able to tailor the class to suit the needs of different students, and was always available for after class questions. In my first practice test I got a 161V and 156Q, so was fairly nervous about boosting my quant score to my target of 165. John not only helped me on my quant weak spots, but also was a positive voice throughout my studies and kept me optimistic. Studying for a big test can be pretty isolating - especially if you have no friends studying for something at the same time (..i.e. this was my experience) so it was incredibly helpful to have a class & instructor that kept me mentally motivated. The Manhattan materials (books, practice tests, online resources, 5lb book (!)) are also top notch and better than those I've seen from other prep courses. I ended up getting a 164V/166Q/5.5 & I'm not convinced I could have done it without this class. I maybe could have eventually, but you don't want to spend forever studying for a test when you (presumably) have apps to focus on. Take Manhattan with John! It's 110% worth it - will make your studying smarter, faster, and less stressful.

His sessions were well structured. We covered all content and strategy areas but he also offered helpful feedback on the ones I should prioritize based on his assessment of my strengths and weaknesses. I hit a wall in my studies about halfway through and struggled to maintain confidence that I could reach my test goals and, more specifically, improve my quant score. John was really supportive in a genuine way. He helped me reframe my thinking around my studies and adopt a new approach that worked better. I got V164/Q168 (this hugely exceeded my Q164 goal).

Working with Trevor and Yash for MCAT coaching was an amazing experience. Whenever I had questions…read moreabout a certain topic/problem, adjusting my study schedule, or being overly neurotic about my progress, Yash was always just a text or call away to reassure me and answer my questions. For example, in the last few weeks of studying my AAMC full length scores progressed from a 516 to 519 to 516 to 513. The trend from a 519 to 513 definitely made me anxious, and it felt like I was hitting a slump in my studying. However, Yash was quick to let me know that full length scores aren't static, reassuring me that I'm scoring within the expected standard deviation around my average of 516. He told me that each full length is different in difficulty, advising me to take an extra day off each week to refocus myself and really hone in on why I might've got more questions wrong. This definitely helped clear my mind and I actually began to feel grateful for scoring a 513, because I was able to identify gaps in my content/test taking strategies that I didn't even know I had. Subsequently, my scores on the last two AAMC full lengths went back up from a 514 to 518! At the end of my studying, I felt satisfied that I've done everything I could to prepare for this test, and that no matter what happened on test day, I was confident in getting a score that would give me a good shot at an acceptance to medical school. Overall, I don't think I would've made it as far as I did without his support--Yash has been an amazing coach!

The instructors were phenomenal - especially David, who went above and beyond to provide solid lectures, good examples, and additional supplementary materials. In addition to great teachers, Veritas' online classes were really helpful - either for reviewing material you're fuzzy on or making up for a missed class. Plus, they give you access to so many practice GMAT tests (some of their own, plus others they license), so you'll really feel prepared by the time test day comes. The class format of Veritas really sets it apart from other programs. For me, having the hands-on classroom time plus TONS of homework/practice problems was the necessary nudge I needed to make sure I was devoting adequate time to studying. The books are well thought out and give you a lot of detail. I'd recommend supplementing it with the Official GMAT guide (in your final weeks of studying) to really help give you a sense of the official GMAT Qs.

Before you go out and preach my review as gospel, let me make sure that everyone knows that about halfway through the Vertias Prep program I decided I didn't need a $100k MBA. I just want to learn how to start a business and maintain it and have a fairly good idea of what I'm doing. Therefore, my score actually went DOWN by 60 points after taking the class. I don't blame Veritas Prep, I was just disappointed that it wasn't good for someone who works full time. Also, if you suck at math...I advise getting a private tutor BEFORE starting this class. Lots and lots of Algebra.

French is one of the most useful languages in the world to learn.
