This review is a little overdue... We purchased our Estonia at the beginning of 2023. I had been to…read morea few shops but found most of the salespeople either not knowledgeable or pushy (or both). Roger was very hands-on but not in any way obtrusive. He encouraged me to try every piano, as I was eager to do, and I surprised myself when I fell for the gently used Estonia (a brand with which I had very little experience). He explained the nuances of each instrument and answered all of my questions before I made my decision. An easy sell! Delivery was great (I forget who they used but it was flawless) and Roger spent time at our house tuning it - perfectly. Alas, we ended up deciding to move back to the west coast, but first to a small rental that would not accommodate a grand piano, and we were faced with the prospect of having to sell or store the piano for an undetermined amount of time. Roger's partner, Carol, convinced us not to sell (which we really didn't want to do, anyway) and helped us move the piano into storage. Thankfully, we found our forever home, and ten months since leaving the northeast we have our Estonia back! Roger and Carol, thank you for helping us find the right piano and for assisting with the storage and move. And for your patience with me! An easy recommendation.

The building is not what you would expect, they are located on the third floor of an old building that almost feels more like a warehouse, I didn't think I had even found the right place at first. Prior to my visit, I would never have considered a used piano. However, the models they have are in absolutely mint condition, sound fantastic, and were all hand picked. It's clear the folks that work here are craftsmen and while they are very easy going they take what they do seriously. Felt very secure that I was getting a great product, and I did. Incredibly laid back environment, none of the nonsensical typical pretense you might find buying an instrument like this. I felt like I could have just hung out in there for a few hours. James answered all of my questions and then basically said "have at it, play whatever you want and let me know if you have any more questions". Zero pressure. They are coming out next week to do a tuning which was included with the purchase. I had to reschedule but James could not have been more accommodating. Go see this guy and buy a piano from him.

I chatted on the phone with Elena to schedule a time for one of their tuners to come by my apartment. She was very helpful & pleasant, finding a time that worked for both of us. She followed up twice before the appointment - once to confirm, & another time to clarify on the parking situation after the big snow storm. Mike, the tuner, arrived exactly on time. He saw my spinet piano & let out a big sigh, informing me that this may be more difficult than we anticipated. We discussed my goals - I was hoping to return to standard tuning. He got to work on my stubborn, old piano, doing his very best to gentle tweak it back to normal. He did a wonderful job, considering the state of my piano. He honestly reported to me that he couldn't get to fine-tuning it yet, so he didn't charge me full price. I was so grateful for his effort & honesty.
