I highly recommend this company! They were very professional on the phone and in person. The moved my baby grand with no problems and they were the lowest quote I received out of a half dozen. When I move again and I know I will, I will definitely use their services again. Thank you Allegro!!!

I almost tried to take it apart myself after watching YouTube videos that said it's usually just dust inside, but I'm really glad I didn't. James knew immediately what the problem was just by looking at the keyboard before taking it apart (he could see a slightly bigger gap between that key and the next; something I couldn't see even when he pointed it out). He took it apart and showed me a crack in the key in question. He replaced the key while I waited and it was good as new. It was a very reasonable price as well. He also met me downstairs at the loading dock with a cart and we rode up on the freight elevator. I now have a go-to place if we ever need another repair. Incidentally, he said he sometimes gets people who bring him a box of parts because they took their piano apart after watching YouTube but couldn't fix it or put it back together. James said the problem is hardly ever dust.

He kept up with me in email even when he was out of town on business. When I asked what "professionally refurbished" meant, he sent me the website of the refurbisher so I could see the process. So I made the trek from the Cape into Somerville. When you arrive in the showroom, you know that you are in a place where someone knows and cares about pianos. James offered me lots of options, including some pianos that were less expensive. There is no hard sell. I found the piano I had dreamed about. And James gave me a ride back to the subway station. What service! Michael Griffin, recommended by James, brought the piano this morning. It sounds wonderful. James called to make sure all was well. I could not recommend this business more highly. It has been a great experience.

An experience of high quality from start to finish. Having visited a number of show-rooms in…read moreseveral states on my piano search, I feel that Falcetti's provided excellent service that I cannot help but recommend to others. Here is why. *Pre-Purchase* The instruments in Falcetti Pianos showroom are in consistently excellent regulation, voicing and tuning (this consistency is not present in other showrooms I visited in various states). Making an appointment was easy and once there I was able to take my time with the instruments, alone in the showroom. On his own initiative, Conner even turned off the AC to create a listening environment to get to know each instrument's nuance. The opportunity to really LISTEN this way is itself worth the price of entry. I found the staff at Falcettis to be more like resources and less like sales-people: they gave me generous time and space to get to know the instruments without any sort of pressure. When I had questions, Conner and Jake were quite knowledgeable, and I feel I learned from them. *Purchase* When I found a pre-owned instrument with which I feel in love, I was offered the opportunity to place a fully refundable deposit to hold the instrument while I visited other showrooms and played other pianos. Again, no pressure. Once I was certain that this instrument was for me, Conner was extremely helpful not just in arranging the purchase but also in helping me source an artist bench at an incredible price, arranging to move my current instrument at no additional cost and arranging a tech to come and re-install a Dampp-Chaser humidity system (that we use as a sort of humidity insurance along with ambient humidification) at no additional cost. At each turn, I was met with generosity and a helpfulness that turned what could easily have become a cumbersome, complex process with many moving parts into something that was, simply, easy. *Move* The moving team communicated in a timely way, was timely (they completed their work ahead of schedule) and, again, made the entire operation easy. Omar, Falcetti's tech who came to reinstall the humidity system on the new instrument was excellent. Timely, did excellent work. A pleasure to work with him. Overall: I am so happy, and thankful, to start what I am certain will be a long-term relationship with Falcetti Pianos.

The price of the piano was acceptable by market standards. The purchase was a trade up and we were given a fair offer for our old piano. Last but not least, the staff is very pleasant to deal with. When the time comes to purchase a concert grand, this will be my first (and very likely the only) stop. Looking forward to that, because it will mean we're rolling in it.

Very very unprofessional and he broke my piano.

It sounded 'off' and we knew it was time to have this addressed. I contacted Doug via email giving him specifics on location and piano type and asking for a 'ball park' cost to tune. He replied about an hour later to let me know the usual price to tune is one hundred seventy five dollars, and informed me that if a piano has not been tuned in a very long time, it may require a second tuning to get back into proper pitch. He also made clear if it were in need of repair that would be an additional cost. Prior to tuning, he does an inspection of the instrument to determine the state of hammers, strings and so on after which he is able to give an accurate quote. He also let me know the fee for this inspection and his time is ninety five dollars should we decide at that time to not move forward with the tuning. If we did move forward, the cost of the inspection is included with the tuning fee. We scheduled a time to meet him at our relatives home. He called about a quarter hour before the planned appointment time to let us know he was a little behind schedule, and arrived about 30 minutes later. He was professionally dressed, carrying his tools, wearing a mask. After quick introductions, he headed straight to the piano. There were many questions asked, and he answered them all and seemed to enjoy the conversation. During the inspection he found the piano be 1/2 pitch out of tune and would need to be tuned twice. The first time to correct the pitch and 2 - 3 weeks later, a second tuning to assure accuracy of pitch. During the tuning process, one of the base strings broke. He let us know the cost of a new string is fifty dollars and the cost of installation is seventy five. We ordered a new string through him and he let us know once the string was manufactured and in his hands he would contact us to schedule the install and second tuning. The entire process took about one hour. As he came to us, the round trip, plus work done, was around 3 hours of his time. Playing the piano after that first tuning was a huge improvement. After about six weeks of not hearing from Doug, I sent him an email asking if the new string was in hand, would he please give a call when convenient to schedule the install. He responded within 4 hours (on New Years Day) and called next day to schedule. We were not present during the installation and second tuning, but all went well. Our relative plays for pleasure, not a professional and although the cost to tune a piano twice and install a new string was costly, we feel it is worth the expense. Especially during this time of pandemic, creating moments to enjoy yourself is high on the list of priorities. Doug is a professional businessman, knowledgeable about his chosen career and we are satisfied with his services as rendered.

One day by chance I met the owner of misc stepson at a job I had played on a Sunday, when I got home I emailed Tony the owner not expecting to hear back for a couple of days at best - he answered within minutes and connected me with Wolf the tech. Wolf also took time on a Sunday to reply to me which meant a lot. He told me he wouldn't be able to get to me for a few weeks and we set a date. I brought my guitar on a Tuesday the day before we discussed and got an email on Friday that it was all set. I came in to pick it up on the date I was told it would be done Which was 2 weeks after I had drop it off. I came there with a brand new Stratocaster literally right out of the box for an easy setup which I do with all my instrument. When I got there not only wasn't my guild ready he hadn't even touched it. It sat in a corner for two weeks. So I left the strat which I now regret and they'd call me when the guild was ready. A week and a half later I was told it was done. When I brought it in it had 11 gauge strings on it. He brought it out and the first thing I noticed was he put 12 gauge on it. This Is a tiny place with no area to play your instrument. I had to get on my knees in front of the counter to try it out. The next thing I noticed was the action was higher. I played it with the 12s and When it was time to change them I got the same brand of 12s. When I put them on they where literally touching the frets after the 7th fret. I couldn't play it after the 7th. I complained to Tony and was told to call Wolf and I did and said the issue seemed to be with the cut of the bridge. So I brought it back expecting to leave it off so he could fix the issue. it had only been 7 months he didn't remember me or my guitar. Then looks at it and asks me if I could wait a few minutes I said okay. I expected him to come back and tell me how long it would take to correct it. He brings it back to me and his solution was to stick a couple shims under the bridge which made the action even higher and the string buzz on the second string which was the original issue was even worse. I could have done that myself. They charged me 85 dollars for the setup and ruined a 900 dollar guitar. Not mention the fact that he talked me like I was an idiot who new nothing about my instrument. don't go there.
