TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! i love michael kors products. unfortunately this is the only outlet store on the island so i guess ill be back by default. let me tell u of my not so delightful experience. i went here after work around 6 to buy a mothers day present for my mother-in-law. i was greeted by 2 girls at the door who were deeply engaged in conversation. there was another by a mirror who appeared to admire herself way too much. another 2 by the watch display who were discussing what they wanted to eat. 3 more behind the cash register. talk about over staffed. so i asked one of the associates if i could look at a watch. she looked at me then turned around to the 2 girls who were discussing dinner options and says, "can u open that for her. Im going to grab food." i thought to myself...fair enough. it is dinner time. so one of the associates opens the watch case and leaves it wide open while she turns her back to me and continues on about pancit. someone of less moral character would've snatched some 200 dollar watches!! but i guess pancit is more important than protecting store merchandise. afterall, it was around dinner time. so NO ONE was helping me with my watch selection. i put my hands in and out of the open watch display trying on multiple watches putting them back. shortly thereafter the associate who instructed another to help me came back with a garlic chicken plate. the pancit enthused associate was now distracted by the smell of garlic chicken. i stood there looking at the associate with her garlic chicken and the now garlic chicken enthused associate converse about where she got dinner from and how excited she is to eat it. i know im not a food item but could someone help me?? so frustrating!! i left without buying anything. its unfortunate that this is the ONLY michael kors outlet store. the managers NEED to hire quality employees that match their quality products. read more

FAIL!!! My first & last experience!!! I WILL NOT go to this store EVER!!! The workers here are all hawks wanting a piece of the commission. They need to go back to customer service school!! FAKERS WORK HERE!! They convince you to buy the product, make the sale, and FAIL to mention that there are NO REFUNDS!!! Especially watch out for the supervisor...she'll mock you and cackle in your face because she suckered you into buying & got you on the no refund policy. They're losers!!! Nice, huge variety of merchandise. I think customer service needs improvement. Walked in the store I was never greeted or acknowledge. I was there for at least 20 mins or longer...nope! no customer service received. That one associate who was on the floor just looked at me, never said anything to me. The rest of the sales associate were paying too much attention to the tourist. I was never treated like that before especially in a retail store. But, oh well... right.! I normally love Michael Kors, but the customer service at the Waikele one today sucked!!! The workers today were snobby and stuck up and didn't even bother greeting us and even when we were looking at the wallets and bags, no one approached us. There were about 4 ladies standing by the clothing and talking to one another. Another one didn't even move when I was looking at the wallet, she just continued stocking the items and still didn't even say hello. No one was even smiling!! The staff here were fantastic especially a lovely girl named Sky! There was a miscommunication with what the sales were and so when I called up after I'd left to have it clarified for me, Sky went above and beyond to help. Definitely will shop again when I'm back in the States. read more

Today was horrible. No one even acknowledged me the whole 45 minutes I was in the store. I had to wait and walk around to find someone who would even give me the time of day. I get it was the holiday season but it wasn't even busy. There was no line at the register or waiting to get inside. They had well over 10 employees on the floor. I was so disgusted with their customer service. I left and spent my money at Kate Spade instead. At least they greet me and ask if I'm doing okay or need help. You actually made me switch favorite brands today. Your employees are a reflection on your whole brand, and it sucks. I'm never going to MK again. read more

Ok so here is the deal... Michael Kors produces quality, fashionable items at decent prices. The store at Waikele has a limited selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. Here is my gripe... I showed up at the store on December 23rd. Yes I know this is last minute but... I wanted to buy a gift certificate. I had $100 in my hand and their response was "sorry! we ran out. Not sure when we are getting more in. We have been out for a few days. You could go to Ala Moana to buy one." Seriously I just stared at the girl with my mouth open. I am not crazy. I am not going within a 5 mile radius of Ala Moana on the day before Christmas eve. Michael Kors just lost out on $100 free dollars because there were no gift certificates. Maybe it would have been a good idea for an employee to shuttle some over to the Waikele store since they had been out for days. Seriously I would pull out my scrapbook scissors and make gift certificates if it meant getting money in this economy. I could totally understand if they were out of one of their puffy jackets or a sale item but a gift certificate? Get Real! Saks Fifth Avenue got my $100 instead. Been coming here for a while, to check out which MK bag & wallet I want for my birthday present. Came in on a Saturday night, I guess everyone is, bag shopping tonight. Me & my BF were greeted with warm smiles & hello welcome to Michael kors. As i was walking around the store. One of the sales girl ask me, are we buying for a mother's day gift? . I replied back no it's for me, for my birthday present. My BF just smiles & shake his head. The same sales girl came to me, introduced her self. Hello my named is Loui, my I be of assistance to you. I showed her the bag I want. She said I'll get u a new one in the back. Then Loui came back with 4 different wallets that would match my bag. I pick one that I want. Loiu ask anything for u sir? Since my BF was looking at watches I told him to pick one & Loiu got it for him. Loiu truly catered to both of us. I'm surely coming back soon, to buy my sister her birthday present here too. Totally thrown off guard on my last visit on Thursday. Came here to shop for a gift for my bestie. Got greeted instantly by Jamie who was extremely friendly and offered to grab me whatever products I wanted from the back so I wouldn't purchase the floor models. I ended up grabbing a tote for my friend and another purse for myself. Total was right above $600. Now, MK isn't extremely expensive nor is it cheap so I would think the cashiers would get the art of ringing up a purchase down to a science. Nope not in this case. I get stuck with this airhead cashier who made the most awkward remarks. We were just not meshing. Then she tries to complete my transaction on this handheld device which is taking for.ev.errrr. 2 customers after me finished paying before. I finally finish up and try to leave. BEEEEEEEEEP!!! oh emmm. Miss Personality forgot to take out the sensors -__- one of the Sales girls check one of the bags and find the sensor. Try to leave again and BEEEEEEEEPPPP OH My Gahhhhd!! both the bags had the sensors inside. Super Shame!!! Not to mention when I got home. The stupid girl kept the price tag on the bag that I told her was a gift. Even Macys cashiers have enough common sense to take off the price on the price tag when you tell them its a gift. Oh my stars! I just don't get it. Anywho... Positive stars for Jamie and the store being clean but I probably wont be back for a while. read more

So there is a little back story I would like to start with before going into my review. About 5 months ago my home was burglarized and an item that was stolen was my Micheal Kors watch. I went back to Micheal Kors the 17th of December to pick up another watch in hopes of buying the exact same one. But as I looked through the the displays, I realized they no longer had the watch I purchased prior. I was greeted by Leah and she helped me try on a few watches until I found "the one." I asked her if she could take the links out for me and she directed me to the register while she went into the back to remove the links out of the watch for me. I then tried to complete my transaction but the gentleman and another female that was behind the register told me I needed to wait until Leah returned with my watch before they rung me up. So confused, I agreed and did a little browsing while I waited. Soon enough Leah reappeared with the watch and asked me to try it on again and confirm the fit was ok. She appologized for taking so long claiming the links were a little difficult to remove. I couldnt help but to notice she had food on her breath so she must have snuck in a bite while she worked on my watch. I then told her that the fit was perfect but I wasnt allowed to pay for the watch because the employees had asked me to wait until you returned. She then took the watch up to the register where I had to stand in line AGAIN to pay. The next morning I excitedly put my watch on so I could wear it to work and noticed that she didnt even set the time on the watch.... My first experience was by far a lot better, and I probably would go back to shop but not because of the customer service...I feel like hey, Im paying $287.00 (about $500 if you count the amount I spent for my first watch) then at least you could set the time for me! read more

Service is terrible at this outlet store. I went in on 12/27 and no one acknowledge me or greeted me. Only after 15 min in the store did a very nice sales person ask me if I needed help. This is my second visit to this outlet store during the Christmas season. Very disappointed with their customer service. They also don't tell you that you can't get a full refund, you can only get a merchandise credit. Their explanation is that they circle the policy AFTER you make the purchase and the cashier doesn't say anything...they just circle the policy on the back of the receipt. Very deceiptful. I will not shop here again. I'd rather pay full price for a Michael Kors bag then deal with these unfriendly staff. They need customer service training. read more

Horrible customer service! If it was possible to leave no stars they would be a huge zero! Went shopping on 1/18/14, a Saturday, dressed in casual clothes, and I could not even get as little as a smile while in the store. When I first walked in there were about four staff members standing behind the cash register! Then there was some blonde sales associate that walked my way, I smiled at her but she could not even say "welcome" or even smile in return. While I walked around the store the staff from behind the register dispersed and still I could not get any help(guess that's why they put the prices on the shelves). After getting frustrated I decided to leave and there were at least three associates, who were not helping any customers, who still made eye contact and could not even smile. This is my second time going into this store, the first was with my sister in June last year and at that time my sister was helped because she already owned one of their bags. I am disappointed that the service was so bad because I was really interested in getting a bag today. In conclusion, if you plan to shop in this store make sure that you come well dressed or look like you have money. The sales associates in this store are HORRIBLE! It really is a shame because you would think that they would want to help as many people as possible so that they could make even more sales. read more

I've always been a fan of Michael Kors and the quality of their products that's why it's my go-to brand for alot of the gifts we get. I like coming to this particular store compared to the Ala Moana location as I love saving some money on these high-end gifts and must-haves but one thing they, not all, but majority of the workers here lack is a welcoming demeanor. It's like they automatically are judging you based on what you're wearing and they pick and choose who they want to help. That in itself was kind of a punch in the face as you're never spending less than 60$ on an item! Work on your customer service skills, and not just turning it on for the tourists and well-off customers, some of us that live here CAN spend that kind of money too! read more

I purchased a bag here a few months ago and within a few months my bag tore. I called over to see if there was anything they could do since the bag was only a month old. angie tried to help me but told me to come to the store since I no longer had a receipt. I walked in and went straight to the manager as angie advised. I told catarina my problem and she went to the back and helped me out, no questions asked. Overall great customer service! MK is a fave for their dresses, handbags & watches. I stop in often to peruse their selection and the sales people are always helpful & friendly. I love it when they have special sale items, for example, while shopping for a watch for my sissy's bday last wknd, they had iPad covers for $9. Did I need an iPad cover? No. But I thought 'why not buy it & save it for a gift!'. Definitely recommend you stop in whenever you're in the area! Happy shopping!!! read more

I was immediately greeted upon entering. Very friendly staff. The sales people never made me feel as if I had to purchase. I ended up buying a wallet but went back the next day to purchase a bag for myself and wallet for my mom. I'm definitely going back again. Sk was my salesperson, she was very helpful. I like the new location it's much bigger and I like the set up of products. I like the staff so much better from my previous visits. Each employee I came across told me hi and in a nice non robot fake smile type of hi. One of the females (didnt tell me her name and I forgot to ask) came by frequently to tell me what was new and the discount on some of the items; in a non aggressive selling way and not following me around the store. I'm honestly surprised with the review. This place is a lot better than Kate Spade's customer service and items. Employees are positive, store is spacious yet full of selection. I'm very happy that we have this store in Hawaii. Only thing they do can improve is suggesting items, explain the product a little more to customers who do seem to be interested or indecisive. (I actually didn't know my wallet that I purchased was leather! I thought it was vinyl lol. By them explaining and me knowing, I could've bought one more). I have never shopped at Michael Kors before but my first experience there was amazing all thanks to Jackie. When I first walked in, I was given the "hi! Welcome!" by a few girls who looked me up and down. I think they assumed I couldn't afford anything in there cause I wasn't a tourist. I was a little offended but I know it happens. Don't judge a book by it's cover though. You never know! I was actually there to help my grandma pick out a bag. My grandma is pretty blunt at times. If she doesn't like something, she'll definitely let you know. Jackie noticed me and gave me a genuine smile when I walked by to look at some bags. She asked me if I needed help. I told her that I was there for my grandma. I explained what my grandma was looking for and right away Jackie went to get all the bags that had a similar description. When my grandma arrived (she is handicapped), Jackie even cleared a display off one of the lower tables so my grandma could sit down. She was sharp and I knew she could handle my grandma. She modeled all the bags and gave us both the low down on what bags were hot sellers and what ones were on sale. Jackie even took my grandmas criticism on the merchandise well. Even though we were not tourists, Jackie gave us the best service possible. I appreciated that she was fair and downright awesome. Way to go, Jackie! read more

But they greet all the asian tourist... because they know those tourist with drop a grand easily. So they can make their quota! Anyways the bags are very nice and classy. Michael Kors Waikele is definitely not the place to go if you want good customer service. I'm not the one to complain but their service was so unprofessional! I wanted to exchange my watch I got as a gift and when I called them to ask if they had the watch I wanted in stock whoever answered the phone had no product knowledge whatsoever and she passed me along to another associate, that associate was clueless so they literally kept passing me along to someone who knew. The thing is I still didn't get the answer I was looking for and it was as simple as "do you have this watch in stock?" I even read the style number to them! And the lady on the phone told me if you live here you can just come in. Who says that?! The reason I called was to make sure I wasn't wasting my time driving all the way over there if the watch isn't in stock! But I couldn't talk to them over the phone anymore because I wasn't getting the answers I needed, so I actually drove all the way over there, the watch I was looking for was there and I didn't know what was so hard for them to tell me if was there smh. Walked in and all the associate seems like they are more interested in their conversation with each other rather than doing their job and helping people. Most Horrible service I've ever experienced! Definitely never going back to Michael Kors Waikele! Your staff needs to be retrained in how to give great customer service and gain product knowledge so they aren't clueless when customers call! read more
