I am addicted to Michael kora for my everyday purses as well my travelling purses. Honestly this location was not that good for costumer service up until last year when they got new manager. Now the store is way better and welcoming. Love the new bags they have and holy moly the feathers shoes are my goal to get them once I get the okay from my Dr that I can wear high heels again. I think I own at least 30 bags from Michael Kors and lost count of how many shoes I have. Their clothes as well very high quality and super soft. MK Fashion Valley I went to return a Michael Kors purse a gift for my BIRTHDAY on 2/26/20 at 11:00 Am and the man told me I can't return the purse without the warranty card and the white cloth cover that came with it. Not very helpful! Then I discover the horrible return policy and unfriendliness they have on line. So I went home and looked for everything that came with it. It was christmas eve and i wanted to get the rose gold smartwatch for my mom. Fashion valley was the only location that carried the watch in San Diego and all Best Buy locations in SD were sold out. When i called FV David said that SouthCoast plaza in orange county had it i literally was going to drive to oc just to get the watch for my mom when i got a call from fashion valley it was David telling me how he found one buried deep in the midst of all these other items on hold. I was super excited and extremely thankful he went out of his way to contact me and let me know he found one last watch. What a fun store! The sales associates here are absolutely wonderful. As I was shopping in the mall yesterday, a bag caught my eye as I was walking by so I decided to stop in to get a closer look. I had never been in this store but the inventory was really cute. Within minutes, Onell greeted me and I instantly liked him. He had this great energy that made you want to smile and I did. Even more than I already was. I'm the kind of shopper that needs things to jump off the shelf at me for me to take notice. And I don't mean that literally. If I don't notice it, I won't spend time searching for it and here, I took notice to several items. Follow with me on this atrocity.... Bought my girlfriend a Michael Kors watch (yes i bought it at the OUTLET mall in chula vista) but it was still $200. It needed a link taken out of it so she suggested we go to the mall and have the link taken out. (Who was I to admit I bargain shopped and bought her the Rose Gold watch she wanted at the outlet mall). We go into the store and the very "fancy" man that worked behind the counter was very happy to help because he saw her Michael Kors purse and the Michael Kors Sunglasses that I had purchased for her in Las Vegas. However, the look of horror when she explained that she needed a link taken out. His response was "well normally I don't touch Outlet Mall Watches.... ugh but I guess I can do it this time" Holy crap, I didn't know a sales man could make me feel so ashamed of myself and embarrassed at the same time. It was if Michael Kors himself was there ridiculing my style and making fun of my annual income. I purchased a $900 bag that was on sale for $650. The sales person was very nice and helpful, however she failed to tell me that because the bag was on sale it was non-refundable. A week after I purchased the bag I changed my mind and decided to return it but I was only given a store credit. The sales associate at the store also informed me that my credit of $685 was not in the system and that if I lost the receipt there would be no record of it. Of course MK would have a record of my previous purchases and would gladly send me marketing communications but would not have my store credit on file. With today's technology this seems rudimentary. In the future I will not be purchasing any MK bags from the direct store! I'll buy from Nordstroms or Bloomingdales where their return policy is much more customer friendly. read more

Finding Michael Kors apparel is not difficult. That is...if you are shopping for women. Finding Michael Kors apparel for men...now THAT is a bit more challenging. From what I understand this is the only Mens Michael Kors spot in Southern California. There is one in San Francisco and another in Arizona. However as far as San Diego goes...this is it. Nice customer service. Special shout out to NICK...he is a big New England Patriots fan and a great guy to boot. (At least, he was great when he was helping us.) Very helpful and knowledgable. Residing in Japan. my standards for department store/mall are rather high. Nick delivered. This guy is on point. Unfortunately I had to return one of my purchases (a belt, a gift, that did not fit the person it was for) and it was no problem at all. Stores can have no problem selling you something however returning an item can sometimes be another story. Not the case this time around. I look to be back someday and you should too. Every girl has their weakness.... Mine comes when I see that little MK gold circle. For years I never understood why people would ever spend hundreds of dollars on "designer handbags"... I really love Michael Kors's designs. I must say, I usually buy his products elsewhere since the selection here is a bit limited. That being said, I pop in here frequently. They opened in the evening of Thanksgiving & I had earlier checked online & found a great deal on a pair of slides I wanted for work. When we arrived they were pretty busy but one of the managers stepped in to assist us. I wanted 2 pair of the slides (1 in black & 1 light brown). They didn't have the black in stock but ordered a pair for me. Only 2 glitches - the shoes in-store were on sale but at a much higher price than on-line. Quickly resolved by accessing on-line ad of which they seemed totally unaware. No harm, no foul. The second issue was their check-out system. Slow & I mean slow. They were entering everyone's contact info for their mailing list & it took forever. Nonetheless, I will return cause - hey, it's Michael Kors. read more

The lock on the bag was making this annoying noise whenever I walked. I explained it to this girl working Tuesday mornings (today) and she acted like I was an idiot. What a snobby place. The people working there are very stuck up for the little $9 bucks an hour that they make. I tried to convert a store credit receipt for an actual gift card, but they refused to do it. Mainly because I was not purchasing anything. Keep in mind I was dealing with the manager. He was a total snob. He told me that the receipt is valid and I didn't need a card. I wanted to buy a gift card so that I could resell it and get some of my money back. I left this store and went to a different store and decided to purchase an item and just turn around and return it. This different store was very helpful. I bought an item with my gift receipt. I went back to the Fashion Valley store and returned the item i purchased. This way the store looks bad because they can't move merchandise out. I had my wife go in and return the item. There's limited selections here, mind you I came from Macy's before I arrived here. They have much more variety in colors of certain bags there than they do here. Like for the example the Hamiltons. I never like walking in here, because I never get helped. They just stare at you like you're about to run out with the bag or something. Well if that's the case, BOLT THEM DOWN! But anyways just this one time, I come in when it was actually really busy. And one of the people who worked there kept bugging me. I mean I get that she's doing her job, but telling me stuff like "You should get your bags here instead of anywhere else, because we let you exchange them within a year if something happens to it." News flash sweetheart, stores such as Macy's, Nordstrom or even Bloomingdales does the same, not just yours. I swear I was at like every corner of the store and there she was. I felt harassed. At least the men who worked there, all they asked was if I'm fine and then they went away. Other than that, the store is okay. I wish they had more wallets. They only stick to a certain style. I guess what ever is on their catalog(I have one) is in the store. I was looking for their checkbook style wallets, but all they had were the ones that zip around. They also asked if I wanted an emailed receipt and I said of course I do but what email are you going to send it to. PJ the assistant manager who was working today 8/5/15 around 5:30 p.m., I went into the store to return the items i ordered since they were all to small, 2 of the items were on sale, however, i was not aware of the "final sale", policy and he (PJ) stated well if you would have read the return policy you would know these items are final sale.... With that being said PJ then said he would only return the one item that was not on sale and if there is anything else i want to buy. I said no he proceeded to say well then just give them away to someone else. So I called another location that i frequently shop at and they said "yes we can send the items back to the warehouse for a full refund", and they were very apologetic about the customer service i received at the the Fashion Valley Mall. After i got confirmation from one of the assistant managers they would be happy to accommodate me and send the items back for me I asked if he could send them back to the warehouse for a full refund again he stated no these items are a final sale, but when i mentioned that I just called another store that i shop at and they said they would be happy to ship the items back to the warehouse only at that point he was willing to send the items back for me but at the point i was so upset and frustrated with the service / rudeness I received i just grabbed my box left the store. I will never shop at the Fashion Valley Mall store ever again and from my understanding Michael Kors relies on the customer services for that reason they never have a "friends and family program" like Macy's, and Bloomingdales who also carry most of the merchandise that the boutique carries.
