Did some research before I came in and the staff was very tentative with viewing the pieces I was interested in, and offered me a beverage while we waited. My most recent time I walked in with confidence. I requested to see the pieces I was interested in, and ended up walking out with a whole different piece. I ended up having to exchange the piece for another size, and it was completely seamless. I love the upscale customer service that Cartier provides to its clients. We visited the Cartier store at Fashion Valley on April 20, 2026, around 4-6 PM to have a link removed from my watch because it was too loose. At first, security asked if we had an appointment and it seemed like we might not be allowed inside. Thankfully, a lady who appeared to be a supervisor or manager (she had short dark hair--I regret not catching her name) kindly stepped in and welcomed us. She helped find someone to assist right away and made the experience smooth and comfortable. Because of her professionalism and warm approach, I also ended up purchasing a leather bracelet during the visit. She truly represents the level of service I expect from a luxury boutique. I do want to mention that the staff member who adjusted my watch seemed somewhat distant and not very engaged during the interaction. The service was completed, but the experience felt less welcoming than expected from a luxury store environment. This is the reason I only gave 5 stars. I ended up returning to the store and purchasing my bracelet there, and I'm really glad I did. This time, the experience was completely different--in the best way. Store manager Mery and sales associates Tanya and Lydia were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were patient, professional, and made me feel at ease. They were also so sweet to my daughter and even made her a little bracelet to play with, which was such a thoughtful gesture. They explained that I can bring my bracelet in anytime for a cleaning, and I really appreciated how they took the time to walk me through everything and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the visit. Excellent experience in here while browsing last week. I did not have an appointment but was easily welcomed inside and allowed to browse. I was "assigned" an associate who was happy to chat with me and show me some items. He noticed me new wedding ring (a fancy chocolate diamond) and showed me an upcoming piece for the fall that will be champagne/chocolate diamonds and rose gold to match my ring and invited me to come back and take a look. Throughly enjoyed our visit here! From my first call with Ana, she was in the ball. She knew what I really wanted and was hoping to get for Christmas. She set aside the two rose gold bracelets. My boyfriend and I went down the following afternoon as scheduled. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and friendly to not only us but our little pet family as well. Every time I visit San Diego, I would make a point to spend time at Fashion Valley Mall, visiting the numerous watch boutiques. The Cartier boutique is by far my favorite for its spaciousness, elegant interior design, professional sales team and of course, the Cartier legendary timepieces. On this last visit, I wanted to look at some Santos watches and was assisted by Elide, whom was exceptional in her knowledge of horology, watch movements and brands - not just Cartier but countless others. Elide spent considerable time patiently showing me the Santos and Tank lines, carefully explaining each timepiece's heritage, complications and movement - and it was wonderful geeking out with another watch enthusiast. Never during my time in the boutique did I ever feel pressured and in the end, I purchased my grail watch. I really cannot speak highly enough of Elide's extraordinary customer care, her professionalism, patience and brand knowledge. Mixed feelings. I brought in my Cartier calibre for service and polish and cleaning. I dropped it off 10/3/22 and received it back 11/23/22. I was told by elide when I dropped it off that it shouldn't take more than 2 weeks. It took almost 2 months! When I asked for a good will adjustment on the total for the time they said no. This boutique has been open since September and it is really amazing. I am impressed with the level of care and concern for their customers. They were accommodating of a hiccup in my schedule and really walked me through every aspect of the item. I worked with the store manager, Alicia, and I am so glad I did. She made the experience really special. Every other SA seemed to be really kind and personable as well. Even the SA posted at the door was warm. She asked me the origin of my Arabic name, I told her I was Palestinian and she proceeded to tell me she was Jewish and made some comment about being enemies and trying not to hold it against me. I was visiting from the east coast. Seeing as how I'm recently engaged and our local boutique has a small selection, and I'm still deciding between rings; we decided to pop in once we landed. The service, was not really there, it felt awkward almost. When I was trying on rings, the associate very bluntly corrected me, stating it goes on the left hand; however culturally for me it goes on the right. I didn't feel the need to explain a cultural practice so I moved on to other rings, but each time she would still bluntly correct me. We also talked about future ideas for wedding rings, which she responded with "less is better". The sales associate helping me was Leslie V. from the moment I sat down the experience was off. I requested to try on the Juste un Clou ring size 50 and 51 in yellow gold. I was brought sizes that were completely off. I requested to be able to at least try on those sizes in whatever color to make sure the ring would fit. Once I found the right fit Leslie advice me the store did not carry the color and size option I wanted and would order that Saturday but would let me know Monday the details of delivery. I paid for the ring and left the store with the expectation that on Monday I would be receiving shipment information. Monday passed and I never heard from Leslie. I texted Leslie on Tuesday and never heard back. On Wednesday I called the SD Cartier store and ask to speak to a manager but I was helped my another associate who did not see any shipping details on my order and was told Leslie would reach out to me. I was messaged by Leslie at 9:21pm that I would now be able to pick up the ring on Friday but she would verify with me on Friday morning. I replied requesting to pick up the ring on Saturday. Again, she failed to reply to me and I had to reach out again to confirm I could pick up the ring. The significance of the name Cartier should be meet with prestige customer service, however my first Cartier purchase was one of the worst experiences. I receive better service at Nordstrom. The SD Cartier store closes at 5pm and I am receiving text messages at 9:30pm at night from a sales associate. I am beyond disappointed. read more

I recently moved from the East Coast and am a frequent guest with Cartier, so being "under the radar" if you would here in SD store I must say if it was not for Brett I would never step foot into the store. The 2 Assistant Managers are extremely rude as to be as blatant as that scene from PrettyWomen when the sales associate refused to serve Julia's character ! I had the displeasure of meeting the gentleman assistant 1st who truly had zero personality and was plain rude. Brett was a true professional and realized and just took over. Made the purchase. Came back and made a even bigger purchase and had the displeasure of meeting the other assistant mgr. Asian women, did not think it could be worse then 1st gentleman she is worse ....just wow .... I expressed to Brett I would of walked out if it wasn't for him & his total professionalism. Now I'm a nobody but I'm a somebody and they (the 2 assistant mgr. of the year !) have zero clue on who or what. so this will be very interesting as I can assure you Cartier as a company is not like this nor will be pleased to hear as I report. I came Friday may 27th asking for an appointment I was ready to purchase a couple of things that I had seen on the gram and at the doorman sized me up quick. I was trying to walk in and buy some watches for me and my girl an this guy went inside and came back in seconds. He said everyone was waiting on their appointments. I walked away to go to another store in the mall but remembered to ask if I can come buy them later.
