Free concert! Excellent band!
Alejandra D.

The music lured us in and it was everything. Free concert! Fantastic Latin band that night and free to sit on the benches. They sold cocktails which was nice. Lots of people got up to dance and don't worry about losing your spot bc you'll easily find another. Would definitely come back here for the music. Hubby and I took a dance break to grab a churro from the Mercadito shop selling some of the best churros I've had. We found a bench and ate our churro and watched others dance for a bit. The vibes were everything!

My favorite place to come because of live music and outdoors love the decorations. Price is medium range but they have a good variety of food and drink items. Everything is good and fresh. Service is usually good but maybe they were busy so the service did lack a little bit. Parking can be busy just be patient. Lots of shopping areas and many food places to buy snacks and treats..

Fiesta indeed! I've stopped by here early morning and late evening and the party is always hopping. Of course, it's a bit more lively when the sun goes down, but I prefer my parties during the day. There are lots of great souvenir shops on the perimeter and then restaurants in the middle. There's also a stage with seating for live music. I haven't seen it myself, but I can imagine some amazing salsa dancing here with the band. Maybe one of these days I'll pack my dancing shoes and venture out past dark and see what I can find.

The whole trip to Knotts berry Farm was amazing but the character in the Snoopy costume who made my non verbal son's whole day.. I highly recommend Knotts Berry Farm for families with kiddos on the spectrum. They made everything very smooth and very fun.

LET'S FIESTA! The action-packed shopping center/cultural hub of Old Town is home to a variety of shops, the Casa De Reyes restaurant, and specialty food spots. Fiesta De Reyes is a in-spot for both tourists and residents. You can find live music on-stage at the center of the plaza. I've seen Selena tributes, Mariachi music and more! Entertainment is constantly rotated and fresh. What's perfect is that all performances are free and there's a dance floor to join in on the festivities! There's plenty of local businesses to support here such as a tile shop, souvenir stores, and hand-crafted items. My personal favorite shop is Nibble Chocolate, home to some EXCELLENT vegan hot chocolate and champurrado! Throughout the plaza, you'll also find street taco and tamal booths. The food is a bit pricey, so if you'd like to try a little bit of everything for a more affordable price I'd recommend eating at Casa De Reyes since they own the taco/tamal booths. Just order a combo plate where you can pick and choose what you want to try. I always have a great time visiting this iconic San Diego plaza! Some of the patrons are a bit entitled and there's some grumpy old people, but all the staff are very professional with them! Please be kind when visiting ya'll!

Best service ever! Thank you Victoria! I ordered the carnitas plate with flour tortillas. It's my favorite.

Best service ever! Thank you Victoria! I've been coming here for years. They have great margaritas, and the ambiance is always fun and festive. The carnitas platter is my favorite.....Don't forget dessert. Ask for their fried ice cream

This place is a big shopping area featuring Mexican gifts, clothes, home items, and decorations. It also has multiple restaurants, open late! It is beautiful to come during Día de los Muertos; highly recommend. Everything is expensive, but everyone is pretty nice. They also sell roasted nuts and churros, if you only want a small snack.

We visited this enclave like shopping area while visiting "Old Town San Diego" and regretted that our schedule didn't allow us to eat at the restaurant. That said, we were able to visit a couple of shops where we bought souvenirs and gifts for ourselves and our friends. Specifically we visited " La Flora de Mexico" which had many many items for a back yard or garden area...some very beautifully glazed terracotta pots...one of which I bought for myself and other garden and back yard items for some friends. Also, we visited "Del Cobre Old Town Copper". The hand made copper items here are beautiful and my wife bought a few items for her friends. We visited nearly all the shops and loved them all even if we didn't buy anything...the "tile" place was a missed opportunity as we didn't have any pending projects that needed these types of items but it's something we'll keep in mind. While we walked the permitter of shops there is a restaurant in the middle where lots of people were enjoying their Sunday morning. Great atmosphere all around!

Fiesta de Reyes is always a good time when I'm hanging out in Old Town. It's so colorful and lively in the evenings when the live bands are playing. My favorite time to come here is during Día de los Muertos when they have all the decorations up. Fiesta de Reyes (celebration of kings) is an area in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park that has a small hotel, gift shops, restaurants, and an outdoor stage for live music. You can order drinks and dance on the dance floor when the band is playing. Admission is free to enter into Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and Fiesta de Reyes. The park commemorates the early days of San Diego from 1821 to 1872. It gets pretty crowed here in the evenings. Casa de Reyes, Barra Barra Saloon, and The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant are the places to dine at. There are many shops that surround the main courtyard area that sells gifts and snacks like ice cream and churros. Casa de Reyes gives out free homemade tortillas at a small window near the restaurant if you are wanting a small bite. Casa de Reyes is my regular stop for food when I visit Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. While I was waiting for my table, I visited a couple shops and picked up a few things. Then I grabbed a drink and enjoyed the entertainment. I love when the dancers come out and perform. Their dresses are so colorful. Sometimes they have mariachi bands too. My favorite part of coming here is immersing myself in the culture (and the food!). Despite how crowed it can get here, Fiesta de Reyes is a good time.

After walking Old Town and exploring the little shops around, this restaurant looked appealing. The vibe was awesome; you get to hear live music and watch people dance which was enjoyable. They have many options of food and the portions are big; however, it didn't taste authentic. The food was a little bland and didn't have much flavor. I would go back for the atmosphere and the sense of culture you get while enjoying a meal. I must add the service is good, the waiters, managers, and staff are all very friendly and attentive.

Love this place Decor was awesome for Dia De Los Muertos Live band Good vibe Tons of little stores available Perfect for souvenirs You can also buy fresh churros 2 restaurants located inside Definitely MUST do when in San Diego

Genny M.

Such a fun place to come and have dinner. First, to get to the restaurant you have to walk through old town San Diego. It's a short walk, don't worry. As you get closer, you're greeted by great music coming from the live band. It seems that they mostly have outdoor seating that is under canopies. They also have out door heaters for when it's cooler. The staff are all very sweet and efficient. The food is amazing and comes in large portions. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere, good food, good service and fair prices, this is your place.

Food not that great but expensive. Worse is they add a 4% surcharge to every bill. Mgr lied and said it was required by the State of CA!

Ask the Community - Fiesta de Reyes

How much is it to buyout the whole place for a wedding? I've been trying to call but no one is answering or responding.

Hello Jamie - please email info@fiestadereyes.com and we will be happy to discuss further Thank you

Do you have mariachis playing there on the weekends?

They do in the courtyard area.

Can I reserve table?

I called to reserve a table and was told they do not take reservations, it's first come first serve only.

Is this different than casa de reyes?

There are some resemblances but it's different. It's unique in its own way and close to the green line so it makes it easy to get around the S. D. area and the food alone is worth trying it's very good and authentic.

Does this place offer handmade corn tortillas?

I've seen mostly handmade flour tortillas.

Is the restaurant open for outdoor seating? If so, will it take reservations once outdoor seating is permitted?

Saturday!

Is there live music during lunch on the weekend?

Yes

I only have two malls i consistently go in San Diego, the Fashion Valley Mall and the UTC Mall…read more However, UTC mall is more of a leisure... to walk around and kill time, for my son to play at the playground, for the festivities on the holiday season especially Xmas, to have family fun dates and good food experiences at nearby restaurants and the mall I always go to every time I have issues with my Apple iPhone and techs. The fashion Valley Mall tho, is my main mall. This is the mall where I actually do most of my shopping. We watch movies at the AMC theater when we have extra time and get food at the cafeteria/food court area after hours of walking. My son never misses going inside the Laderach to get a free taste, the best chocolate there is. We love going to this mall, especially with my son now being a teenager, we would most likely be doing lots of our shopping activities here especially at his favorite boutiques, like the zumies, Hollister, Rayban, and plenty others I do not recall.... We also love going to The escape room where the mall is. My favorite is the Nordstrom Rack! ;) The holidays tho could get really packed and busy but there's alot of nice things to see and lots of good deals to look forward to.

Hello May!! Came to…read moreFashion Valley on what must've been an off Sunday because...where was everybody? I hadn't been here in years, fully prepared to fight for parking, but jokes on me. Endless spots to park! That's a first! Are malls dead now? How are stores surviving? Anywhoo, I still spent more than planned. Damn you, Sephora! Pros: *Surprisingly easy parking (a rare mall miracle) *Huge mix of stores from bougie to budget - Louis Vuitton, Coach, Hollister, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Neiman Marcus, H&M, Zara, and Gucci to name a few *Open-air vibe with palm trees; very San Diego aesthetic with a tropical feel; complete with fountains and artistic landscaping *Solid food options with a food court, cafes, and kiosks, Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52, and my fav, True Food Kitchen *Clean and well-maintained and easy to wander around *There's a lot of variety here to keep you entertained *They have seasonal events that is a nice addition to shopping Cons: *Felt oddly empty for a Sunday..kinda eerie but it may be an introvert paradise *Dangerous for your wallet (you will overspend) *Some stores seem like they're hanging on by a thread *Malls just don't hit like they used to despite the pros- mainly because everything has gone up! Shopping isn't as enjoyable when things cost an arm and a leg. Overall: 3.5 Stars - Still one of the nicer malls around if you're in the mood to stroll, shop, and accidentally blow your budget (Guilty!). Would I come back? Only if my bank account approves!

There are a few restaurants here that I personally like, especially Din Tai Fung and Haidilao. There's also Starbucks and plenty of other spots depending on what you're in the mood for. The whole area just has a comfortable vibe to it compared to a lot of other malls. Parking has honestly never been too difficult for me either. Even when it gets busy, I can usually still find a spot without too much trouble.

Apocalyptically awful parking lot!…read more This parking lot is a chaotic, soul-crushing labyrinth that may very well be the single worst design I've encountered in my 79 long, well-traveled years on this planet. Upon entering, you're handed a cheerful little ticket promising a free first hour--how generous! What they don't tell you is that you'll spend roughly two-thirds of that hour trapped in a slow-moving purgatory just trying to escape. You've got about 20 blissful minutes to enjoy yourself before trying to join the line of cars that moves slower than a sloth on melatonin. I genuinely cannot tell if the exit gates are malfunctioning, cursed, or if the drivers ahead of me were participating in some sort of cognitive endurance experiment. Multiple cars took a baffling 4-5 minutes each at the gate--an interaction that should take about 10 seconds unless you're attempting to solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded. By the time I escaped, I had aged another decade. I will absolutely never return to this parking lot. Bring a helicopter. Hope this helps.

The staff there were also very helpful and gave my son few free sleeves for his one piece cards. The place is very small, very clean and all the stores were organized. It wasn't very packed on a Saturday, it didn't feel that way but the parking was a hot mess. Lol maybe bc they share parking with the flower field. My favorite is the view of the flower field next door. Really is heaven on earth when you see such colors surrounding you.

I guess not too common nowadays. These outlets in general is pretty standard with pretty empty crowds so it's not hard to find a parking spot. The vibes here feel like more of a casual mall with the food and iced tea shops having more people in line for than any of the retail stores. However.. I was able to find a great deal at one of the stores! Still worth walking around to look and browse through some stores. Children activities.. they have a fun life-sized checkers board to play with and even a train ride.
