While visiting Old Town San Diego I came across Johnson House. It caught my eye right away and I knew I was going to be surpised by what they had to offer. I was right. As soon as you walk in the door your taken back in time as you walk through the isle and see all the baeutiful thtings they have displayed. The feel is from another era, victorian, vintage, and some items I remember from my childhood. They had some newer items which blended in well with their displays. I coulkd have been in here for hours just looking at all the great items they had displayed throughout thier store. They had clothing, jewelry, hats, lace & crochet gloves, purses, scarves, and nick-nacks from a time gone by. Jewelry was eye catching. Thre were so many pieces I wanted to purshase, but, I knew I had to controll the erge, lol. I found a magnafying necklace and it was one of the itms i purchased. I loved the simplicity of it and the function too, because lets face it, sometimes you need a little help to see things clearly. This was a good purshase being its nice to look at and nice for looking at things more clearly. Bells, Bells, & Bells. I found a tray full of silver bells. Unique silver bells and each one diffrent, perfect for a tea party. I chose one with a flower on top. Its going to look great at out tea party. Loved everything about this store and will definately visit agian when Im in San Diego.

This place was very nice and it would be the store to go to if you were looking for colonial clothes. Worker seemed friendly and willing to help while prices are decent

I am a huge fan of the Victorian era so when I find places like this (very rare) I go a little batty. I was visiting SD and staying in Old Town. I had never been into this shop before so when I wondered in, I was beyond thrilled!! Everything was so beautiful and there are a TON of different nick knacks to browse. I ended up going back the next day for a lace parasol and an adorable frame that I couldn't take my mind off of. The lady working the counter was VERY nice and didn't mind asking questions about the items in the store. I seriously can't wait to go back!!

Love this store! As an active member of an reenactment group I found so many amazing artifacts I could buy and wear. They gave me a discount because I am part of the reenactment movement. Thank you for help and for having amazing products on hand! If I lived in SD I would go broke shopping here! Thank you again for your help so I could find the most needed pieces I needed.

Luv this!

Unique, beautiful, friendly, quaint...I come here often for gifts and for myself. One of my favorite shops in this big SoCal county.

Can't believe I haven't left a review yet! I happened upon…read morethis thrift in Old Town over a year ago. Yes it's tiny but they get some of the best donations to sell! Clothes = $4 yes, ALL adult clothes are $4 (some special items may be higher, like the $30 wedding dress...) Plants = yes, this thrift also sources AMAZING plants to sell and they pair it with follow up care / advice, so if you get it home and forget how to care for it, send a message and they'll happily help. Trinkets, treasures, small household items, shoes in REALLY great condition? Yep, they've got all that! Fun events? That too! Plant Bingo and propagation swaps to name a few. Hannah and Hanna are amazing.

I haven't been here since the new ownership and I've alway quite loved this place. I think I've…read moredecided that I may actually love it a little more now! The team is so delightful, uplifting and the place is a total vibe. The owners engaged with each person on some level or another and were super friendly (not the fake kind). They knew so much about plants, and as a plant girlie myself, I was diggin' it. They are all about community and care about what they put out to sell. Honest Thrift has options for everyone. Trinkets, clothes, shoes, plants, music, art etc. The pricing is affordable and fair, and their plant selection is beautiful and properly priced for a boutique style premium selection of plants of very well maintained and cared for. Heck, what you save on buying clothes for $4, splurge on your plant. If I didn't have nearly 100 plants in my own house and own my own plant business, I'd get mine from here. Do know, I'll buy cutesy things for my home and gifts for others.

An amazingly large antique and 2nd hand store with many independent shops. We stopped to do so…read morequick shopping and ended up staying over an hour until closing time. They have almost anything you might look for at an antique store or estate sale. Many decorative rugs, books, furniture, lots of media. Just an amazing place to shop. Some of the shops have new products like watches and clothing, but it is a great adventure to just wander through the tight maze of places. Look for sales, and take pictures of the offers to take to the register. You will turn your head or turn a corner and see many eye catching items. Pricing varies from bargains to overpriced, depending on the booth. Great place to explore.

This place is a JOKE! I had two items on consignment. They sold both items rather quickly. We…read morerecieved one check for the lower priced item and was told they will send the check for the other item the following month. That time has come and gone. I've called multiple times only to get the runaround. I tried calling to talk to the person in charge only to be told "no". Araceli was the last person I talked to. Very rude and unprofessional. She called my wife back and inform her that a check might be ready to pick up but she needs to call after 1pm before she gets there. My wife asked the name of the owner of the business. Araceli told her that "it doesn't matter" and refused to disclose the name. We will update this post to let all know if we received the check or not. They refuse to provide proof of what the item sold for it for.
