This place is a JOKE! I had two items on consignment. They sold both items rather quickly. We recieved one check for the lower priced item and was told they will send the check for the other item the following month. That time has come and gone. I've called multiple times only to get the runaround. I tried calling to talk to the person in charge only to be told "no". Araceli was the last person I talked to. Very rude and unprofessional. She called my wife back and inform her that a check might be ready to pick up but she needs to call after 1pm before she gets there. My wife asked the name of the owner of the business. Araceli told her that "it doesn't matter" and refused to disclose the name. We will update this post to let all know if we received the check or not. They refuse to provide proof of what the item sold for it for. read more

An amazingly large antique and 2nd hand store with many independent shops. We stopped to do so quick shopping and ended up staying over an hour until closing time. They have almost anything you might look for at an antique store or estate sale. Many decorative rugs, books, furniture, lots of media. Just an amazing place to shop. Some of the shops have new products like watches and clothing, but it is a great adventure to just wander through the tight maze of places. Look for sales, and take pictures of the offers to take to the register. You will turn your head or turn a corner and see many eye catching items. Pricing varies from bargains to overpriced, depending on the booth. Great place to explore. read more

Woooooah! This place is HUGE! I think you could literally find any old thing you were looking for! I got a cute red purse with gold ship on the clasp, a rainbow pinstripe spaghetti strap jumper, a buckle and some old brass dangly pendants I'm going to turn into earrings! I'm obsessed! this review is only regarding the guy that has watches inside this business, paul the watch man. i should be giving him only 1 star but he did return my watch. so, he claimed to know how to repair a quite valuable watch, so i allowed him to work on it (my trusting fault). i then had to follow up 3 times about it. each time given another excuse why it wasn't ready. he had my watch for 8 wks and did nothing to it. and when i came to get it, he claimed to have it at his home!! i then had to wait another two days to get it because he claimed he was going out of town!! unacceptable for anyone to conduct business in this manor. i did get my watch back. nothing was done to it. nothing. i do not recommend him. and the owners of consignment classics should know! i will only go to this lovely store for the fab merchandise from all the great vendos. not paul the watch man! beware! read more

We have been customers of Consignment Classics at its other San Diego locations. This location is quite different. As best as I can tell, this Consignment Classics and the San Diego Vintage and Antique Mall are one and the same business. Consignment Classics price tags are used throughout the Mall. There are over 100 unattended booths and standalone display cases offering an eclectic mix of furniture, clothing, jewelry, home and garden goods, tools, accessories, electronics, and more. Signs throughout provide instructions on placing a phone call to request assistance. There's a central cashier desk near the entrance, and a gated parking lot. I found prices to be higher than I'd expect elsewhere. The very size and layout of the mall can be daunting. read more

Parking is a huge problem. Not enough, and the spots are tight. Place reminded me of a grandmothers attic in a horror movie. Dusty, dirty shelves, cobwebs, and it smelled. Unorganized and no one obviously cleans the place. Saw dead bugs, too. Some very inexpensive junk, and some very pricey items that shouldn't have been. Whole experience gave me hives. read more

I've come to this spot a few times after going to Kobey's swap meet and always find coastal decor items I love for a great price. This place is humongous and truly has a design aesthetic for everyone. I always get a little lost going from section to section because the layout is confusing, but it's like a fun labyrinth to explore if you have time to look. It does draw a mixed crowd and I wish they had more employees to ensure safety in the store. I saw an altercation in the store once and the person was not removed from the property. So, I love a good treasure hunt. Thrifting is fun because you just never know what you're going to find and how unique the items and the entire experience will be. I am very familiar with the process of foraging for diamonds in the rough. And I am a very patient woman. However my experience at consignment Classics was hectic, confusing and altogether not good. Things are stacked to the ceiling here! Prices were expensive for what they are - and the sketchy location. Overall, it really was not well organized or approachable by any means. I came looking primarily for furniture (and I'm always open to clothing) but this location had rooms upon rooms of "stuff" so its much more for the knicknack collector or if you're looking for a really unique trinket to gift - but even those seemed overpriced. I would not recommend this spot to the deal hunter - or maybe I have to give it another chance. I can't really tell but I know when I'm looking for something specific like furniture, I won't likely come here... but for trinkets or decor - I might! read more

My initial impressions of this place were unfriendly, overpriced, and dusty. The staff was incredibly unfriendly. There was no greeting when we entered or left. Even though vendors and staff were walking around, no one offered to help us. The place was enormous, and it seemed like the vendors didn't clean their booths. Dust was everywhere on every item. Some tags were so faded that we couldn't read the information on them. They did have a great selection of vintage items. I'm not sure if it's the area, but the prices were very high. read more

This place is so very cool!! An amazing selection of household items, furniture, and clothing! So many awesome vintage pieces. I could definitely spend all day in here. One thing I did notice though was that the employees were kind of strange. I asked a woman in the back how i could purchase a piece of furniture and she didn't even let me finish my sentence before she told me to ask someone up front. Then the lady up front was also quite off putting, she looked at me like i was crazy when i told her i wanted to purchase a piece of furniture. But I am still giving 5 stars because everything else was super cool and i'll definitely come back, im just gonna keep my interactions with the employees to a minimum. read more

I like this place for hunting for furniture. The prices are really mixed. I found a tufted leather ottoman that was exactly what I wanted. It was priced around $300, when something similar new would have been north of $1200. They have an array of art in the back and all the walls. I love coming here to browse. You never know what you might find. It has a warehouse vibe. Tape measures are at the cash register in the front. I also bought a unique mirror here for $40. Parking is easy. Service is ok, but not overly attentive or helpful. It's still the best place for used furniture shopping in the area. read more

Totally in sensory overload is how I would characterize my first trip to this shop. I saw on Yelp that it was in my neighborhood and I decided to stop by, I was not prepared for how fantastic this place is. We all know that antiques can be expensive, which I don't understand because a lot of times you're looking at piles of junk. When I walked into the shop I was struck by how clean and thoughtfully organized the collections are. It seems that there are different collectors that all come together under this enormous warehouse roof. Each collector arranges their items in sort of a little booth. Everything seemed to go together so well and the pieces are of extremely good quality. A few of the collectors were actually there and were able to explain the stories behind some of the pieces and are seemed to be willing to negotiate on price a little bit. If you decide to pick something up you go to the front to pay and the tag has the collectors name on it so that's how they get their money. Never in my life have I been so impressed by the collections of antiques. There was an incredible Indian chair, hand carved from teak wood and painted so intricately. It was carried by people and raised above the crowd for high society. They were beautiful Mayan artifacts, framed art, handwoven rugs, fabulous furniture, clothing and household items and appliances from multiple periods. A surprising number of the items seem to be original condition, original upholstery and paint etc. and also in spectacular shape. You could tell some items had been touched up but very tastefully so and it many times slightly modernized. They also had a huge collection of CDs and tapes for $.50 and I saw a lot of things I wouldn't mind listening to you again in there! I feel like this is a place I will return to you over and over again, just slowly looking for things to fill my home. I am so glad I found it, thanks Yelp! read more

It is a huge space, please be prepared to spend 2+ hours here. We found something pretty fun here, and price is always nice. I'm so in love. I went back to purchase end tables and a snappy wing chair with tassels, And one other thing: I purchased these items before closing of my condo and they allowed me to store them there until the day after closing. Avoid!!!! They tried to sell me a Rolex 5512 with a terrible dial for more than double the price of one with a nice dial! Mind you 95% of the value in a vintage watch is in the dial. And they have it posted online! No shame, Do you research before you get excited about anything they have. Just get on your smart phone and do a few google searches and you'll see this place is out to get over in you. They spoke of the watch as if nothing was wrong with it.
