I absolutely love Michael Kors products but this store is NOT it. Came in on Sunday night and fell in love with two pairs of shoes. Staff member was helpful but I did notice they were being very chatty and just "checking the boxes", almost felt like I was interrupting them. They had 1 pair of a particular dress sandal left in my size but it was the floor display. I hate the idea of buying something 300 other people have tried on but I figured they'd price it accordingly. NOPE!! They wouldn't budge on a discount at all even though the shoe bottoms were scuffed! I reluctantly bought them and it bothered me for the next 24 hours and I simply couldn't support my purchase. I've spent thousands at MK over the years and I'm not being a cheap a$$, I promise. It's about principle. This is simply the wrong approach when it comes to high end retail. I returned my purchase the next day and I told the staff member why I was returning my items (he asked). He said "I'll give you a discount for this, absolutely!" WHAT?! As much as I appreciated it, I was so bothered. This could have been done while I was there on Sunday, after I had already asked two employees! I left feeling very disappointed in a brand I have loved for years. They lost a $200 sale vs just doing the right thing. Yelp 100 Challenge 2018 - #41/100 I lucked out that I was in the area for Easter Sunday, got a purse for my mom with original price tag of $298 that I paid less than $103 after the 60% with additional 20% discounts and taxes. Ventura county only charges 7.25% sales tax as compared to LA county's dang near 10%. The employees here are so helpful and friendly. That's probably why one customer took advantage of a male employee by literally making him her shopping assistant. Piling on bags and stuff on his arms and having him follow her around while she was choosing her loot. You get the idea. I wouldn't really make the 100 mile drive but if I'm in the area I'll definitely stop by again. read more

Me and my girlfriend are pretty big luxury brand buyers and I want to say we only go to the outlets if we know that Jessie Anne is working her shift at Michael Kors. If we come and don't see her we leave. If you're a regular Joe couple like my girl and I (and especially if you're a minority race like my girl and I) go see Jessie at MK, she will make a real effort to take care of you. Being a young couple, going to the outlets to buy hundreds of dollars of products at each store is usually pretty awful. Most salespeople think we don't have money because we dress down often and as a result are of little to no help. Maybe they are just paid minimum wage with no commission or something but Jessie made me feel like she cared about every sale so far. At most outlet stores the service is adequate at best with most salespeople, they will answer questions if approached but they won't actively help you look and curate the selection as they should. Before Jessie, I was expecting to write a pretty bad review of EVERY luxury accessory store at the outlets (and I still plan to) but Jessie deserves a 5 star review. This is what she does differently -she doesn't just introduce herself and let you wander. She actually asks what my goals are for my day's purchases and actively pitches different accessories and clothing that can fulfill my needs. -she readily quoted prices for every product BEFORE being asked to. Accounting for all discounts and promotions for each bag at the time. -she doesn't ONLY (she still pitches them and we still always get 1-2) pitch the low discount items that are overpriced. She knows we like stuff that's a good deal, and I bet if you are a different kind of buyer she would cater her recommendations to your liking as well. For me personally she pitches belt bags and backpacks. I complained that I think belt bags get dirty easily (and aren't water resistant enough) with my lifestyle and I typically replace them often because they are hard to clean. So she sold me 3 nylon belt bag/body bags at the same time that are waterproof and easy to clean (and at an amazing price). If one gets ruined I can easily replace it with a backup. Brilliant. -she actually knows the inventory, typically we walk in with vague descriptions of what we want based on what we see our friends wearing. And I mean vague at best. She instantly knows the item, we initially got Jessie as our salesperson because our original helper at MK got frustrated with us and just hid in the back. They probably thought we'd only buy one bag too. Their loss. -she doesn't walk away, she's always in the General are of my girlfriend. I also appreciate she caters more to my girlfriend than to me as the primary buyer. At most places salespeople assume I'm buying (probably because I look white, I'm not) and that is if they do try and help. Jessie has the balls to ask who is the shopper and directed her time and attention towards the primary shopper and didn't try and manipulate the person who is paying. As a fellow salesperson and someone who does a ton of luxury shopping I really appreciate this. -she knows our names. This is a big game changer, she instantly saw us and said "Hello Lucas, good to see you again KJ. What are we looking for today?" This one seems minor but from a sales point of view having your face recognized among the masses is great. Jessie if you read this, you're doing a great job. Honestly you have the skills to make it in luxury car sales, if you need a recommendation I know a few people that would love to hire you. read more

Wow. I don't believe I have ever experienced such awful customer service and lack of professionalism that i endured yesterday. My friend received an "outlet exclusive" Michael Kors handbag for Christmas as a gift, but the handbag bag was simply not her style. Upon arriving to the store, were kindly greeted by a nice lady at the front. We simply ask her about the exchange options. She offers to hand us over to another sales associate to help us. The sales associate isn't sure of their policy, so walks to her manager to ask. This goes on three times, since not all of our questions were answered. The sales associate kept saying "my manager said no" we then request the managers attention. Her name was Edlin - we ask her the same questions, she was short, aggressive (she ripped the handbag out of my friends hand to "let's see if the tag is even on it since you don't have a receipt") She then takes out her calculator and says "you have $120 then" we asked if she could look up the transaction since we have all the customers information. She quickly responds "no, do you have the credit card in hand and original receipt?" There was so much attitude, it was as if we were a burden on her. Eventually we exchanged the bag, walked out and vowed to never return. Side note- the way the some of the sales people including the manager dressed was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. I have worked in retail for 10 years and never have I heard of a store not being able to sell an item that is on display twice in the store and in the window but because they don't have it in box in store room, they refused to sell it. So you 're telling me you are willing to lose a sale while there are two items in store on display that will never get sold ever? What are you going to do with them? Throw then away? How is that logical? That is just bad business and If you don't wanna sell them just don't put them on display in the first place and make us believe you have them available. read more

The customer service from the staff at the register service was extremely poor. They do not listen and work with a customer. The girl checking us out asked the Manager a questions and the Manager was extremely rude and did not care if you bought or did not buy. She gave out this is my store and I do what I want and rudely turned her back on is! Four purses we were going to buy and after being treated so poorly we walked out and left what we were going to buy. We went online and purchased what we wanted on line instead. I love Michael Kors... but in all store that I've been into... this is by far the worst customer service.. EVER! I asked a sales clerk to change the purse and wallet that I got (I'm already in line to go to the cashier and while checking the purse and wallet... there were major flaws that I found on the items... like the stitches are frayed/coming apart and there are some major scratches in the leather). Anyways the clerk just told me that she can't help me and I just have to ask the cashier for help. I told her that I won't wait in the very long line if ever the items that I need are out. She just shrugged her shoulders and smirk. What? I was blown by her actions!!! I was already in the line for 30min.... (plus the standing in line outside for another 30min!). I've seen some other sales clerk that called to the back to asked if there are some items left.... but nooooot this particular sales clerk! She won't do it!!! Unbelievable! BEWARE!!!!! Got a jacket at a good price but it was a size too big, the manager offered to help out and informed us they were out of stock in which case we simply asked for a refund. We met all of the requirements and conditions but the manager simply wouldn't give us a refund because there wasn't a sensor that THEY took off when customers leave the store. I absolutely love this store and location! They have the sweetest most helpful staff. I came here the day before Christmas Eve and got the best deals... Although it was packed, security guards made sure we had a good shopping experience. I ended up purchasing a watch, 10 points for the price but -3 for no box. I went in today to the store with my husband and they had a great selection for women and for men . The price for an original bag was $498 and dropped to $125 at the register . The bag was already 60% off plus another 20% in the store needless to say it was a great purchase . This time around, though, my mom asked me to get her a Jet Set tote bag (in red) since it was going for $199 during their Independence Day sales. Say what? The staff were very attentive and helpful. The manager was really rude when I tried to exchange my un-used purse. He actually told me there was a spider in the bag I had and accused me of bringing a black widow into the store. He also wouldn't give me a full refund and was really condescending. I spent $170 and he gave me a $130 refund. I went in the other day to get a present for my mom for mothers day, ended up leaving with one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Why I will never buy a purse from Michael Kors again!!! My husband bought me a lovely, black leather Michael Kors bag as a Christmas gift. This was the first MK bag we ever purchased as we have always been faithful Coach customers. After using the purse for less than four months, the strap broke. When I called the store with my receipt in hand, the salesgirl said that because I was not a registered buyer in their computer, they couldn't help me and I would have to contact their Customer Service. Clearly she was busy and my call was an annoyance. The funny things was that my husband and I had taken the extra time, while in the store, to give them all of our information and were told we were now in their system. Hmm what happened to that info and why would they not stand behind their merchandise after only a few months? I called Customer Service. I sat on hold for 25 minutes and was then told that at my own expense I would need to ship the purse to their office. They would then look at it and determine if they would fix or send a new purse. I spent the $22.00 to have the purse sent and included a letter, expressing my disappointment and asking them to please send back a new purse. I also asked them to cover the cost of shipping via a gift card. The original purse was returned to me with the handle sewed on. Unfortunately, it looks like it could easily break again. No letter of apology, no gift card. If this is how Michael Kors warranties his products, I don't want anymore. I should have stayed with Coach. I have always found them to stand behind their products and handle customer concerns with ease. read more
