If you start researching tongue ties chances are you'll come across Dr. Geivelis because he's…read moreextremely well known in the "tongue tie" field. I didn't realize my kids had them as babies so he took care of 2 out of 3 of them when they were older (11 and 7 years olds). He referred my middle to an ENT by the name of Dr. Walner since he needed his adenoids out at the same time. Dr. Geivelis is so well known for this that there's an extremely large waitlist, especially if you want to get it done with anesthesia, which I personally think is a must for anyone who isn't a baby. It took about 8 months to get in from initial appointment for the actual procedure. Lori from Dr. G's office does a great job of keeping you informed along the way with everything from billing, preparing for surgery, meds to take after, etc. I think it's way easier for babies, but this is quite the ordeal if you have the procedure as an older child or an adult. First we spent months in myofunctional speech therapy to prepare for the procedure. The procedure day is far from fun, but I think mostly because my kids woke up really upset from the anesthesia. From there it's a few days of discomfort and after 3 days they are feeling back to normal. However, you're required to do a series of stretches so that the lip/tongue doesn't reattached at least 4 times a day. The kids get used to them after a few days, but my husband and I found them to be a huge pain...especially in the middle of the school day. The main reason we went ahead with the procedure was because all 3 of my kids are/were in speech therapy. I did see a difference right away in my middle son who went to Dr. Walner (we found that recovery to be way easier too). He was actually released from years of speech therapy the very next week. I haven't noticed as much of a difference with my daughter who had the procedure done over a year ago with Dr. G. And my youngest is who I was hoping to notice the biggest difference. He's also in the middle of years of expansion with Dr. Boyd, who Dr. G tends to work very closely with. It's been a few months since the procedure and we can definitely tell a difference (as can his speech therapists- both private and thru school) since he's able to produce clearer sounds now that he has more movement of his tongue. Overall, I"m glad we did it and found Dr. G to be warm and informative. If going the pediatric dentist route (over an ENT) I would definitely recommend him.

The DOCTOR Fleming called the night before, the DOCTOR Fleming called the evening after and there waz a 7 day follow up appointment. Went over post op instructions twice - once with staff and another with the DOCTOR Fleming. The extractions appears perfect. In contrast with two other kids with oral surgeons in the Glenview and Northbrook area it was in and out with no doctor involvement pre or post - and no one week follow up. Office is immaculate and very nicely furnished waiting room. Air filtration. Just wow. They take insurance too for the procedure not the anesthesia which top rated one s in the Northshore generally don't. Amazing. I kind of regret writing this review because they deserve to be jam packed and I don't want to have to wait months for my appointment!

I was referred to Millennium Park Oral Surgery by my dentist for wisdom tooth removal. I scheduled…read morean appointment through their website, which clearly advertises: "Wish to get a free consultation or a quick checkup to identify the kind of treatment you need? Just give us a call or submit the form here." Based on this language, I reasonably expected that the initial consultation would be free of charge. At the appointment, I met with a doctor and received x-rays. I was charged $188 at the time, which I was told covered the x-rays in case insurance didn't. After my claim was processed, insurance fully covered the x-rays. However, I was informed that $100 of that charge would be kept as a "consultation fee"--a charge that was never disclosed before or during the appointment and directly contradicts the free consultation claim on their website. Further complicating matters, I learned shortly after my visit that the doctor I saw--who was in-network with my insurance--had left the practice. As a result, Millennium Park Oral Surgery was no longer able to provide in-network care. The consultation I paid for not only involved an undisclosed fee but ultimately led nowhere, since continuing treatment would have been out of network. When I called the office to request a refund--since the x-rays were paid by insurance and the consultation no longer served its purpose--I was told they would only refund $88 and retain $100 for the consultation. During two separate phone calls with the Vice President of the company, I was hung up on. At no point did I use inappropriate language or become hostile--outside of being, understandably, a bit frustrated by the situation. On one of those calls, I was explicitly told that I would only receive the $100 refund if I removed my negative Google review. She also made it clear that the refund would not be processed until the review was taken down. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. Advertising free consultations, withholding undisclosed fees, and conditioning a refund on the removal of honest public feedback is not just unethical--it may violate Illinois consumer protection laws, including those addressing deceptive business practices and coercive conduct. I strongly urge anyone considering this practice to get all charges and billing terms in writing and to document the website's claims before proceeding. My experience revealed serious issues with transparency, communication, and respect for patient rights.

So fast forward twenty five years... it's my turn to see Dr Bressman (wouldn't go to anyone else) my front teeth needed to be extracted! From his front desk staff to his clinical team, I felt less nervous. I was treated like I was a VIP guest in their home!! The atmosphere was comfortable and highly professional! I think Dr Bressman could have extracted my teeth with his eyes closed but still happy he didn't LOL. The time flew by... and it was finished before I realized! The clinical team made sure that I left with care instructions, cold packs, gauze, and prescriptions and feel free to call if needed. I was called by the office the following day to see how I was doing and today while Dr Bressman is out of town he called himself to answer my questions and to make sure I'm comfortable and before we hung up he said to call again if I need. They got my prescriptions sorted out and prepped me for what to expect on the day of my surgery (1 week, a very quick turnaround). The actual surgeon is the BEST medical professional I've ever interacted with. No exaggeration. On the day of my extractions he explained everything that was going to happen and really put my mind at ease. They knocked me out so efficiently I don't remember even feeling funny, I simply woke up with everything done! They also called the next day to check on my progress. With the promise that I could always call with questions or concerns, our business was concluded.
