The dental office is wonderful, but Dr Gaynor was incredibly rude to my mother who has been desperate to have a tooth removed. He told her if she refused to get a root canal then they were canceling her appointment even though she told him she came for an appointment with the oral surgeon, not an endodontist. There was no apology for the mix up from him and he was very short and rude towards her. It costs you nothing to be kind, but it seemed as though he would rather be dismissive than helpful. My mother is elderly and all she wanted was some help. Apparently that was too much to ask from Dr Gaynor.
I will say the rest of the dental staff was very kind and tried to help my mother make an appointment with a dentist instead, but by that point she said she didn't want to patronize a business with a doctor who treats elderly patients that way.
She felt as though she were being blackmailed as he was basically saying, "either do the more expensive treatment that I know you DON'T want with me or you get nothing at all." She didn't want a root canal or implant. She just wants the tooth removed because it's broken below the gum line and needs an oral surgeon to remove it. I'm very disappointed at this man's bedside manner.
Thankfully the rest of the staff was so nice because my mother was already crying by the time she was done. What a horribly rude man! read more
