I mean, did your dentist have flat screen tvs for you to watch while you got your tooth pulled? Main Street Smiles has it all. From a super friendly reception area to a charming office converted from a downtown home in main street Barrington, honestly, it feels less like going to the dentist and more like visiting a family member. For my procedures, I had Dr. Pattani, and he immediately put me at ease by confirming the procedures involved, showing me detailed images, and sharing how routine an extraction/implant procedure actually is. My endodontist mentioned that my case might be a bit more complicated, but Dr. Pattani did his due diligence, exploring, researching, and ultimately coming to his own conclusion as to what treatment/next steps were needed. Following the first major procedure, he personally checked on me several times to make sure my recovery was going well. In my case, I had very little pain and I'm eager to see the results of the implant take hold in future visits. It's all smiles for me here. And yes, those flat screen TVs are for real. If only I could schedule my cleanings on football days!

Here is the post "My daughter and I went to Tom Jackson to get some implants, etc. done on her teeth. During our first visit, Tom examined my daughter's mouth and afterwards told us he thought the whole procedure would come in just under $20k. We thought great, seems reasonable and went ahead with the process. My daughter, who lives out of town, flew in for the second visit to start the process. The following day we receive the treatment plan from his assistant. The estimated cost was a little over $34k (70% above estimate). We were flabbergasted. We called Tom and asked him how he could have been off that much on his original quote and he said "I don't do billing". Needless to say we stopped the process and looked elsewhere. We found a very professional outfit, very highly rated and who my daughter was very comfortable with and whose treatment plan estimated the total cost at under $19k for the same procedures (less than Tom's original quote). What a terrible experience. My daughter has gone through the first part of the procedure and everything looks great. One other note - after we called and complained, Tom said he would refund our fees for the second visit (not the first) but we had to sign a nondisclosure agreement (gag order) not to discuss this on social media. If his concern was payment, he should have reviewed the form with me prior, and shared his concerns civilly. We could have called my husband for the ins info. Or call the ortho who had referred me. Further, i didn't know that dentists interview patients and need to "click" to treat them. I've never seen a doctor of any kind behave this way before, nor have i ever NOT been treated.
