The food here is consistently good and keeps us coming back, but unfortunately the service hasn't matched that same level. Theres a young lady who served us a few times with such a warm, inviting personality, she always made sure we were taken care of and really stood out. We haven't seen her since December and we never caught her name but she had blonde streaked hair and was always so welcoming. we truly wish we knew her schedule because we would gladly come in when she's working just to have her as our server. I like Mica's Peruvian a lot. I've been quite a few times, but this most recent visit of mine was just a bit disappointing. The check came out to about $75 before tip for three people. Two of us ordered the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken with Peruvian Beans and Fries, the other got the Peruvian Fried Rice, and we shared an order of Fried Plantains as an appetizer. Our mains were pretty fantastic, the fries were hot and crisp and the beans were super hot temperature wise. However, the chicken breast was a tad dry. The Fried Plantains we ordered as an appetizer also came out well, except the centers of each plantain felt slightly frozen, which made me question their freshness. Also, a staff member was hovering over us while we were preparing the tip, which made us all feel a little on edge. All in all, not a bad experience, but some things could be improved. This is the 4th time we go here and the food is Amazing!! However, we get ignored every single time. No one asks if we need a refill or anything. I stood up and walked to the register to ask for a refill. Second time I got up to ask for to go containers. Our server walked right past me both times and completely ignored us. Different servers have done the same thing. Not sure if it's because we're lesbians or what?!?! I love it here! I'm a nurse, and my coworkers and I get this all the time. We always order the Loma Saltado, and whenever new people try it, they end up going back on their own just to get it. The only complaint I have is that it's a very small restaurant, so I usually order my food to go and eat at home. I do think they could use a bigger space. There's lots of hype for this place, went with some friends, had to check it out. The Aji Verde green peruvian sauce wasn't as spicy as other Peruvian restaurants. Ordered the Mixto grilled combo, the one with grilled chicken, shrimp and steak. The chicken was overcooked and kinda hard and the steak was overcooked too, so make sure to let the chef know how you like it. The waiters were not nice as well, debating if ever will go back there. If I do go back there, might try their rotisserie chicken, it was sold out when I went, so would call in before you go, if you are a rotisserie chicken lover. read more

Mica's is a great little restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. Located in the same strip mall as the Haven City Market, this restaurant was a little hard to find being in a corner but it's right next to the goodwill. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor area has some artificial grass the tables sit on and it's actually quite nice, although we sat inside because of the weather. Service was great, server was attentive and it was easy to get assistance when needed. The menu is pretty lengthy with the main choices being vegetarian, Mariscos (seafood), chicken, and beef. I ordered the Bisteck a lo Pobre and it was really good. The sauce they brought out with the bread rolls was probably my favorite thing. I ate it with not only the bread but my entree as well. I'm sure it wasn't healthy, but that rice & bean mix was soooo flavorful and such a nice soft texture that we'd never had before! I didn't know rice and beans could be that good!! The bisteck a lo pobre I wouldn't order again.... everything was good, but it was such a random combination of foods (french fries?!). A week later, we got take-out: -chaufa de pollo - fried rice with egg and chicken Also good! Unfortunately the staff we interacted with didn't speak very good English and it was hard to understand them, which didn't help when we were asking questions about the menu and foods we were unfamiliar with. My mother in law has taken me here a few times now and it's by far one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the area. My go to is the leche de Tigre ceviche and tamal (which is a great size). The lomo saltado is also very delicious. Staff are kind and welcoming too! Would recommend. read more

Presentation was amazing. Customer service was decent, and the dish was also okay. The main issue I had with the breaded steak was the that the meet was incredibly gamey and chewy. There was white stringy stuff in the meat that made it impossible for me to completely cut through with the steak knife. I didn't even get through half of it because I gave up. The tallarin noodles and the fresh parmesan save this review from being a two. I'd love to come back and give this place another shot possibly with the lomo saltado. The potatoes with yellow sauce was amazingly flavorful. The ceviche was even better with sweet potatoes. I do wish they would put more of the sweet potatoes. The flavor really explodes in your mouth. The service was awesome! Very efficient and friendly. The ambiance was ok. The bathroom needs paper towels as the door is locked by a knob so I would really need a paper towel to open and lock the door. They have the hand dryer but I prefer disposable towels.
