This place left me wanting more. It feels so close to fine dining and date night but the ambience just fell flat. The Good: Food. The Service: Friendly service if not a bit relaxed. Food: For most quality plates your expecting, you'll be at or over $20 per person. Most drinks and deserts seemed fair but the menu has clearly had multiple changes. But the food is worth the price. Service: friendly, helpful, bilingual. Don't know what something is or want a recommendation? Just ask. I did have to ask for refills after two missed opportunities so bit of a whiff there. Ambience: Spotless inside. Top marks for that. I wish this place had linens, I wish our server didn't have a uniform similar to albertos, I wish the silverware didn't come wrapped in a napkin. I don't mind the concrete undressed floor. The lighting and sound was solid. For the feel, I'd hope to dress up the table and staff. I also wish that if the outside tables are going to be neglected, they'd be removed. At some point they're an eye sore. And don't light up a Wacky Wavey Inflatable Arm Tube-man. Light up the awning. It's an affordable eye catching upgrade. I have to explain, they didn't lose a star because of my opinion of what I thought this place deserved to be. They lost a star for the following: Menu prices not matching charges And the fatal flaw: cleaning with fabuloso while patrons dining. What a punch in the senses. To be dining on quality food just to be OVERWHELEMED with the smell of pungent cleaning detergents. It happens all the time. Seems like a manager demands an employee be moving all the time and everything's been cleaned so they'll just go mop something. Please.... for the love of dining. Stop bringing nasally abusive detergents out while people are trying to enjoy something you've made so we'll for us. I know the Menus changed a lot and I uploaded new photos, but please make sure prices are right.

I am a bit torn with this review because the service was great, but the food was just ok. I thought I would go with the basic, Lomo Saltado, and Pollo Saltado. The food was...average. you get a ton of fries but only a little bit of meat, tomatoes and onions. The meat wasn't to tender, but not horribly tough. I might go there again only because it is close to home. The shrimp ceviche was flavorful, but the shrimps were mushy.

    Empanadas de carne, desafortunadamente fritas!!

Tried the cau-cau, excellent!! 10/10. Ceviche: 5/10 needs improvement. The Empanadas de carne, were fried!!! Nothing to do with the Peruvian as they are baked. Awful disappointment! Food overall: 4/10. Service: 3/10 staff needs customer service skills and the ambiance is regular. 5/10. Cau-cau is the winner, try it!

While the Ceviche de Mixto was great in portion and in serving as was the Chaufa de Mixto, the Lomo Saltado was lacking in tenderness and flavor. The ambience was ok but no one really goes here for that. Last but not least on a Saturday the service was lacking. This has to be one of your busier nights and one person doing most of the work, felt bad for him bc that's not really his fault. His partner was not pulling her weight. As such, we waited nearly 20 minutes just to order foods and drinks. With competition literally 20 minutes from here next to Haven City Market; you'd think they'd want to be too notch in taste and service as those are clearly things that can be helped asap. For mediocre Lomo Saltado and poor service unfortunately a 3 is best I can mark this place and you'll see I hardly give those away. Hoping with clear feedback management can fix what was lacking today.

I was at Victoria Gardens and knew that this place was close by. I saw that they had lomo saltado ($21). They have a good parking lot size and have a good amount of seating inside. Bright inside with a large mural once you enter. They have a good variety on their menu. Other tables got mainly pollo a la brasa which is Peruvian rotisserie chicken. The wait time was not long. The lomo saltado was not too salty, the aji had a good heat to it, spicy and creamy. I got the 2 liter of chicha morada to go ($8) and it was not too sweet. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

I tried several plates the rotisserie chicken was my favorite dish. Reminded me of the now closed Kiki Riki Peruvian restaurant. I love the ahi chile sauce with mayo.

Came across this restaurant randomly and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant is new 3 months in and they were pretty busy. The food was so delicious, but the best part was the aji! Omg I could be drowned in it. So flavorful!!! Our server Karla was thee best. She was informative and helped us navigate through the menu and gave us great recommendations. She even brought over a sample of a picarones that we ended up ordering a whole order because they were amazing. My son who is a picky eater even enjoyed them so much. Can't wait to come back here.

Good Peruvian food in an updated old building. The inside is large and clean. The waitstaff was friendly and we were seated quickly. The food itself was pretty good. The flavor was good, but nothing was great or amazing. The price for a pitcher of a traditional Peruvian drink was good, $8.

Food was Delicious! Got the steak with basil pasta and it was amazing! 10/10 recommend. Nice setting and service was fast and simple.

Came for dinner and really enjoyed the food , authentic peruvian taste. will definitely come back to taste other dishes.

Been waiting for something to re-open at this location. I really like what they did with the place. A complete remodel. Simple but nice decorations. They didn't disappoint. Pescado saltado is not something you can get everywhere. The aji sauce on the side was spicy as well. Karla, my server was all smiles and service was fast.

We need to have a serious talk about the absolute wizardry happening right under your noses. ‍ I almost didn't write this review. I seriously debated gatekeeping this spot because I'm terrified that once you all find out about it, the line will be wrapped around the block and I'll never get a table again. But, my therapist tells me I need to be more "sharing," so here we are. This place is the definition of a Hidden Gem. And the man running the show? Lucho. We need to protect Lucho at all costs. Not only is he the owner, but he is also a culinary artist and arguably the one of the nicest human being in the Inland Empire. I have rolled in with a big party (don't ask, long day), and despite the space being on the smaller, cozy side, Lucho didn't blink. He helped us fit everything in like a game of Tetris. The place is spotless, by the way. You could eat off the floor, but please don't, because the plates are much better. A Warning/Disclaimer: If you are in a rush and need food in 3 minutes, go to a drive-thru. This is not fast food; this is fresh food. Everything is made to order. There are no sad heat lamps here keeping burgers warm since 10 AM. Relax, sit down, and wait. It is worth every single tick of the clock. Let's talk about the food (I'm getting emotional just typing this): The Lomo Saltado (The Star): I have eaten Lomo Saltado all over. But Lucho's? It's a flavorful experience. He cooks the steak to absolute perfection--tender, juicy, no chewing gum texture here. But the magic is in the seasoning and how it hits those fries and onions. It is worth every penny. I would pay double. Don't tell him that. Aeropuerto de Pollo (Chicken Fried Rice): I know, I know. You're thinking, "It's just chicken fried rice." WRONG. Stop it. It sounds crazy to rave about rice, but this dish is savory, smoky, and addictive. I planned to eat a few bites and take the rest home. I failed. I ate it all. The Chow Mein: Traditional? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not. There is a "minor twist" in the flavor profile that I can't quite put my finger on, but it makes the dish absolutely sing. It's out of this world. Mar y Tierra: If you can't decide between surf or turf, get this. It's the best of both worlds and plated beautifully. I love small businesses like this. You aren't just eating ingredients; you are literally tasting the love and hard work Lucho puts into the pan. It's rare, it's special, and it's delicious. Go visit Lucho. Tip him well. And tell him I said hi and to sing you a song.

The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.

The Lomo Saltado had great flavor, though the beef was slightly overcooked. Still, the seasoning carried the dish. The fries were a standout--crispy and really well done. I was a bit let down by the fish. Since it came with chili, I expected more heat, but the chili sauce ended up being pretty bland. That was probably the weakest part of the meal. One surprise was the special: a stromboli at a Peruvian restaurant. It definitely caught me off guard, but it was actually really well made. I'm guessing they lean into some fusion here, which I'm totally open to. We wrapped things up with tiramisu, which was tasty and a nice way to end the meal--even if it added to the overall "eclectic" vibe. All in all, it's an interesting mix of flavors and styles. A bit unconventional, but worth trying at least once--maybe even again if you're in the mood for something different.
