Great as usual! We had chicharron con queso, pan con pollo, and plantanos con crema. Nothing was left at the end! Service is great as always. They also sell home made quesadillas at checkout, which were also delicious. Highly recommend this chill spot anytime of the day!

Lowkey spot. Never super packed with people which is awesome for me lol Good quality food Everything is fresh so it's made from scratch so expect a good wait. I like to call 25 minutes in advance so the food is ready when I get there. 2 dollars Tuesdays for pupusas.

We were craving caldo in this cold weather and came across El Salamar in Rialto through Yelp. We ordered a Caldo de Res, Sopa de Puya, Tamal de Elote, Tamal de Pollo, Atole de Elote, and Horchata Salvadoreña. Overall, the food was flavorful, but the standout for me was the Atole de Elote and Tamal de Elote. The Sopa and Caldo were good but not the best I've had. The Tamal de Pollo was okay; I've had better, but it wasn't bad. It's hard to find authentic Salvadorian tamales de pollo. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10. The Horchata was good too, even though I'm not usually a fan. I didn't get a chance to try their pupusas, but I did see some being served to the table next to us, and they looked delicious. The service was friendly, though it did take a bit longer than expected to place our order. It looked like only one person was working the floor while others were in the back cooking. It seems like a family-owned business with good hospitality. The place has ample seating, good lighting, and a big screen TV. Chips and salsa were served while we waited for our food

Top quality salvadorian cuisine is all I was missing in my life , but those days are long gone after finding el salamar! Lol I unexpectedly found this newly established restaurant serving salvadorian cuisine near the 10fwy- riverside ave exit in Rialto. I made a pit stop to try some of their dishes and it left me wanting more ! I have been visiting 2x a week and pupusas are always freshly made and It is authentic as it can possibly be. I have dined in and ordered pickup (ordered my go to pupusas revueltas ) and food has always been fresh, hot and tasty! Portions are very generous... I also tried their fish ceviche tostadas and that was very savory as well . They do offer authentic salvadorian bottled drinks and fresh made waters ( agua-ensalada) that are a must try. Can't recommend enough to stop by on Tuesday specials, pupusas are 2$ and try them all . Although a salvadorian specialty restaurant, you will find Mexican and American options too. Everything is cooked to order so it will not disappoint. The establishment is not crowded and plenty of seating for large crowds. Staff is always very friendly and attentive.

Okay, this is one of those secret secrets, and now you know. $2 pupusas cannot be beat, the carnitas and yucca frita are also really good. Use tons of the pickled veg and you've got a filling, delicious meal on your hands. Don't blow their cover or you won't hear the end of it from anyone who already knows..

It's good food, and I almost don't want to share that information since it is a friendly, clean restaurant that so far isn't overly busy on a Sunday (it's always hard to find a place to eat at any restaurant after church around here on Sunday!). My first meal was the Tipico breakfast and it was great. My second time was the Vegetable Omelette and it was delicious. I wish them big success, and I will be back for some pupusas soon!

The pupusas were the highlight. The masa was soft and light, not heavy or doughy like some places. Very filling without feeling overwhelming. The curtido was also on point. They had great flavor, well balanced, and not overly spicy or vinegary. We also ordered the yuca con chicharrón, which was excellent. Well fried, crispy, and full of flavor. Prices were reasonable for the portions and quality. The only downside was the Salvadoran horchata. It was a bit too sweet for our taste and lacked that nuttier, earthier richness I usually expect. Overall, solid food and a great surprise via delivery. We'll definitely be visiting the restaurant in person next time to try more of their food.

Instead of trying to find out HOW meat got into my bean and cheese pupusa, she chose to be sarcastic and defensive about my experience without taking any accountability. She also said that their prices are "a little up there" and "are not meant for everyone" even though no one mentioned they had high prices. So she just went out of her way to...what? Call me poor? Weird. Please stop telling people that your cheese and beans are vegan; they are not. And it's not even always vegetarian either because I 100% got meat in mine and if you say you don't use ground meat in your pupusas, then I am even MORE concerned about what was in mine if it wasn't that. No wonder it upset my stomach all day! What the heck kind of meat was that?! You are clearly not a doctor so please don't try to tell me to go to the ER for an upset stomach. When vegetarians (and vegans) consume meat, we end up with a bad upset stomach - often for a full 24 hours or longer. It's like food poisoning to us. And I got it from your pupusas. She says: "We never said we are vegetarian connoisseurs." LOL lady, you're not even pupusa connoisseurs! I do agree with her on one thing though: Las Ploras pupusas "are not meant for everyone". I would keep that in mind the next time you're looking for good pupusas.

These are delicious! My order: 3 Beans, Cheese, and Jalapeño 2 Beans, Cheese, and Loroco 1 Cucumber Limon Agua Fresca Although the Pupusa is made a little different than what I'm used to, and what I mean is, it looks like two halves of masa are joined together with a filling in the middle. Usually you're not able to see a division in the side, but even so, they were still delicious. I liked that they were a little crispy along the edges and the beans were very creamy and not dry. I didn't see or taste any cheese, but I do think it was there. The portion size of the pupusa is decent. I've had bigger ones (that's what she said), but I'd put these in the medium-sized category. Actually, one was enough to make me full. The prices are better than most places, especially with everything increasing in price these days. $3.75/pupusa is actually a decent price compared to other establishments that I've been to in the area. The red salsa (mild) has so much flavor. Usually the red salsa is a less flavorful, watered down version, but OMG, I can drink the sauce by itself it's that good! I also asked for the hot sauce, but I'm going to have to see what my son thinks about it cuz I'm a wimp when it comes to hot stuff. The Curtido is fresh, crunchy, and nicely pickled/fermented. Not overpowering, but just enough that you can taste it. Latest Health Inspection: 12/9/24 Grade: 95 A Only issue I had was with the Cucumber Limon Agua Fresca. It had a sparkling water/soda fizzy thing going on. I hope it wasn't expired or spoiled, but I've never had an Agua Fresca that tasted like it was sparkling (no stars were deducted). Not a fan. Yuck. I placed the order through delivery, so I don't know about the ambiance of the place. They can be found on all major 3rd party delivery apps, except GH. Next time I'd like to try their sweet Crepes. I didn't see Plantano/Plantain or Empanada on the menu, but that would be something I would also like to order in the future.
