A diamond in the rough. This hidden gem was a pleasant surprise. Food was great and service exceeded expectation. You walk through the door and you wanna stay to enjoy a bite. A nice space with booth seating. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food over. Tried various pupusas all were awesomely delicious with homemade salsas. Great spot to check out when in the area.

Restaurant

One of my favorite places to eat in Colton. Food is delicious , service is always great and place is very clean.

Menu

I love this place, probably the best pupusas I've ever had, also their corn tamale is amazing and I also like their chicken tamale. Can't forget to mention there's this really beautiful girl that works there and she's also so nice and sweet. I don't know her name but she always put a smile on my face whenever I go there to pick up food.

Pupusa made of cheese and jalapeño absolutely delicious! Made to order this will be our new spot ! Please come give this place some love

The pupusas were the highlight. The masa was soft and light, not heavy or doughy like some places. Very filling without feeling overwhelming. The curtido was also on point. They had great flavor, well balanced, and not overly spicy or vinegary. We also ordered the yuca con chicharrón, which was excellent. Well fried, crispy, and full of flavor. Prices were reasonable for the portions and quality. The only downside was the Salvadoran horchata. It was a bit too sweet for our taste and lacked that nuttier, earthier richness I usually expect. Overall, solid food and a great surprise via delivery. We'll definitely be visiting the restaurant in person next time to try more of their food.

Delicious Taste of Colombia in Rialto - La Paisita is a Gem!…read more I'm so excited that La Paisita just opened in the Rialto area because it is absolutely AMAZING. I ordered the bandeja paisa, arepa con queso, and empanadas de carne, and every single dish was incredibly delicious. The bandeja paisa was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented -- flavorful meats, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. You can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. The arepa con queso was warm, soft, and packed with cheesy goodness. And the empanadas de carne? Crispy on the outside, savory and perfectly seasoned on the inside. Honestly, some of the best I've had. I also tried their maracuyá (passion fruit) juice, and when I say they give you a HUGE cup -- I mean humongous! It was refreshing, perfectly sweet and tangy, and the portion size alone makes it worth it. Another standout was their version of pico de gallo -- fresh, vibrant, and so flavorful. It complemented everything beautifully. The ambiance is super cute and welcoming. The design makes it feel cozy yet lively -- a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal with family or friends. On top of that, the customer service was very pleasant and attentive. They really make you feel appreciated as a guest. Portions are generous, presentation is on point, flavors are authentic -- La Paisita is definitely a must-try if you're in the Rialto area. I will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend!

The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.

Instead of trying to find out HOW meat got into my bean and cheese pupusa, she chose to be sarcastic and defensive about my experience without taking any accountability. She also said that their prices are "a little up there" and "are not meant for everyone" even though no one mentioned they had high prices. So she just went out of her way to...what? Call me poor? Weird. Please stop telling people that your cheese and beans are vegan; they are not. And it's not even always vegetarian either because I 100% got meat in mine and if you say you don't use ground meat in your pupusas, then I am even MORE concerned about what was in mine if it wasn't that. No wonder it upset my stomach all day! What the heck kind of meat was that?! You are clearly not a doctor so please don't try to tell me to go to the ER for an upset stomach. When vegetarians (and vegans) consume meat, we end up with a bad upset stomach - often for a full 24 hours or longer. It's like food poisoning to us. And I got it from your pupusas. She says: "We never said we are vegetarian connoisseurs." LOL lady, you're not even pupusa connoisseurs! I do agree with her on one thing though: Las Ploras pupusas "are not meant for everyone". I would keep that in mind the next time you're looking for good pupusas.

Once you walk inside you feel and see that vibrant vibe for a good time. The theme of El Dia de Los Muertos is striking with some masculine and feminine touches. Nice screens to watch a game. Bar height tables and booths to nestle in. Drinks were incredible! The choice for pitchers were the way to go. The food on the other hand has plenty of room for improvement. The rice had some hard spots kinda similar to when you reheat rice at home in the microwave. The verde enchilada was good but chicken was a little dry. Needed some flavor so added that salsa. It saved the dish! Chips were fresh and salsa was perfect. On a sparsely traveled side street that separates the Target parking lot from the 91 freeway, is an attraction that will have you slamming on your brakes and craning your neck to see what the fuss is all about. The day we came, a Sunday afternoon, there were about 10 different, brightly colored trucks lined up along the curb, lights flashing, music blaring, and lines starting to form. You can park your car in the adjacent parking lot, there's plenty of room! Yes, this a very successful food truck according to Yelp. And by far the most patronized truck I saw that day. Inside the tiny galley kitchen are 4 hustling adults, including sweet Isabelle, the food ambassador of a husband and wife duo. I loved her enthusiasm and bright smile. At this point, I want to mention that Columbian taste buds are more finicky than many of their Central and South American brothers. So do not expect hot chile anything. Their palates prefer milder, not spicy foods, even though one of the sauces served with the empanadas was a garlicky, bright, herbal, oily sauce, not unlike the Argentinian chimichurri sauce. They call it aji (ah hē). I find it very addictive. Bandera Paisa - this is a combo plate that features a fat, Columbian chorizo (a non spicy sausage), a pile of moist shredded beef, a large strip of pork belly, white rice, Columbian red beans, a fried egg, avocado, and several pieces of fried sweet plantain. There is also one Cheese Arepa included. This dish can easily be shared by two and is a phenomenal deal and interesting taste adventure. Beef Arepa. This is basically a fried masa pocket substantially filled with their signature shredded beef, then topped with guacamole and white cheese. This is very similar to their beef empanadas, so I would encourage ordering one or the other, not both. It's big. Beef Empanadas (3). This is not your usual empanada. The generous beef filling is made from their sensational slow-cooked, flavorful shredded beef with a hint of corn and vegetables. The pastry is actually made of a coarse grained masa, formed into the traditional moon-shape, then deep-fried. It is heavier and far more filling than what I am accustomed to, but it has a chewy, coarse textured mouth appeal and rich flavor. One order is 3 empanadas. They offer an interesting variety of drinks, the most notable being their iced Columbian coffee (intensely rich, creamy, and sweetened) and a Passion Fruit Slushy that is an exotic fruity perfection. Both are pre-made and served out of a dispenser. Columbiana soda, plus other sodas and juices, are available in bottles and cans. The only downside is the seating. A few wooden tv trays and canvas folding chairs are set up on the uneven dirt adjacent to the sidewalk. It appears that using the sidewalk is off limits for seating. I loved their cute, vibrant Cuban music, but oftentimes it became overwhelming as it competed with another truck's equally loud Mexican music right next to them. That, and the seating, effectively convinced me that eating my food elsewhere was probably a better idea, even though sweet Isabelle was frequently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bill was really reasonable, considering the amount of food we had. It was approx. $42, and there was plenty to bring home for another day.
