Came in for late lunch with sweetheart. Place was empty when we got in. She ordered breaded pork cutlets and arroz con pollo for myself. I wanted caldo de pata originally on the list of anout 5 soups but lady serving us said they have only the caldo de pescado. Menu prices on the high side compared to others but we want to try and see how good the food are. Ambiance not comfortable because of language barrier. Communication not easy and simple. Food not bad but not great either flavor wise (served warm & or hot). Pork cutlets on the dry side Portions though are generous. Coming back is a "maybe".

I went with my partner and, personally, the food was delicious; we truly enjoyed everything. However, I believe the customer service could be improved, as the attention was somewhat limited and the preparation of the dishes took longer than expected. Even so, the overall experience was good. The place is small and cozy, perfect for a relaxed lunch, especially on a Sunday. As a final touch, when we finished our meal, they offered us arequipe along with a Bon Bon Bum, a traditional Colombian candy, which was a very nice gesture. I understand that experiences may vary, but in our case it was not as negative as some of the other reviews I have read.

Peor servicio y restaurante. Necesitan trabajar en darle mejor servicio al cliente. Están muy mal organizados . 2 arepas y 2 cafés fueron $27- muy caro!

I'm Colombian so please understand that I've eaten at several Colombian restaurants. I'm in a quest to find a place with authentic dishes. First of all, they didn't have empanadas (big negative). Then I ordered the sobrebarriga but again they didn't have any even though it's in the menu, so Iordered the bandeja paisa.. I ordered a manzana soda and a Colombiana soda for my wife, they were 10.48 Oz cans, very small but the charge what other restaurants charge for the 12 Oz cans. When our food came my stake was half fat (see picture attached, what's left is all fat) I got one thing slice of plantain that wasn't "maduro". The arepa was thin and seemed to be fried! The place was small and I could hear the full conversation from the table on the other end. When it was time to pay my bill they said that they couldn't accept credit card payments (even though they post that the accept all forms of credit card payment) so I had to Zelle. Overall the experience, the food and service were way WAY below expectations. So far the best Colombian food for taste, service and authenticity is Donde Adelas in Orange is the best!

    Carne Asada

I got the Carne asada plate and OH MY GOSh. The serving portion is big, and the food is always high quality. I also get agua de mora en leche, 10/10. I recommend. Service is very nice, and the vibes are always good in there.

Food was good. Service was not so great but friendly a couple things I did not like was their menus have no description of the food served and you must either pay cash or Zelle no credit cards accepted, it's fine but it would be nice to have known that at the beginning. I will say it's cute and clean overall. Now their coffee 10/10 delicious ask for sugar if you like it sweet. The calentao paisa 8.5/10 is good and I appreciate the portion, can easily feed two people. Calentao montañero 7/10 was ok same as the paisa just mixed together again feed up to two people. Arepas con queso was good 8/10

On a sparsely traveled side street that separates the Target parking lot from the 91 freeway, is an attraction that will have you slamming on your brakes and craning your neck to see what the fuss is all about. The day we came, a Sunday afternoon, there were about 10 different, brightly colored trucks lined up along the curb, lights flashing, music blaring, and lines starting to form. You can park your car in the adjacent parking lot, there's plenty of room! Yes, this a very successful food truck according to Yelp. And by far the most patronized truck I saw that day. Inside the tiny galley kitchen are 4 hustling adults, including sweet Isabelle, the food ambassador of a husband and wife duo. I loved her enthusiasm and bright smile. At this point, I want to mention that Columbian taste buds are more finicky than many of their Central and South American brothers. So do not expect hot chile anything. Their palates prefer milder, not spicy foods, even though one of the sauces served with the empanadas was a garlicky, bright, herbal, oily sauce, not unlike the Argentinian chimichurri sauce. They call it aji (ah hē). I find it very addictive. Bandera Paisa - this is a combo plate that features a fat, Columbian chorizo (a non spicy sausage), a pile of moist shredded beef, a large strip of pork belly, white rice, Columbian red beans, a fried egg, avocado, and several pieces of fried sweet plantain. There is also one Cheese Arepa included. This dish can easily be shared by two and is a phenomenal deal and interesting taste adventure. Beef Arepa. This is basically a fried masa pocket substantially filled with their signature shredded beef, then topped with guacamole and white cheese. This is very similar to their beef empanadas, so I would encourage ordering one or the other, not both. It's big. Beef Empanadas (3). This is not your usual empanada. The generous beef filling is made from their sensational slow-cooked, flavorful shredded beef with a hint of corn and vegetables. The pastry is actually made of a coarse grained masa, formed into the traditional moon-shape, then deep-fried. It is heavier and far more filling than what I am accustomed to, but it has a chewy, coarse textured mouth appeal and rich flavor. One order is 3 empanadas. They offer an interesting variety of drinks, the most notable being their iced Columbian coffee (intensely rich, creamy, and sweetened) and a Passion Fruit Slushy that is an exotic fruity perfection. Both are pre-made and served out of a dispenser. Columbiana soda, plus other sodas and juices, are available in bottles and cans. The only downside is the seating. A few wooden tv trays and canvas folding chairs are set up on the uneven dirt adjacent to the sidewalk. It appears that using the sidewalk is off limits for seating. I loved their cute, vibrant Cuban music, but oftentimes it became overwhelming as it competed with another truck's equally loud Mexican music right next to them. That, and the seating, effectively convinced me that eating my food elsewhere was probably a better idea, even though sweet Isabelle was frequently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bill was really reasonable, considering the amount of food we had. It was approx. $42, and there was plenty to bring home for another day.

At this point it was just the two of us and the server. Waited roughly 45 minutes for our food because it looks like the server decided to take a lunch while we wait for our food. The server did not check on us or apologize to us that it was taking a while for the food to come out until she saw the frustration on our face and inform us the food is almost ready! 45 minutes later, she brought out the empanadas and I received two chicken and one shrimp... it was OK with the help of the sauces that was given. The shrimp ceviche was actually good, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Here's the thing, the menu does not have prices on it and when we received the bill, the ceviche was $22! The interior is colorful with faux windows on the wall and nice "Colombia" letters above the register. The menu is extensive though prices NOT listed on the paper menus. Food is slightly on the more expensive side but portions are decent in return. We ordered empanadas, jugo de lulo, aguapanela con limón, mondongo, and bistec a caballo. I also sampled some of their arepa con queso, bandeja paisa, and picada dishes that our friends ordered. Unfortunately, the restaurant was out of many drinks and also sold out of desserts. The mondongo was excellent and piping hot, but I am a big fan of tripe; it was served with rice and shredded cabbage. The bistec a caballo came as a large piece of steak and was bathed in a flavorful sauce and came with rice, a cup of beans, and a fried egg. The drinks and empanadas were also tasty. Overall, it was an excellent meal other than slightly subpar service on this visit. I would love to return on Fridays for their ajiaco, and Sundays for their sancocho!

But the limited menu looked promising so we gave it a go. It turned out that everything was delicious. The spare rib was fall off the bone tender and had great smoky flavor. The beans were surprisingly tasty too. (I always find beans an unnecessary and bland accompaniment). I absolutely loved the brisket stir fry. The flavors blended well and it had a nice kick. The meat was so tender and I appreciated the meat to noodle ratio. The chicken inside the empanada was deliciously smoky but not overly so and the crust was the right consistency and crisp. It came with 3 sauces which were good but would have like a more spicier option. I tried two cocktails that were in the collab menu. The black old fashioned was too strong for me. I definitely preferred the buffalo soldier which was tasty and refreshing. My favorite dessert was the Natilla. It was like a flan mousse and so good. The toasted coconut flakes added a nice texture. The oblea was fun to eat. That cream and jam were a great combo. Overall a worthwhile experience. I hope to come back to try their regular menu items.
