I've been wanting to try this place as they are consistently in foodie influencer content on Instagram & while it lives up to the hype I couldn't give this place 5 stars due to service. The gentleman that helped us was a bit pushy with us getting an entire pie rather than singular slices due to cost. He would've probably had better success had his approach been different. The restaurant itself is very small, they have a very strange system for the door & order placing. The advertised hot honey is an up charge and a hefty one at that. The sake lemonade was yummy & the highlight of the experience. I tried the margherita pizza & thoroughly enjoyed it. read more

The hype is truly worth it. Been twice now and it's our favorite pizza in Miami! Don't let the line scare you away, it moves fast. There's one for takeout (no call aheads) and one to be seated. Each time we've gone its only been a 15-20 min wait. Our favorites: Leeks on bacon Mushroom truffle You NEED to get the pepperoni proper with the all kicks upgrade. It's the best slice you'll ever have Such a fun casual atmosphere, we love sitting at the bar and chatting with the chefs. They also have a couple great beers and some aperitivo type cocktails. read more

Coming from New York I didn't think Miami had pizza this good. When you walk in, they have an upscale vibe. You order your pizza and wait. I got the truffle slice and pepperoni slice with Burrata & basil. Both slices were so good. Crunchy off first bite. The toppings were on point. The truffle slice had that cheesy & truffly flavor mixed together. The pepperoni slice had sweet hot honey with the cool Burrata cheese with herby basil and savory pepperoni. They're serving up quality pizza. New York got competition with this one. read more

Pizza is bomb and pricey. No way around it. We spent $100 on our first visit. This was trying almost every slice and some liger cookies. No regrets, it is what it is. I wish they had a larger location for more indoor seating. My only complaint. It is however a dope little spot if you get to seat inside. It's like Dinner and a show since the kitchen is exposed. Low lighting. When I come here I know what to expect, they are consistent with their food and service. Once you order it you get Your good pretty quick. I am a sucker for pepperoni so that's what I will always recommend. And order the cookie. It's from a local dude. One of my favorite cookies ever. read more

This pizza spot is undoubtedly worth every bit of the hype it receives! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma of freshly baked pizza filled the air, instantly making my mouth water. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with a bustling energy that reflected the popularity of this place. We got lucky and got sat by the bar so we could see all the magic while it was being baked! What truly sets this pizza spot apart is the attention to detail and the commitment to using the finest ingredients. Each slice was a burst of flavors that left me craving more. The lines are there and keeps replenishing with more people arriving, but at least nothing is sold out when you get to ordering. I arrived at 5:20 PM on a Sunday and there was already a substantial number of people waiting to place a takeout order. There is a staff member who goes through the line just to ask if you're going to be dining in or taking out. You can get a seat at their counter inside to dine in, but otherwise there is not much room inside. Some people put in their orders and get a line beer ($5 Polar pilsner) to drink outside while waiting. I do appreciate that you can take your takeout pizza box and sit on the patio to eat your purchases. They have a water cooler with cups available for people in line and on the patio outside. Trust me when I say it is needed for surviving standing in line this humid sweltering Miami weather. They even have a rack to throw your pizza box if you finish eating your pizza so they can recycle the boxes. They take and put together an order at a time, so you get pandemic times vibes being allowed inside to place an order at the counter. The door is shut after someone comes out and another person is allowed inside. A great way to increase the anticipation of placing an order, and an ingenious way to make me want to order a slice more than I had intended. I didn't get any sauces on the side since I'm a purist about enjoying the dish as is before adding other flavorings, but I know now to return for sauces. The pizza slices themselves were lovely. They were all dressed with pillowy shreds of parmesan that allowed the cheese aroma to float as you took a bite. The Pepperoni Proper ($8.25) was fantastically unctuous and had those curly pepperoni slices that give that nice crunch when you bite in. I haven't been on the hot honey train for very long, but the sweetness of the honey really gave a new dimension to the flavor of the pie. It could have been spicier---I couldn't pick up on any of the hot flavor. The Leeks on Bacon ($9.25) was unfortunately way too rich for me. I had been excited to try this because I love the sweetness of leeks when they are cooked, and it's hard to find leek employing dishes. On paper, a garlic confit cream sounds delightful, but it was quite heavy on the cream, even spread out on the crust. The bacon they used was mostly fat when you took a close look at the slices. And remember, they topped the pizza with that fluffy shredded parmesan. The La Salsera ($8.25) was very intriguing to me, and it came off more of a marinara sauce pizza with that signature squiggle of pesto sauce. I couldn't see or taste a lot of the vodka sauce that is supposed to be the third sauce on the pie, but the combination of the densely flavored sauces with the parmesan was delightful to see and taste. What I feel makes the pizza pies special to eat is the crust. It is the closest to bread dough that I've seen, which makes it a great part of the pizza to eat in its own right, with or without sauce or toppings. I hope no one throws these crusts away, but if I see any of my friends doing so with these crusts, I would without a doubt eat them. The price tag of the pizzas ($47-63 for specialty whole pies) would not let me make a regular trip here, but it is certainly a nice treat for yourself on occasion. Get yourself in line, sip a line beer and see what the hype is about! read more

The staff was friendly and the line moved pretty quickly but the location is in a weird spot. We had to park 4 streets down. Honestly is mostly hype. The slices are over priced and nothing special. Just a few tips: - there's a line for dine in & one for take out - yes, the takeout line is really that long - things sell out - got in line around 7, ordered around 7:30 and mushroom truffle and three cheese dip were out :( - the margherita is really that good Overall - I never thought I'd wait in line for 30 minutes for pizza but truthfully, I'd do it again and again. I probably wouldn't get the leeks on bacon again as it wasn't my fav but I'd probably double up on the marg and definitely would get the mushroom truffle and la salsera to try I took it upon myself to compare Miami slice and Joes - Miami slice took the crown without hesitation. The crust stayed crispy, even when I had leftovers the next morning. Their tomato sauce is SO good. I'll definitely be getting Miami slice again the next time I'm in Miami. Easily the best pizza in Miami !!! I have been impressed by Miami Slice both during takeout and dine-in experiences. Cannot recommend enough When you get to the restaurant, you stand in one of two lines: one for seating at the indoor slice bar, and one for takeout and/or seating outside. The slice bar is a very limited seating countertop vibe, so I'd recommend getting there a bit before opening time to be seated immediately. It is 100% worth it though - great vibe inside and so fun to see the pies made right in front of you. I was extremely pleased with the takeout process as well - once I made it to the front of the to-go line and placed my order, I had my food in hand within 15 mins. As far as the pizza goes, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. My favorites are the pepperoni proper with the kicks (hot honey and stracciatella) and the la salsera. The slices end up being around ~$8 each, but so so flavorful without being too heavy or soggy! read more

I got lucky avoiding the long lines by visiting within an hour before closing. The space is small with limited seating but there was plenty of seating go outside. The slices here are creative, incredibly flavorful, and made well. Pepperoni Proper: I loved the generous amount of pepperoni on this pizza. Hot honey and pepperoni is an elite combo and they did it amazingly. Each bite was perfection--spicy, savory, and just the right amount of crunch La Salsera: A sauce lover's dream! With layers of red sauce, vodka sauce, and pesto. It's all my favorite sauces on one slice, and it might just be my top pick! Leeks on Bacon: Unexpected but delicious. The combo was unique, flavorful, and left me wanting another slice. I went with two friends that are from New York and they said it's comparable to the pizza they would get back home. I don't see the hype & didn't taste the hype either. It's good, decent pizza but not worth an hour and twenty minute wait. Almost $8 per slice is kind of crazy given that they use basic ingredients! If you have time to waste and stand in a line , in the heat for average pizza, then go right ahead. The staff was really nice and they have beers for $5 for customers waiting on line as well as a cooler by the door with cold free water in order to hydrate while waiting. You have the option of eating inside which you would have to sign up to that list upon arrival. If not, you can eat at the Terrance after ordering. Last night we passed by before HH to grab a slice (take out only) and waited about 30 mins in line but it's worth it every time. If you're looking for pizza, this is a great place! It's newly remodeled, looks nice, and is very clean. There are both indoor and outdoor areas. The menu is small, with only five kinds of pizza, available by the slice or as a 20'' pie. They also have a good selection of drinks. It was my first time here, so I tried a few different slices - Margherita, Pepperoni, and Mushroom Truffle. I loved every one of them! My favorite was the Mushroom Truffle; it was super delicious! The Pepperoni pizza had an optional sweet and spicy sauce, which the cashier asked about, and it gave the pizza a great flavor. The pizza slices were pretty big. If you're hungry, two slices should be enough. If you're just a little hungry, one slice will do. Prices are reasonable. The most expensive pizza is the Mushroom Truffle at $10.75 per slice or $63 for a whole pie. It's definitely worth trying! I read that the pizzeria is always busy. When I got there on a Thursday night around 8:15 p.m., all the tables inside and outside were taken, and there was a small line for tables. Luckily, the take-out line only had two people before me, and I waited about 8 minutes to order. The place does not accept cash, by the way; they have a notice on the entrance door. It took only 5 minutes to prepare my order. But as I was leaving, I saw that the take-out line had grown to about 12 people! This place is definitely busy! I highly recommend this pizzeria if you're looking for good pizza in Miami and want it by the slice. The location is a bit tricky, though. The area around it is still being developed, so walking there can be complicated, and the neighborhoods around might not feel safe. But if you drive, you'll be fine. Flavors were absolutely delicious, especially when you add the Stracciatella and Hot Honey over the top! My only complaint is the crust was so hard, burnt and hallow and I love a good crust! This small pizza place in the heart downtown has mood lighting and a cool almost speakeasy vibe. We ordered one of each of the slices they offer and shared to try all the options. The slice options are the Margherita De La Casa, Pepperoni Proper, La Salcera, Leeks on Bacon, and Mushroom Truffle. All of the slices were presented to us at the same time and I loved how you can see as they are being prepared. Each one was delicious, but of course, some stood out more than others. My favorite was the Pepperoni Proper with all the kicks, the hot honey is the perfect finishing touch to this work of art. La Salcera was good and creamy. I didn't try the mushroom truffle, but Nat and Chris liked it; Chris rubbed some of the hot honey that was on the dish onto the mushroom truffle and said it made it even better. Leaks on Bacon was a pleasant surprise, it is packed with a lot of flavor. We also tried their special slice and I was not a fan because of the shallots, Chris said was very spicy. Mostly hype. I travel to NY a lot for work and i can't event compare the quality. There are for more better pizza joints in NYC so for this place to claim they have mastered the NY pizza, its so far from the truth. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is decent but not worth waiting 45 minute to over an hour in line. Miami crowd needs to understand how long it takes to make the perfect pizza. It takes more than 2 to 4 years to master the craft. Unfortunately , I'd give this a solid 3 stars considering the price they charge for mediocre slices. Miami slice is easily among the best pizza I've had in south Florida and worth the hype. I got the pepperoni and the leeks & bacon. The pizza was really thin, and the crust was still fluffy. What really stood out was the quality of ingredients they are using. The pepperoni they use was great, I like that they evenly spread the pep throughout the slice so you get it with every bite and the hot honey is pretty subtle with a nice kick. The leeks and bacon was one of a kind. Reminded me of pizza from mellow mushroom but 100x better. I don't always like onions in pizza because they are overpowering but the Leeks were subtle with the taste and texture with the garlic confit cream and thick crispy pieces of bacon. It all went together really nicely and could tell they are using quality ingredients. Compared to other places in miami: Miami slice: 9.5/10 read more

It's hard for any business to come close to living up to the hype Miami Slice has received. Dave Portnoy rates it as the best pizza in Miami, the social media buzz is ridiculous, and the waiting line is typically a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I'm here to tell you what's pretty obvious: it's not the best pizza in Miami. The margarita pie barely has any mozzarella. Sure, they shave some fresh cheese on top but that can't make up for the lack of melted cheese. The sauce is ridiculously good and the crust is extremely thin. But Zazzy's, Eleventh Street, and Cife City offer better pies. Additionally, the price is absurd. $43 for a pepperoni pie, $8 for a slice. Once the hype dies it'll be difficult convincing scores of people to pay these prices.I read more
